I waited for the miami episode and i must say im hella let down smh i was born and raised here and for them to have only shown the hispanic side mainly "cuban" is a slap in the face. Dont get me wrong I love my cubans but miami is waaaaaay bigger than this culturally. Especially with the food. You got the African Americans with the soul food in Overtown and liberty city, My Zoes in Lil Haiti and North miami, My Dominicans and other hispanics in AP, My jamaicans in Miami Gardens with their fire food also! Its no hating but im just saying MIAMI NEEDS A PART 2 @Thrillist #BigFacts
That's exactly what I was saying like they're trying to make it sound like Miami is Cuban Central but there are a lot of Caribbean cultures besides Cuban.
Come back and I'll show you the best 🇭🇹🇭🇹 Haitian food in Miami starting with L'auberge which has an amazing Haitian fritter called Akra and their flavorful fried goat and super seasoned rice and beans. Macion in North Miami that has amazing groit and fluffy fried plantains. Also the best Haitian underground "empanada" from Chez Katu 🇭🇹
Ashleeeeeeeeeyy when you come back to Miami girl CALL ME! Miami needs at least 3-4 episodes on its on. I can show you a couple other sides because this felt like a pr/sponsor/quidproquo tour 😂😂. The food spots they choose looked great but hunny So much more awaits you and your taste buds Bahamian, Colombian,Jamaican, BBQ, Haitian i could go onnnn !
hey, my sister and i are coing this May and would love if you can tell us where we can go to for food and hang with the locals fetes and lounges ( no tourist traps)
SO HAPPY this series is back! I loved watching all the episodes last year, and happened to go to New Orleans last week! I went back and watch the video you guys put out and went back to a lot of those locations! Great series! Miss Mustache dude though. Although I did like how you guys used Ashley as a guest last year, and now shes hosting.
Totally understand and agree, Miami has a huge food scene. Since my background is Cuban/Spanish I wanted to share a little bit of that with the host and you all. I love Miami's cultural diversity and food scene which is why I show all of Miami's #queyummy things on my IG :) I do hope you laughed a little at me and the lemurs interaction lol
I’m a Miami native (non-cuban - Dominican/Nicaraguan) and while there are tons of beautiful cultures, Cuban culture dominates - they make up 49% of Miami’s population! I was pleased with this episode especially and to their credit they featured an asian-colombian-cuban fusion restaurant. Given the short amount of time, they did pretty well. Maybe they can do additional up episodes?
The show last for a few minutes it would be IMPOSSIBLE to entertain ALL THE CULTURES OF MIAMI....in one setting...most IMPORTANTLY...the TITLE says "w/ a Latin twist"no NEED TO BE SO STRESSED... it's a...video !!!!!
What about Los Olas I miss that so much. Idk if that straight miami or more touristy as I lived In Boca Raton but still! The food music and ambiance was amazing there!
It was nice seeing these stuff in my city. Ppl were saying that they were disapointed because they were only sticking to the Hispanic aspects but... Its florida versus the rest of the country. Like non Floridians will go for the latin stuff.
I feel that was a weak episode overall, because it was unbalanced toward hanging out with Cuban-Americans that are not the immigrant majority in Miami anymore...I agree with most of the comments down below that it fell short...Duck Chicharrones? Not Miamian at ALL!!!🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️
PD: Anthony Bourdain always did great food shows of Miami, focusing on the REAL Miami, not the superficial one...It’s not about Cubans anymore...I recommend to go back and watch some of his Parts Unknown episodes, and start all over again...
I live in Cincy, and we have Ethiopians here, West Africans, and lots of Indians. Guy Fieri comes here and he's all about the Greek chili on the spaghetti ,and maybe Goetta. They're only going to hit the high points. Just entertainment. Don't take it personally.

Appreciating the fact that its not just food but other things of interest to do in the area highlighting different aspects of tourism.
We've got it all covered!
@@thrillist for sure!
I like how she analyzes the food when she tastes it. "It reminds me of myself, a little bite, and a burst of flavor."
🤣💁🏽♀️✨🙏🏾
I hear the sound of New Orleans in Ashley's voice. That's the sexiest accent ever.
Im def from New Orleans! Thank you
Ashley is fireeeeee
Yes she sounds like Toya Lil Wayne baby mama.

Why people act like Miami demographic is only Hispanic🤷🏾♀️
This is my first time seeing a cigar rolled from start to finish. Amazing content guys
I love my Cuban culture. So many delicious food and history. 🇨🇺
@L M make me
@L M yup that what I thought you nothing going do shit.
This episode was cool but there is way more to Miami food culture than Cuban food. At the end of this episode I was left feeling disappointed.

Yanessa Escandell I did, I enjoyed that part a lot and I think you did a great job showcasing Cuban classics and new and innovative dishes.
Brittney Sharpe thanks Brittney! :)

PS BROOKLYN and HARLEM NEXT ITS A WHOLE VIBE
the lemur edits 😂
The brother fell in love when she made that cigar and through lunch.
This episode didn't do Miami any justice... so many different cultures and to only focus on the "Latin" cuisine,,, just sad. This episode was wack :-(

There’s so much more to Miami than the cultural food. There’s a lot of good food outside the cultural communities too
Hey little Havana love it Cuban sandwich super tasty.
I love her accent..is she from Louisiana?
Kinda sounds like a D.C accent too
Louisiana, she's a Chef at Essence Eats in New Orleans.
You could've said some part of Florida but DC.... NO WAY!!!

They could keep the Lenard.
Peace. I was disappointed that she didn't get any Jamaican food or Haitian food. Cubans aren't the only Islanders in Miami..fyi. Peace.
