i feel so honoured to watch you Freya and Beyla on your journey. i just remember when Freya was so little,🥺and Beyla has grown so much she was once just a little bean.
I feel so validated lol Your schedule for if you worked is exactly what I did. I luckily lived 5 minutes from my work so I always came home at noon for my pup until he was around 7 or 8 months old
This is so helpful because I’m about to get a puppy in two weeks! I am home 3 out of 5 days of the work week and I hope to kind of mix these schedules. Thank you!
🫶🏼🫶🏼 thank you so much!! Every one of Freya's pupdate videos is basically this schedule in action!! with timestamps and everything. Beyla's pupdate's will be similar once they're posted! 🫶🏼
Hey❤i discovered you Yesterday and i love your videos ❤i was si impressed by freyas behavour when just three Months old🎉im am expecting a puppy in three months so i am glad you made those videos so i can have a well behaved happy dog❤❤❤thank you so much
Sweet Freya girl 💛! Your schedules are really good. This will help so many people. Mine is /was a mix of this, especially when I was fostering, since I didn’t know what their new home schedules would look like.
Very helpful to see your schedule with the puppers, so thank you for that! Do you have any suggestions for picky pups though? I can't get my pup to care enough about her regular kibble to get her to engage in training with her food. She's definitely not food motivated.
This is so awesome, thank you so much for posting!!! I work from home, we’re bringing our pup home at the end of may!!! Had a dog before but never from 8 weeks. In your work from home schedule, do you/would you give enrichment during the ‘down time’? Just trying to figure out when would be best to fit that in! Thank you☺️💖
I work however I get off work about 3 to 330 on most days. I am trying to think of what to add 4 to 6 time period? I know I’m going to take him out for a potty break, but I’m not sure what I want to do. I don’t wanna put him back in his crate if he’s gonna go to bed at 8 o’clock.
Our 11 week old border aussie cant seem to get the hang of crate (or any sort of confinement she goes nuts) - we do training, positive association, leave it open all day for her to go in and out... but no matter what she howls like a siren when put in. Any tips? We're suffering from not having effective work time / personal space! We also cant seem to get her to sleep past 6 sharp - how did you get Freya to stay in bed till 7? Right now she's got us doing potty 12am, 3am, 5am, 6am wake up. I think she just wants out of the crate!!!! Any tips would be great!!!!
Thanks for sharing this, I’m impressed by your level of commitment but I can tell it’s definitely worth the effort! Would you say these schedules could work also for a young adult rescue that needs retraining? (Without the potty pet tho)
Sometimes I hear people say that they taught their dog to have a good "off switch" and I don't understand how to do this. How do you teach a dog to be calm and settle when you need them to leave you alone?
I would like to know how the heck you train for an hour. My puppy’s food is gone in like 15 minutes when we train, we don’t have enough food to train for that long! She only eats a cup a day and 1/3 of a cup doesn’t last very long.
It definitely depends on size and how much food. My dogs eat 2 1/2 cups a day (especially when their puppies) so I piece of kibble per trick, lasts a long time haha
So if you work while puppy is napping you work maybe 6 hours a day? Definitely a privileged situation. Most people do have to go to a job. Im nervous to give a king at lunch time because won’t that make them have to potty within the hour.
Oh most definitely. That’s why I prefaced that at the beginning of the video. However, I work more than 6 hours a day (that’s just the puppy nap times) I wake up at 5:30am to start work around 6AM, but puppy doesn’t get up until 8. So there’s my 8 hours. However if I need extra time, I work after she goes down too. Puppy hood is definitely hard lol.
It is 1 hour multiplied by how many months they are, so 8 weeks is 2 months so 2 hours. Obviously if they are sleeping and it’s been over the amount of time they can stay in their crate, they don’t need to be woken up.
^^ correct. the general rule of thumb is 1 hour for every month they are. But in general, a dog shouldn't be left in the crate for more than 6 hours or so (during the day) without a potty break.
I was hoping to see both Freya and Beyla. It is so nice to have a schedule, and stick with it. Someone else asked about how you fit Freya time in, and I would love to know the answer. And suggestion = Do you mind sharing the things they both know? I love finding new ideas of things to teach my pups (3 yo and 2.5 yo).
yall will see more of them together here soon!! 🫶🏼 so excited to share more dog vlogs!!! I will also share what the days look like with BOTH of them because with Beyla's pupdates I focus only on her, but the general dog vlogs will have both of them and their schedules together! 🫶🏼

🫶🏼🫶🏼 aww omg thank you so much. it's crazy that Freya is 2 already....I can't believe it lol
I feel so validated lol

Do you have a 1/2 hr lunch or full hour? I feel like my 10 week puppy won’t be able to eat, play, and potty in 30 min 🥲
@@WinnieK97 mine luckily was an hour long
I have a 10 week old golden retriever and I totally agree with that 8-9pm hour that puppy gets insane😂
it's their witching hour FOR SURE hahah

Getting a puppy in three weeks. I work from home but I start my day around 6:30a so that's the time I'll be starting me and the puppy's day.
literally perfect!! 🫶🏼

how do you fit Freya time into this schedule? If you don't mind me asking.

So the puppy sleep for 10 hrs at night or you take them out

Would the work schedule work for school?😅 Not that I can get a puppy at the moment😢
❤️

Do you live in an apartment? How do you take Beyla out to potty when she’s not fully vac yet?
I wish my puppy was food motivated. Especially in the crate she’d rather starve herself then willingly go in there. 😂
What a mood. Mine didnt get food motivated until he turned 1
hahahah oh no!!! I've definitely gotten lucky with 2 food motivated dogs!
I would like to know how the heck you train for an hour. My puppy’s food is gone in like 15 minutes when we train, we don’t have enough food to train for that long! She only eats a cup a day and 1/3 of a cup doesn’t last very long.

It would be cool to video an hour long training session in real time for a video!
This video is proof I should not get a puppy yet 😂
hahahh it's A LOT for sure
