🐘I missed to mention in the video that this Safari was 3 hours, in case you are wondering 😊 🇱🇰 My Sri Lanka travel guide (over 60 pages, travel tips, routes etc.) ➡ tinyurl.com/kenabroadsrilanka 🛌 My hotel at the Udawalawe National Park ➡ ua-cam.com/video/etR3hl4B5KI/v-deo.html
Hi Ken, I was in Yala national park by the time before Covid, there s lots of Zeep cars which disturbed the wildlife animals: I saw a bear, many peacocks, many different kinds of birds, a big family of elephants with babies elephants, deers, mammoths, monkeys…that s it! But the nature is amazing..! I enjoyed very much your videos of Sri Lanka :)
Ken Please Visit Wasgomuwa National Park.. you can see plenty of Elephant herds.. and if possible you can stay inside the National Park as well. It will be a good experience.. Thank you for your clear explanation… Take care and Stay Safe .👍🏼
Sri Lankans are so nice , I don't think I would get the same comment section if I was to vlog Germany with German commentators. This is what makes Asian people so humble.
On the contarty, Germans have millions (figuratively) of things to be proud of their country, and if someone were to go over there and describe how beautiful the Neushwanstein castle and how amazing the black forest is, no one would care much because it's pretty common knowledge. In Sri Lanka, the people are left with a country destroyed and robbed by politicians, and the citizens are trying to scrape every bit of pride that can be taken even by a small guesture like a random UA-camr appreciating his time in here. This is the not-so-glamorous side of the reality 🙂
Hi Ken 👋🏻 wow that's early 🤣 I'm sure it's the best time to visit the safari park and spotted some wild animals. The peacocks are so beautiful 👍 hopefully you do not bump into some cheetahs or lions 😅 I've been to Featherdale Wildlife Park in Sydney , The Koala Sanctuary and also The Kangaroo Valley really awesome 👍 another one was The Night Safari in Singapore really really amazing and we get to see the animals in close shot. The tapir , wildboars would come closer to the tram and the driver had to stop the engine and everyone has to keep quiet , that was so much fun and we spotted so many animals. Anyway thanks Ken for taking us to the safari park today , awesome 👍🥰
@@KenAbroad their night safari is one of the best you would not want to miss , once you’ve been there...you would want to go again and again 😂 I went there many times since Singapore was my birth place 👍🏻
This is a lovely tour Ken. Your zoom shots were nice! Well planned. The driver was knowledgable and passionate about wild life. That also made this trip a much better one.
Greetings from my lunch break in 🏴 Ken. If you ever visit England and you go to Warwick Castle you'll see lots of peacocks wandering around. That must have been a superb experience. Thanks for sharing Ken. 👍 🇱🇰 Be safe and well 🙏
An interesting Safari tour at the Udawalawe National Park. Great sunrise view. Since l haven't been to a Safari before, guess it's wonderful to tag along. Yeah, l too understand that elephants usually roam around in herds but surprisingly the elephants there wander alone. Great video, Ken. Thanks as always 💪👍👏✌️😀
Wow, I think you spotted at least 8 species of animals (including 2 types of birds) during your half day trip to the national park. Love your zoom shots. That is more than the type of animals that I spotted during my 4 days stay at the taman negara (national park) in Pahang, Malaysia previously. However my trip was very adventurous, with river cruise, canopy walk, cave exploration and jungle trekking.
@@KenAbroad It is a forest reserve, not a safari park, but there are chalets, and facilities for hiking, jungle tracking, river cruise, rafting, canopy walk ect. But difficult to spot the big animals like tigers, elephants, did not spot any big animals during my trip, only the smaller animals like monkeys, deers and porcupine. There are national parks in every states in Malaysia, should plan a visit to one of them during your next trip.
Remember my fisrt time i saw a wild elephant, that was awesome. That is way back in 2005 in Afrika. But what a rush, so i can imagine what you felt at that moment Ken. Thanks for sharing mate, and as always, C Ya in the next one, cheers 🙌🍻
Glad to see you enjoy ur stay and out quality vlogs almost everyday. Since you are in down south, you may visit Kataragama and Thissa too, if you're curious about Sri Lankan traditional relegious rituals. (The famous Kataragama Temple dedicated to a Local God, a local leader lived 2000 years ago, is visited by thousands of Buddhist and Hindus everyday)
Good to see you enjoying beautiful Sri Lanka as I have said to you before I have been there several times one other place you should not miss is Worlds End also in a national park and very similar to Poo Chi Fa in Thailand another early start as it’s a few hours walk from the gate and you need to arrive before the clouds roll in ENJOY
Ken, you must visit Minneriya or Kaudulla National park (both are nearby) where you can see gatherings of hundreds of elephants. Visti Wilpattu national park you like to see some leopards. It is not as crowded as Yala.
Ken, if you want to see more elephants than here visit to Minneriya national park .There you will come across hundreds of wild elephants on the banks of Minneriya reservoir along with their baby elephants too. This is a tour that starts around 3.00 p.m. Also you can enjoy an elephant ride in Habarana if you wish to stay in Habarana.
This video shows that you really enjoyed the safari. I propose to visit the Bird Sanctuary "Kumana National Park". When do you visit the North Central Province? Thank Danke, gute Reise rund um Sri Lanka ❤🇱🇰
Well, this is different vlog then the one you usually do. Exploring in a Safari Park. At least you can to take some time to chill out and enjoy nature. As always, Stay safe, be vigilant, take care mate. It's official , Malaysia re-open border on 1st April 2022 ( for fully vaccinated )
Amazing tour, worth definitely. When i saw first elephant, i remembered it when you were driving a bike in Thailand and you met an elephant that was running across the street as if nothing had happened 😆
We watched the Budgeteers video of their safari in Sri Lanka and they were horrified that the jeeps were racing around chasing elephants for the public. Cathy and Kevs x
Hi ken....Malaysia border will open on 1 april 22. Maybe you will consider go to east Malaysia. But i need to warn you that Ramli burger very hard to find at Sarawak. We here prefer homemade beef patty. 😋
6:05 Some birds even coexist with the crocodile. They would pick scrap of food from the crocodile's mouth while crocodiles get their teeth clean by the bird.
Lot of vloggers are goikg Yala and udawalawa national park but there is national part call willpaththu national part where you can spot a leopards if you are lucky as well as many other animals than udawalawa and yala.
Hi...guys...sorry about power cuts...Sri Lanka was the only country in South Asia which never had power cuts ..last was way back in.2008 I think...but due to extraordinary effects of covid inflicted on our economy this was inevitable but I think steps taken to get out of it soon. Also by April end rains are expected and then no issue. We have huge coal power plant too
Ken I personally wasn’t impressed with the amount of export you got inside the Safari. The vehicle is superb.. Udawalawe is one National Park that has loads of elephants. Plenty of herds.. don’t understand why you were not taken more interior and given you more opportunity to see elephant herds… leopard spotting is rarer but you should have seen more elephants
