@@o0laieta0o I'll have to think about that one. Technically, fair housing laws says I can't say certain things, like this area is more one ethnic groups, this school is "safer", etc. It could be seen as steering or redlining. Let me discuss it with my broker and see if there is a way to do it without getting fined. Lol

@@o0laieta0o There are no neighborhoods or suburban areas that have their own independently owned restaurants. Most restaurants in Knoxville are a chain of sorts. There are independently owned restaurants but they are scattered throughout Knoxville.

Probably the easiest way is use Google maps to see it if you can. I been here 40+ years and retired living 20 minutes from here. Where I live is called Blaine and is North East of town probably 20-25 miles out in the country. Like everywhere else we do have crime here but probably like a bigger city. Out of town going west is where you find more of the nicer homes.

West Knoxville sounds nice until you mentioned liberal and diversity. Coming from Houston, diversity does not work and neither does liberal minded agendas. Farragout is where we were considering until I saw this video. Last thing we want is to move from a blue cesspool to another especially within the school boards. Anything ran by democrats and their freak show society views ruin towns and cities. I can tell by viewing Farragout HS videos online what you say is the case. Thanks for speaking about politics, people are really wanting to know these things who are relocating to the area.

You do realize that the poorest states in the country are red states, right? Besides the major cities in blue states that are riddled with crime (LA, NYC, etc.), blue states are generally cleaner, stronger economically, and draw more people to live there on a regular basis… I’d much rather live in a blue state/city than places like West Virginia, Alabama, Mississippi, etc. 🤡

East Knoxville is the least expensive. But go far enough to where you aren't "in downtown". I lived in East Knoxville, about 10 minutes from downtown and a 20-25 minute drive to work everyday. Interstate 40 runs East and West through Knoxville so it's very easy to hop on the highway and get to where you need to go. The West side is expensive, the immediate South side (Cherry Street area) is run down and full of crime. North Knoxville is OK. If you stay in the Halls or Powell area, you are fine. 😊

I grew up in Knoxville in the late 50s and 60s. Back then it was large enough to do lots of things and small enough to stay out of trouble. I lived on a street in East Knoxville that ran parallel .
to Magnolia last time I saw my old house it was a slum. The city did not make people mow their yards. This area is only a few blocks from the Park. Knoxville was never a very poor city. In an attempt to gain power in the south FDR stationed TVA in Knoxville-(Knoxville until the 80s was very Baptist and very Rebublican-) That produced a lot of rock and gravel millionaires. During WW II four billion dollars passed through Knoxville for Oak Ridge. There is so much atomic waste in the Smokies that it will soon glow at night. Knoxville is now a multicultural mess.

@@larkatmic I dont know of any progressives trying to manage my life in the Southeast. Meanwhile conservatives actively did (and still do) fight against my sisters right to marry her partner. Look up polling for gay marriage amongat the two parties constituents and how the right fought tooth and nail against marriage equality. My cousin also had to terminate her first pregnancy by recommendation from her PCP. If Conservatives got their way she may not have had that option cuz, if I remember correctly, her fetus still had a "fetal heartbeat" or whatever. On top of that Liberals/Dems are MUCH more likely to support drug decriminilization so I can do what I want in my spare time. Conservatives are liberalizing on this issue but again just look at polling.
Now dont hear me wrong I am not saying folks on the left dont come up with ways to interfere in your personal life but idk of anything being done by the left that comes close to rivaling the 3 issues I just raised that the right is currently doing to interfere in my families personal lives directly.
