- She Walks in Beauty by Lord Byron
She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that’s best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes;
Thus mellowed to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.
One shade the more, one ray the less,
Had half impaired the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
Or softly lightens o’er her face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express,
How pure, how dear their dwelling-place.
And on that cheek, and o’er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent!

Ahogy itt jár kél (fordította Szabó Lőrinc)
Ahogy itt jár-kél, szép, miként
a csillagtüzes éjszaka;
fénybe árnyat és árnyba fényt
szűr arca, szeme, mosolya:
oly szeliden ragyog felénk,
ahogy a vad nappal soha.
Egy sugár még, egy árnyat el, -
s a fele báj nem volna itt,
a varázs, mely arcán tüzel
s belengi holló-fürtjeit
a drága fej körül, amely
égi eszmékről álmodik.
S mi ajkán s homlokán lebeg,
az a pír, az az eleven,
s az a derű a szeretet
munkáját zengi édesen:
földi jóságot és szivet,
melyben tiszta a szerelem.

She Walks in Beauty
BY LORD BYRON (GEORGE GORDON)
She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that’s best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes;
Thus mellowed to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.

Had half impaired the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
Or softly lightens o’er her face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express,
How pure, how dear their dwelling-place.
And on that cheek, and o’er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent!
Calm, fresh, heartfelt ... a beautiful reading. Thank you for sharing.
Perfectly read. Byron would've enjoyed this rendition. Thank you.
Nothing better than a beautiful looking person with a beautiful voice. Nothing. Seems as though nothing worth having can be bought. Nietzsche said something very similar when he said.... "all the very best things in life are gifts. Noel
My goodness. Taking me to another place here. I just love this..the words and the way they're being spoken. Really great

my favorite poem.
Jude looks the best in Wilde. He was so young, so beautifully handsome, like a blossoming wildflower, aglow with shining lights...
I've been familiar with this poem for 40 yrs.
But this time (by JL) was like I was hearing it for the first time.
Needless to say, I'm a fan.
"like I was hearing it for the first time" ... that is wonderful! That's the best compliment an actor can receive.
💕nice video,

She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that 's best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes:
Thus mellow'd to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.
One shade the more, one ray the less,
Had half impair'd the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
Or softly lightens o'er her face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express
How pure, how dear their dwelling-place.
And on that cheek, and o'er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,

I couldn't write this any better myself 😉💜
I Hope that there will be Leia Organa in Skeletron Crew from the Mandalorian where Lux Bonteri will talks at Leia: "You look alike your mother Padme Amidala that my mother Mina was her friend" as we saw his wife Ahsoka Tano and Luke Skywalker in the book of Boba Fett

May I say something sacrilegious! Jude Law did a better job here than Tom Hiddleston 😮
I thought this poem was supposed to be read, trepidly.
Why you cant make romantic or gothic, i cant feel the emotion that feel the poetry when he write this
