dude for 5 to 10$ oks i may agree but shit 190 bucks and there is idiot in the comment section saying that its worth giving them for that shit that only spins and nothing more, just because "it helps with stress and GIVES YOU STUFF TO DO" yeah it gives you the ability to be the fucking idiot that spends 190 dollars to spin some titanium shit on his fingers. I with many people relieve stress by playing videogames but shit i guess that you'll be satisfied to spin some shit on your hands whole fucking day sitting on your bed. "it relieves stress and gives you stuff to do" LOL!!!!
Me also! Who would pay almost $200 for a spinning toy??? I was so looking forward to that thing being a knife! It seems well made, but totally pointless in my book! What a waste of money!
What's the purpose of spending $200 on something that spins between your fingers? If you got that much time on your hands, I got a lot of work I could use help with.
because of the amount of machining that went into it... pick yourself up one of those $6000-$12000 machines and see how fast you can pay it off doing minor shop work... not to mention having to know typically G-Code to program most of them.
Quantum Uncertainty Workshop Designing that thing isn't hard. I can do it with ProE/Creo within an hour... if I'm slow... I guess it's mainly made out of aluminium, so material is about $5. Of course you have to calculate the wear of the milling heads and the costs of the milling machine itself. But I know, due to several projects I commissioned companies with, that such a thing won't cost me $200 if I design it by myself and ask a local company to mill it...
Why is this recommended to me ? Where is the knife blade ? Is this even a knife ? Why does it spin ? Why is it so expensive ? Im so confused right now .... I did forget about Trump became president for 4 minutes though, so there's that ....
As this thing is made by a knife company, I kept waiting for him to show us the blade component. When that didn't happen I felt a bit ripped off ! That's until I found out that this is a toy for people with nervous hands. Now I feel completely ripped off..! Are there really people out there with this kind of money to spend on semi-useless products? I mean it's really nice to look at and it spins nicely, but really?
just think about that raw satisfaction when seeing your spinner to rotate faster and smoother than this cheap dude sitting next to you with some plastic-junk spinner in his hands " omg -he's probably not even more than 100 rotations per min...plebs....IS he really doing that counter-clockwise only?!" well, u know - it happens to everyone and all the time, right? since u say that it's only semi-useless - what other use than having it rotate can u think of ? (aside from smelting and these usages that could be replaced with piece of rock...)
I mean the knife community is a collectors community for the most part. Most components of a collection are a waste of money. I can see the argument of never spending money on unnecessary stuff but certainly most people with extra money have some hobby that they waste money on yeah?
They're generally meant as fidget toys. Sometimes helps people focus on tasks that don't require both hands, or just to entertain while doing something that might not be all that fun. I know people who use them when reading books, at work reading reports, or just playing with during a conversation. Again, just something for people to fidget with.
Kyser Ehrhardt If you don't need to/like to fidget with something (ex: clicking a pen, spinning a pen, tapping your hand, spinning your phone, etc.) than it's pretty pointless. Other than that, for people that do fidget, its pretty useful to have. This device however (in the video) is just more luxurious. I think I'll stick to clicking a pen than paying $200 for a SMALL habit. But fidgeting does help some people with focusing which could be useful to them. If I don't have something to play/fidget with (which doesn't require THAT much attention) then I find it harder to focus on something. I don't get why it works like that either, but I have noticed fidgeting "toys" to work well and keep me concentrated on a task (that of course doesn't require both hands).
I'm glad someone decided to ask this in a civilized way. It's used to help people with stress and anxiety that fidget a lot. You spin it to keep your hands busy, great for someone who is quitting smoking etc.
Custom knife makers started making these because the people who are gonna dish out 190 dollars for a fidget toy are the same people who jizz over really expensive and intricate custom knives build with exotic materials and finishes with value that goes way beyond function.
"so how does it cut shit?" was all i was thinking all the way to the end of the video. was expecting hime to leave it on the table, spin it, and have it cut a circle in the table.
$190 for something that spins in your hand? Why? Is there some purpose to these that I'm missing? For $190 you could get into a hobby that you can actually benefit from. Spinners shouldn't pass $5. The only understandable purpose that they have is to give you something to do while working but you don't need a titanium spinner for that.
Wow, that is a cool looking spinner. Coming from CKF the quality will be top notch. I still haven't found any of the cheaper ones like the green one you showed.
for people wondering, these spinners are for people that fidget. it gives their hands something to do. it's for people that can't hold still and always need something to do like clicking pens or just constantly playing with something. and if you are wondering on the price, the reason it is expensive is mainly the tritium. it's a radioactive isotope that will glow with no power source and should last for about 12 years. even with knowing all of that, $200 on this is a waste of money, the tritium would be better used to make glowing gun night sights.
it's a fidget tool. It Helps to make head room. In other words it removes clutter from the users mind and helps the user focus. It subconsciously satisfies the need to fidget which opens up more room for other thoughts. It is really helpful for people with ADHD but it is beneficial for anyone really. Check out the Fidget Cube for another example of a fidget tool.
Ryan Ross sole people have a thing tgat they keep clicking their pen or moving their leg and all that so this fidget toy could help them and because of the material used to make it it looks nice and lasts longer than plastic
Kazniuz Smitherson There are metal ones for a third of that price. Why would they care if it looked nice? It's just a substitute for pen clicking. It shouldn't be so glorified.
+Ryan Ross It's a nice option for people that enjoy it. If you can't afford it don't buy it. I personally wouldn't buy one of these. Just because you or I Won't be getting one doesn't mean the option shouldn't exist..
There's no fucking knife it's the name of the company you dumb fucks, what its for is for stimulation of the hand and mind. Me personally I don't see the point in these expensive one I see it a bit as a waste of money and a $10 one does the same thing, however some people like them as thy like collecting. It's a bit like expensive spinning tops or even expensive knives. Granted knives have more of a practical use in every day life but when are you ever really going to have to use a knife worth hundreds maybe even thousands of pounds. A cheaper, (by this I mean around the £200 mark if not a little less) knife will be almost just as good as a knife worth a grand. I mean a blade can only get so good at he end of the day. But I mean that's just my opinion.
Really nice craftmanship, i love the design and colors, it looks fabulous. Unfortunately the market for this object is quite small since a lot of us won't see the purpose. Anyway my eyes have been pleased so good job !
I'd be interested as to where this expensive toy lands on the "fidget-o-meter." At 3.5" long and only two "wings" it doesn't seem to lend itself to one-handed fidgeting. You use two hands yourself in the video to demonstrate its operation. That could be a fatal flaw.
For the uneducated, there have been studies done where a person with high anxiety can release that energy into a toy (for instance, a spinner) can be more relaxed with themselves. I, myself, don't have that much anxiety, but I found out that fidgeting with something in my hand (like a pen that clicks, right?) really helps me relax. But to point out on the item, yes, $190 is just effing dumb. You can make your own for under $5. Good luck!
Richard Conley I'm not condoning spending get that much money on one of these because you can get them a lot cheaper. But you clicking a pen over and over might make others want to strangle you. this is to avoid that annoying clicking noise. It's just so there is something in your hand that can be moved by fidgeting with it.
Yup me too...expected a knife. So what's he purpose of this spinner? To see a glowing circle for a minute? For the price of a microtech utx -70!? I just don't get it obviously
Everybody here saying it's okay to show a video of a spinner cause it was made by a knife company? Maybe next time he should do a piece on Gerber's line of baby food?
erik iverson never heard him call it a knife. he calls it a spinner many times, and says things like "it comes in a case, like their knives." doesn't call it a knife.
Wow hundreds of knife freaks commenting. Ya this is a spinner get over it. if you dont like it go somewhere else. You say it's a waste of money. Well if you have 10 or more knives you've probably gone past necessity. These spinners are good for PTSD or boredom whatnot. I have 2 knives. Both K-Bars from my USMC years, I don't have the desire to collect knives maybe one day i will but i doubt it. I have more guns than I need I can only shoot one at a time. I have WWI rifles, WWII rifles and modern. My point being go spend your money on the shit you want to collect. And if you dont like what someone else collects get over it how many knives do you need.
Never seen someone make so much profit off of $5 skateboard bearings... I wish I would of thought of it, I guess its time to get myself a 3d printer...
It's exactly what the title says, a spinner... it spins at higher speeds for longer periods of time due to its construction. Nothing special about it otherwise.
After searching the answer in the comment section, let me save you some time, NOPE, that place has no info at all, however there is quite a lot of wit.
girafmad it's a fidget tool. It Helps to make head room. In other words it removes clutter from the users mind and helps the user focus. It subconsciously satisfies the need to fidget which opens up more room for other thoughts. It is really helpful for people with ADHD but it is beneficial for anyone really.
wat the fuck is its purpose ? don't tell me all it does is spin ? if so ima go into this business of making useless shit to sell to people with to much money on their hands buy a few 1 doler ball bearings and get some metals from my workshop. this thing is made of titanium and copper by the looks of it titanium isn't unobtainium .. its not valuable at all e literally tons of titanium laying around the workshop man.. tbh the copper is prob worth more on that thing than the titanium is with the current price for copper being as high as it is
Lentz Dejean umm no its both. The tips are tritium to glow in the dark like the sights on a gun or hands on a watch. it's nuclear man. the rest of it is made of titanium, get it right dawg.
I dared to hope that "spinning" and "custom knife factory" in the same sentence meant that my dreams were materializing and we were going to see some Underworld style weaponry, blades going *SCHNICK* open as you hurled it toward your charging enemies... aww.
I don't personally have an interest in fidget toys, but this is a very nice bit of machining. It's a very pleasing thing to look at. But, without some utility, I wouldn't be one to buy this.
Wait....why are spinners a thing that people actually spend money on??? I've never seen one of these and though it was some kind of cool custom knife, but no, its just an over priced thing that does nothing but spin. Seems like a 4000% waste of titanium and copper.
@XTR@T3RESTRIAL Where you got your info from boy? Last time I check, titanium "(AS IN RAW)" is range between $1.89 to $3.19 per "POUND" and can even go up to $30 or more depending to the purity and quality. one lb is not even half kilogram. The titanium is not even that pricy compare to the manufacturing cost in the production line when titanium is involve.
rmsb1984 ferro titanium is $3.87 a KILO. you can look it up but that wasn't my point anyway, im saying that the spinner cost the amount that it does because of the tritium used in the spinner itself.
This video needed 100% more knife...
And Cowbell
0 * 2 still equals 0
erik iverson GREAT FUCKING JOKE BRO
Hah, Lol I remember that SNL skit. Damn, I still remember when SNL was funny... Good times... Good times...

Why spend $1000 on a knife with the same steel as one thats $200. Lol because its nice having nice things.
Hmmm... a piece of metal with a ball bearing in the middle. Is there a hidden compartment with $190 inside or why is that 200 bucks?
because of the amount of machining that went into it... pick yourself up one of those $6000-$12000 machines and see how fast you can pay it off doing minor shop work... not to mention having to know typically G-Code to program most of them.

yea its a FIDGET TOY. just to keep your hands busy.
what are spinners used for? do they JUST spin?
Pretty much.
Hi interesting vid.
What is the purpose of this product. what does it do besides spin?
That's all it does. Literally the biggest waste of $200 ive ever seen
I'm glad someone decided to ask this in a civilized way.
It's used to help people with stress and anxiety that fidget a lot. You spin it to keep your hands busy, great for someone who is quitting smoking etc.
have you ever heared of a biro?
Thanks for info
Michelangelo Dattoma what do video games do besides being fun
The most amazing thing about this video is the amount of hits
I don't get it. almost 200 bucks for something that does nothing but spin? Why?
i don't get it. $1000 for something that does nothing but cut? why?
jaqs smith I don't understand your reply. I wouldn't pay $1000 for a knife, sword, axe, or anything else that cuts.
zieg quantom exactly
jaqs smith your a legend bro
I think this is the best spinner for the value! Super sick.
Where was the 'knife' part?
Custom Knife Factory (CKF) is the brand name/company name that makes the Pepyakka Spinner.
Ok - must have glossed over that part!
That's what I thought at first too, I was expecting a knife blade to pop out lol.
Custom knife makers started making these because the people who are gonna dish out 190 dollars for a fidget toy are the same people who jizz over really expensive and intricate custom knives build with exotic materials and finishes with value that goes way beyond function.

What the actual shitfuck is a spinner and why is it worth two hundred ass dollars
I want to know too
its for people who fidget a lot. like when you tap your foot or click a pen. it gives your hands something to do.
lmao ikr all the bs in the world and they making hand dildos
Kevin Martindale genuinely giggled at this. noice!
That One Weeb
I think my fidgety hands would be happier if they were holding two hundred bucks instead
200 bucks for a novelty toy spinner , must be a wealthy person stress tool
backyardbuilttrucks1 #firstworldproblems
backyardbuilttrucks1 holy shit! What a pointless device!
Its only expensive because of what it's made of. Also it's basically a piece of art
Why should I pay 190 bucks for a bearing with to hunks of mettle on the side
That looks great. I wish I could get me one of those. Thank you for sharing.
Where the hell is the knife
Dude seriously, that stuff is radioactive!
Yes, my spidey senses are tingling
for a custom knife shop, this product seems to be absolutely waste of time & materials. what does this have anything to do with a knife?
The website is called Custom Knife Factory but what is being showcased is a Pepyakka Spinner.
Looks like the goddamn matrix of leadership hehe.
Gotta love how everyone is complaining about knives. The company's name has nothing to do with this. It's a spinner, it spins.
where are the blades. a knife review should show the blade as well as the handle and other stuff
Richard Ball it's not a knife, that's all it does is spin.
I was trying to be funny
All the comments are about how this is click bait because it doesn't have a knife but remember this is an edc channel not just a knife review channel
$190 fidget gadget? w.t.f.
Titanium, Ceramic bearing and Tritium, a radioactive element that costs $30,000 per gram.
+Azagro while they're at it why don't they just start making platinum eyelets on tennis shoes
Jason A Stevens Ask them. Apparently it's still sold out.
+Azagro this is an item for people who take fidgeting way too seriously, people who are stupid, or people who just have "fuck me" money.
Jason A Stevens It's probably more like a collector's thing. A hobby. Like how people collect knives, rocks, etc.
for people wondering, these spinners are for people that fidget. it gives their hands something to do. it's for people that can't hold still and always need something to do like clicking pens or just constantly playing with something.
and if you are wondering on the price, the reason it is expensive is mainly the tritium. it's a radioactive isotope that will glow with no power source and should last for about 12 years.
even with knowing all of that, $200 on this is a waste of money, the tritium would be better used to make glowing gun night sights.
So this is just a fidget toy ?? No knife or defense purpose ? This can be made for under $20 by anyone in metal shop .
Ermm, no it can't. Tritium is (minimum) $15 per vial so that's already $60 for the 4. Titanium machined body isn't cheap either
This can be made with aluminum and copper and a little steel . Just polish them each out and it would be just about the same.
So what you're saying is that a crappy clone made out of inferior materials could cost less than $20 ?
Basically what you're saying is, why buy a ferrari when you cna have a fiat punto for 1/1000 of the price.
^this

wait I thought this was a knife
I think this is the final piece left to complete my time machine. =)
190$!? That's fucking ridiculous
the_0ne_nd_0n1y _ knowing the material and quality it shouldnt be a surprise
Why would they use material like that on something so stupid.
Ryan Ross sole people have a thing tgat they keep clicking their pen or moving their leg and all that so this fidget toy could help them and because of the material used to make it it looks nice and lasts longer than plastic

Coolest spinner I've seen!
Probably that particular opinion is in the minority..........
I like it too. Not paying $190 for it though, I think if it were about $90 it might be a little more feasible.
Knifeguy hell fucking no
could someone explain what's special about that and what the hell it is

Pretty much, but I only just found out about them as well
You say you do your best to answer question, I see a lot of people asking WTF this thing is and what it is for...
So can you please answer that?
It's exactly what the title says, a spinner... it spins at higher speeds for longer periods of time due to its construction. Nothing special about it otherwise.
Mugen okay, but why and for what?
Not doing this again, it spins NOTHING more or less. There is no underlying cause or reason people would buy it that's what it does.
Mugen All it does is spin...? For 150$???
WTF is that?
It spins and then what?
I don't get it, what is it for?
After searching the answer in the comment section, let me save you some time, NOPE, that place has no info at all, however there is quite a lot of wit.
girafmad it's a fidget tool. It Helps to make head room. In other words it removes clutter from the users mind and helps the user focus. It subconsciously satisfies the need to fidget which opens up more room for other thoughts. It is really helpful for people with ADHD but it is beneficial for anyone really.
Man that's so nice but $190. Funny thing is so many people buy these things like crazy. Thanks for sharing.
In all honesty, most of that cost is probably the tritium, if you didn't know, it's a radioactive isotope of hydrogen (which is why it glows)
everything what glow is radioactive
Andrew Ewing no tritium is expensive true, but not as expensive as all that titanium.
Nolandoyourshit in the end, neither of them are helping our case for anyone one who wanted one before looking at the cost ;)
light bulbs glow
wat the fuck is its purpose ? don't tell me all it does is spin ?
if so ima go into this business of making useless shit to sell to people with to much money on their hands
buy a few 1 doler ball bearings and get some metals from my workshop.
this thing is made of titanium and copper by the looks of it
titanium isn't unobtainium .. its not valuable at all
e literally tons of titanium laying around the workshop man.. tbh the copper is prob worth more on that thing than the titanium is with the current price for copper being as high as it is
Titanium is a pain in the ass to machine.
its not titanium its tridum its a glow in a dark metal
Lentz Dejean umm no its both. The tips are tritium to glow in the dark like the sights on a gun or hands on a watch. it's nuclear man.
the rest of it is made of titanium, get it right dawg.
What even is a spinner? someone please tell me?
so it's a $190 spinning top.
Alex Minan
Sadly.... Yes.
Bit to much money for a bearing and a stick...
what is it for ?
are you going to show me what the thing does or do I clip another video
what a load of pointless rubbish!!!!!
I dared to hope that "spinning" and "custom knife factory" in the same sentence meant that my dreams were materializing and we were going to see some Underworld style weaponry, blades going *SCHNICK* open as you hurled it toward your charging enemies... aww.
ya wtf is the use for this
Hunter Dunn it's not for someone with skills like yourself. its for people who only wish they could kickflip.
I don't personally have an interest in fidget toys, but this is a very nice bit of machining. It's a very pleasing thing to look at. But, without some utility, I wouldn't be one to buy this.
BUT WHAT TF DOES IT DO?? SPIN?? WTF?
RIGHT??? LMAO!!!!
+Chris Hooper lol we will never get those 4 minutes back!!!
Daivd Otk
exactly. wtf? don't give this to a crack addict.
other than that what is the point? I don't get it.
So where does the blade come out?
WHERE IS THE KNIFE??
Billy Proctor it only spins lol
Billy Proctor you can attach blades at the spinner
I was going by the title and thought I missed something. Us old people, Bill
Selsley01 attach small razors blade
Пепяка!! Щачло ПОПЯТЧСЯ!!!! СЛАВА ОНОТОЛЕ!
wtf are you supposed to do with this?
whats it do and what is it used for? is it a weapon or is it a toy? we all need answers
So peeps spend $200 on a spinny thing to sit in the dark and make glowy circles, wow our society is truly fucked.
hey I used to run around with the juice bottle top popping it around the house making my parents crazy. is that why my son does it now?
lame af, all it does is spin. if it were a knife like everyone thought you'd have lots of likes, instead this seems like click bait.
Also how long can it spin for... SWEET VIDEO as always
what the fuc does it do....
it just spin
Looks like the top bit of a Engineers TF2 teleporter.
Wait....why are spinners a thing that people actually spend money on??? I've never seen one of these and though it was some kind of cool custom knife, but no, its just an over priced thing that does nothing but spin. Seems like a 4000% waste of titanium and copper.
autobotguy google stimming.
autobotguy - Well spotted, that man !!
titanium is only like $2 a kilo and copper is the same i think. it's the tritium that your paying for, $30000 a gram.
@XTR@T3RESTRIAL Where you got your info from boy? Last time I check, titanium "(AS IN RAW)" is range between $1.89 to $3.19 per "POUND" and can even go up to $30 or more depending to the purity and quality. one lb is not even half kilogram. The titanium is not even that pricy compare to the manufacturing cost in the production line when titanium is involve.
rmsb1984 ferro titanium is $3.87 a KILO. you can look it up but that wasn't my point anyway, im saying that the spinner cost the amount that it does because of the tritium used in the spinner itself.
so the original fidget spinner need to be charge first before you play it?
where is the fucken knife
