I genuinely love hearing that season 2 is going to focus more on the Vees. Their psychopaths, but there's never a dull moment with them, and I love the impact they have.

Yeah, season 2 will just give pieces to the puzzle rather than answering all the questions. That is kind of disappointing because it means even when S2 releases, we don't get all our answers until the end of S3 at the earlier D:

It does sound like she's planning on leaving room for more seasons if they get greenlit, but I'm hoping Season 2 is narratively satisfying on its own even if we don't get more

I absolutely loved the show, but I'm really hoping for a lot more episodes in the next seasons, the biggest problem with the first season was the pacing, but increasing the amount of episodes to at least twelve or thirteen would really do the show some good. We also need some episodes that avoid the main plot line and delve more into character building. Even though the show has its flaws, it was absolutely astounding and definitely and 10/10 for me.

The show is a 10/10 but it was a very "raw" masterpiece. The pacing is so high speed, we get too many infos at once in between the flashy musical numbers. It's an intense show

@@lilkeyla5769 Exactly, everyone needs to remember that people have been waiting for this show for a DECADE. Imagine the devastation of both the fans and Vivienne if it got canceled for some ballshit reason. Vivienne did her best to give her fans what they wanted in case of the worst happening, and that’s something that a lot more people need to notice and respect.
When I saw Sir Pentious got blasted: my jaw dropped, eyes widened, and was in denial that he still got something on his sleeves, but then it was dragging too long and so I was ready to throw hands in this show for killing the lovable theatre kid
I got teary eyed and paused the show for a minute because I literally didn't see it coming｡ﾟ(ﾟ´Д｀ﾟ)ﾟ｡
So I was really really happy at the end

I mean is it honestly just for the collectibility aspect? I mean I'd be willing to buy like a digital copy of the songs online. But I mean they are already getting my money because I subscribe to Amazon Prime. So I'm just curious why you would want physical media especially dated physical media?
@@jaimemunoz5920recently a major media company erased a BUNCH of really amazing cartoons off the internet without any prior warning. Some of these shows never got a physical release so the only way to see them anymore is through illegal means (which could be shut down by the feds at any moment). If you love the show and want to watch it no matter what the future holds I think it’s always a good idea to invest in a physical copy to keep. Of course that’s just me, if you don’t wanna get a dvd don’t get one lol

In Episode 6, when, scared of rejection by Cherri Bomb, Sir Pentious says he will "_____ everyone" in the bar, a bar patron keeps yelling, "I LOVE ALCOHOL!" Was that improvised? I laughed every time because whoever's saying that is making explicit what is usually just implied. 😁

I hope so too! I think 8 episodes was a good start for this first season but maybe next season up the count to 10 or 12 episodes. Also the first season was excellent!

I watched the pilot week after it was dropped 4 years ago and absolutely felt in love with it, when they dropped a trailer for season 1 i couldn't even believe it, i even teared up watching it.
Now after watching the finale i'm astonished, i loved every second of the show, I really do hope they somehow release it in a year, not two!
The best question to ask Viv would be "are there already correct theories about the biggest mysteries of the series somewhere around in the Internet?" because it still leaves us guessing which ones but gives us hype to check out all of them xD Honestly I wish there are some correct guesses already xD

I remember how Philip Pullman's _His Dark Materials_ draws inspiration from _Paradise Lost_ about a Luciferian rebellion against Heaven, except Philip Pullman is explicit in sympathizing with the Luciferian side. But I think that sort of story of rebellion was most well-executed with _Hazbin Hotel_ . 😊

I do hope that if they learn anything from season one, and I guess this is more on the producers, it's to give the show more episodes so it has room to breathe and set itself up so there's less of those more jarring pacing issues
OMG. I don't know anything about how animation works but when she started talking about the voice actors improving for "volla" or what it's called, I immediately thought about that moment where Angel is screaming in the background after Vaggie threw them from the building LOL

About a 2 year wait makes sense. Arcane's first season took 6 years to produce and the wait between that and season 2 is cut in half. At least here they have the cast and the character models and everything established. We're not starting from scratch.

It seems the show catches the most flack for its ultra-fast pacing, but I expected that. It's been part of Viv's style since the beginning. "Inside of Every Demon is a Rainbow," from the pilot, is too fast to follow, but funnier because of it. I just figured she's animating for the era of TikTok. Everybody has pause, slow, and rewind. It doesn't bother me.
That song is fast because it's just made to be a fast song. Plenty of slower songs in the show. Pilot had a lot in it because it had to really sell the show and concept. I'm pretty sure it wasn't her decision that they were only given 8 episodes(only 25 minutes each! Even other 8 episode series get 40 minutes or so). She has had years to work on this project, I highly doubt they didn't have to cut out or change a ton of stuff considering the massive amount of details she's thought up for this show and the characters; heck, almost every single frame has details in it to show as much as possible. They had to work with the time constraints they got, so yeah, the pacing is going to be fast even if they didn't want it to be. Also, I think it's a bad thing to cater to the 'era of Tiktok' so I hope she is not doing that, we don't need to downgrade our attention spans. It's not just about pausing and rewinding, it's the fact they clearly cannot fit everything in without rushing to the next moment; this is apparent in the way they did huge time-skips, put scenes to play out in the background, and did cut-away offscreen moments rather than letting the audience watch the development actually unfold. They simply did not have time for more. The pacing is valid criticism when so many people notice it, and it doesn't mean they hate the show, because it's the opposite. People love the show so much they are saying that they want to see more of it and not have it be rushed through. Now that the success is clear, it may be given more time.
TLDR; The fast pacing is most likely due to the time constraints they were forced to work with and not because they intentionally wanted it to move that fast
Yes, that is clearly her style and I love it. Fact that I have to rewind and watch many scenes in slow motion to catch all the details doesn't bother me. Its clearly ADHD in tv show form 😅
The first season wasn't bad but there was a lot keeping it from being great. The pacing was too fast and Amazon should have given Viv at least 12 episodes to space things out better.
I would have also preferred more episodes too but I think that is too harsh. I loved the first season and it didn’t feel rushed. They did the character development really well too. Heartstopper only had 8 episodes per season yet it was still amazing. They don’t have to have 12 episodes in a show for it to be amazing.

Honestly, so far of the Vs, Valentino seems to be the most threatening, mostly because he has direct control over one of the MC's soul. Vox isn't as powerful as Alastor on his own, and honestly seems like such a small threat.
I don't think the Vs were handled that well. I think they should have been season 1 villains, with the Angels being more of a season 2 thing.
Also, geez those lyrics at the end of the finale by them made no sense. What overlords were hanging by a thread? Alastor was missing? The only Overlords involved with the battle were Alastor and (Technically former Overlord) Husker. Those lyrics feel so out of place and throw the whole song out of whack.

Is it not stupid that if you wait about one year for a season 2, the show is hyped and everybody wants to see more i personally think if they wait to long you will lose your fans also on prime.
We’ve waited 4 years since the pilot. We didn’t even know the show was ever even going to come out until last year. Now that more episodes are confirmed, another year is nothing.
Shows like Attack on Titan had a 5 year gap between seasons and it’s still considered one of the most hyped shows out there. If your writing is done well enough to keep your fans loyal and involved for years in between updates, you’re doing things right.
Quality hand drawn animation is slow and expensive, they dont "wait", the production takes so long.

Also, i like the idea in the focus of the V's, maybe we can saw what happened 7 years ago in that fight between alastor and vox, and how exactly alastor Gone and why.
I think one of the V's will die in the last ep of s2, keeping a possible tradition to kill a character at the end of every season, i think could be Val, and that will make angel free of his contract :)

Personally I wish the big pentious moment was that he got his attack off but it did absolutely nothing and then gets deleted in the middle of an "oh Fu-" or something. It would have still been both funny and devastating. Instead I feel like I got edged with no pay off and by the time the characters were reacting I was still stuck in an unsatisfied moment so it took me out of it instead of being funny. But honestly that's my only complaint of the entire finale and I recognize it's just my own opinion.
