IF its oversteamed or overheated then the glove is pretty much done. The glove will be very hard and basically its not usable. Hopefully you didn't have it happen. More heat or more steam isn't better. Just enough to heat it up and then use a mallet on it. You don't want to cook it. :)

Yes if you do it wrong then yes it definitely can. IF your not sure how to do it or unsure about the directions then we recommend not trying it.
