i recently sent in my louis vuitton neverfull for a repair - to replace the leather trim ( the piece that goes around the opening on the bag). i share my experience like how i initiated the repair, the turnaround time, how my item turned out after the repair, discussing canvas damage with the repair specialist, and all of my thoughts 🤓

I won't buy anymore neverfulls because of how thin the canvas is compared to years past. She should have replaced the bag. For $1400 plus tax I feel the bag should withstand normal/everyday wear and tear less than a year.

Laptops and tablets are heavy for a handbag imo...maybe safer to get a small padded laptop bag that you could carry over your shoulder. Might be easier on the LV canvas and straps.
Exactly my neverfull is a year old and the canvas is already ruined I’m so disappointed ☹️
UPDATE ON PRICING NEVERFULL REPAIR 6/29/2022
I had monogram neverfull mm repair. It has a couple of splitting in the binding, they did saw some canvas cracking, but the atelier at LV STORE in costa mesa still took it, quoted me 450 to replace all leather parts plus inside pocket on my 10 year old neverfull. 😄

@@angelavalentin7846 hi they didnt as i no longer have the receipt. They did ask for my email address though. Though I previously bought some bags associated with that email. I think receipt is only for verification of purchase if you are claiming for factory damage. As long as your bag is authentic they will fix it.

AHHH, sadly i had to turn in my PSM agin... with the same glazing issues on the chappe. Thankfully they will repair it for free! I have a feeling that these issue will forever be a problem for the PSM. I think if it happens for the third time I will just allow it to do its thing and just wear it out... it just sucks that the leather is super soft and no matter how much I baby it it still happens.
yea i feel like that little piece of leather is just going to keep doing that over time, but i love the bag so much 😭 glad we in the same boat tho heeh ❤️
I recently purchased the same bag but I noticed that the leather trim on the rim of the neverfull overlaps. Does yours overlap, too? Mine overlaps on both sides of the bag.
hi babe! yea i noticed that after a while too, mine overlaps as well. i think that’s normal, probably since it’s a treated leather and then can’t manipulate it much

Hi would they fix the straps if they are king of wear and tear cause mine is kind of cracked and tearing from the straps on the purse were we hold them . the part were it sewn on the purse not the triming the part that you want to get fixed but they told you that they were ok still cause mine look like it want to tear of .
I am purchasing my very first LV and I want this exact bag! I am so glad that you made this video. I have been very hesitant with this print due to cracking in the handles and trim. I'm glad that they have a one year warranty. My question is this: do you get an additional warranty on the repaired piece?

Can you get parts of an LV bag fixed if you don’t have the original receipt or you are not the original owner but it is an authentic bag and there have been no repairs on it ever? I purchased a pre-owned bag and want to have the zipper pull leather replaced but don’t have the original paperwork for it. Would I just have to pay for the service then or is it not even an option if I want to pay?

I just purchased a used Neverfull in the Damier Ebene. It has a lot of scratches and can see through the dye on the trim. Would there be anyway to re dye the leather myself until I decided to get a full repair?
Just FYI - If you alter anything in the bag (if you dye it) they wont repair or touch it. It will be not be considered authentic.

The repair was at no cost?
I got 2 bags repair. My Turenne PM and Palm Springs mini. They were older the one year by a couple months. My SA (that works in the repair department/ is a repair specialist herself) said they will repair bags free of charge over the year as long as the bag is in very good condition. My Turenne was 18 months only and my Palm spring mini was 20 months I had the same repair as your Palm Springs mini but on all 4. I didn’t have to pay for the repairs. Idk if it’s different for every store but that’s what she told me 😊 btw I’m from Southern California

heycarmen yeah you would think each store would have the same policy. I think you do from your vlogs I wear mine the same. I have my bags for work, school, and daily. I think the rotation helps them last longer. If you’re ever in Southern California and your bag has an issue I’ll give you my SA contact. She’s really nice! 😊💕
