Hi, new to your UA-cam channel, first I want to thank you, Bethany & sooo many other crafty beavers for all the AMAZING dollar tree DIY’s!
I personally ALWAYS DIY EVERYTHING I can not afford. & @ 1 point, was always on Offerup, eBay & Mercury selling items I would find @ thrift stores or outside of strangers garage doors for trash & would turn their trash into treasures just to pay my rent & feed my daughter. (Something, she was so embarrassed to help me pick up), but knew I had no choice after losing my job & needing surgery. Long story short, did that for a year, was able to Finally return to my home which I had to lease out, just not to lose it & now I thank all of you for helping me with fixing my house very affordably, after the old tenants darn near Tore down my bungalow😤... love, love the way your DIY barn door came out, so I am getting ready to run to Walmart where I had seen a large roll of that stick on wood look, to do my basement bathroom door. Bc It’s a hideous door, hand made bathroom by original owners that lived here since 1910, shortly after this house was built. (Well the Grandson was the last owner). But this house was mostly designed by hand from the kitchen cabinets to the shower/entire bathroom in my basement. Fuggly, but The most dirtiest sturdiest bathroom you’ll ever use! The owner made sure that if The house ever fell down, that bathroom down there where are stay standing, 😂..Right hand to God! I have been a single divorced mother of two since I was only 29 years old. Naturally I was left with nothing but a 1988 gas guzzling Oldsmobile and a checking account baloney $600. I was still just a kid, never knowing anything about child support or alimony and mine legal aid attorney never did inform me of those rights, which I could have fought for In divorce court. I had to learn the hard way, that bought my first building without my ex husbands help when I was 25yrs old.(yes sadly we were still married and I was still in love so naturally he did live with me in my building). Thanks to the man above that is the one thing he did not take from me! Because he took my pride my trust my loyalty in my faith for a very long time! A woman scorn look it up and you will find my picture, LOL. AnyWho once again I thank you and the rest of the thousands of women on here that have taught me so many tricks and trades To transform my home into my dream house after I sold the building and I could not manage to Keep up with when the tenants were destroyed things, I couldn’t afford to fix on a salary of only $31,200 a year. But my credit was/ is Impeccable and back then buying wasn’t as hard as it is today. I know that teaching us all your tricks and trades is it living for most guys on UA-cam. But I still have you guys to thank For how my bungalow is turning out these past 2 years! And girls get your money because there’s no shame I am earning any Honest living while teaching others your tricks and trades. God bless!

Hey Melissa! Fear not! I love the dry brushing. On camera it makes every detail pop and it retains the homespun look. I say homespun rather than handmade because the connotation to handmade can be poorly made sometimes. Your items always look so professionally made and of artisan quality. I wish you'd do more trash to treasure items too. I love upcycling! Let the landfills go hungry, I say! LOL! You are just so fun to watch and quite lovable a person too! I just love it when you laugh at yourself too. Fun. I enjoy watching all your shows even if I can't get to them when they first post. I think that you just always lift my spirits! We use (they're called Mollys or anchors) girl!!!! My husband likes the anchors better he says it catches the thin drywall better 😉 it's the only way to hang anything heavy in a mobile home!!!

Finally get to see a UA-camr show me some awesome diy for a mobile home!!! And these are so pretty. Some of the things I’ve come to find on Pinterest I didn’t care for and were either too expensive or just looked tacky. We bought a 1981 single wide, I knew what we were getting into to begin with but my goodness, when you make a purchase like this, and intend on a refurb, know going in most mobile homes, unless it’s a new one, you will have to redo everything from the floors to plumbing to electrical and walls. You gotta have it in ya to even wanna do it. Some I wish we’d of just built a small home instead but I’ve began to live making it my own. From what I seen of your home, it’s beautiful and you’ve made it yours! Loving this channel y’all!
GIRL👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 it has taken us 5 years and only thing we have left to do is carpet and my son's bathroom. If you shoot me a msg on FB or Instagram I can show you my entire house😉😉 Molly's are my best friend here🤣🤣🤣 but I cannot stand the strips down the walls. Yes girl the floors are uneven, the plumbing and electrical is stupid and I swear they just rig them together. But I know I'm blessed and we don't owe anybody a damn dime for it so I'm thankful for everything we have. Not to mention we've saved so much money living here. Def msg me!

OMG! I have that wood grain contact/wallpaper too! I absolutely love the look. Only I got tired of my bookcases I use for kitchen storage. I covered them all with them. At first my dad said it was tacky. But once I had them finished, he completely changed his mind. He said they looked really nice. (High praise coming from him.) And I felt so much better because they looked so fresh and new. I bet your hubby was thrilled with your results. Not only did it look nice but he had some snuggle time with you between jobs.

I’m so very glad that giving creators credit is as important to you as it is to me. I hate to come off nasty in any comments. People always come hard when they think your being nasty. No one has every regretted being kind so kindness is important to me as well. However, it drives me crazy when I see people blatantly copy someone else’s original idea and not credit them for it. I see it more and more on FB groups. I can’t help but comment where I seen it originally in the comments especially when they respond to people complimenting how amazing the idea is and that they wish their 🧠 could come up with ideas like that. I make sure I word my comment very carefully without flat out calling them out but being sure to credit who was had the original idea. It is so easy to credit the person you get the idea from even if you’re not sure exactly. Just mentioning the platform you seen it on is much better than not mentioning it at all. I definitely don’t always know where I seen original ideas. I save tons of pictures that inspire me everyday. I try very hard to copy and paste the creators name or links in the description of the photo but even that isn’t always possible. I know I have even seen your creations not credited. I mentioned that others can find a full tutorial on your channel as well as other amazing things they would surely be doing interested in. We should all support and uplift other humans much more than we do. Crediting them for their work is a small but very important part of that.
