Barring some sort of massive derailment like losing interest in hockey or getting in trouble with the law, #12 on Mid-Fairfield clearly has future NHL calibre fundamentals. The kid's skating, vision and shot are legitimately elite, especially his outside edges, as evidenced in his ridiculous goal at 6:24. Seriously impressive.
P.S. Before anyone says it, I understand they're 12 but by this age you can see high-end raw skill, just look up videos of McDavid, Nylander, etc. around this age.

@clankomedia 100% fair point. Funny enough, yesterday I heard something on a Chiclets video which made me think about your comment.
Whit was talking about parents believing their 10 year old is going to be a 1st round NHL draft pick & he was like "as good as these kids are, we gotta remember they're 10. To quote Murls, don't tell me a kid is going to make the NHL until after he's discovered girls & booze. Until then, you have no idea if he has the focus & discipline necessary to become a pro athlete." (I'm paraphrasing but you get the gist.)
Turns out maintaining discipline is always hard, even if you're talented. But talent only gets you so far, just go to any major US city & watch the guys playing rec basketball at the biggest Lifetime Fitness. There's a 90% chance you'll find several guys w/the RAW physical tools to be in the NBA but never made it. Why?
To be fair, sometimes it's bc of factors out of their control, i.e. injuries. But 9/10 times its bc they lacked the discipline & work ethic to practice 6 hours/day for 6 days a week & repeat it for years on end.

What are you shooting with? Any particular color grading you're using to get the colors to pop so well?

also that green screen style paint job in the rink makes it very tempting to add in a big crowd or something!

We only use Sony products for our videos. They are the best in our opinion. We don't use a color grade, but we shoot the footage flat, and in a log profile, then do the color correction in post so that we can bring them out better.
