Miso Butter Salmon

  • Lemon Scallion Miso Butter with Dill that's Delicious, Quick and goes well with almost any kind of fish!
    INGREDIENTS
    For the Fish:
    4 salmon filets
    1 tsp kosher salt
    2 tablespoons olive oil
    For the Miso Butter:
    2 tablespoons white miso paste
    1 teaspoon lemon zest
    2 teaspoons lemon juice
    1/8 teaspoon black pepper
    4 tablespoons room temperature unsalted butter
    2 tablespoons scallions or chives can be substituted
    Garnish:
    1 Tablespoon fresh dill
    Sprinkle of lemon zest
    Sprinkle of scallions
    INSTRUCTIONS
    Season fish with the kosher salt.
    Combine the miso paste, lemon zest, lemon juice and black pepper in a bowl and mix well. Blend in room temperature butter with a fork until incorporated and add scallions to the mixture.
    Preheat sauté pan on medium high and add olive oil. Sear salmon for approximately 2 min per side depending on the thickness of the fillet. Salmon should be around 140 F degrees for a finished interior temperature. Top salmon fillets with equal parts of the miso butter. Garnish with fresh dill and more lemon zest and scallions if desired.
