If you use a blender pencil.. I use the Prisma but I think others like the Derwent would work.. it removes posca and gel pen without taking off the color under it. This has saved many pages for me when I did something I regretted.
Oh Shel you are amazing!! 😍💫❤️💫 I could really feel in this video how much love you have in your heart... Thank you for the time you took and thank you soooo much for the love with which you showed and explained everything here. And even though English is not my native language, but German, I was able to understand your tips very well and will use them all in the future. Lot of Love for you 🥰💞💞💞
Thank you for sharing your process. I tend to be much too heavy handed and shaky so it ends up a mess. I have to say that I love your color choices in your pictures.
I totally agree.....I have never tried using glitter glue (don't own any) but I definitely enjoy adding glitter with my gel pens at the end, and love going overboard with them too 😂💗
Usually just wiping them off after use is enough. Prevention is better than cure. Sometime I will run it under water for a few seconds then wipe. If you do this you will need to prime it before the next use. You can take the tip out and clean it, but be warned it's a very messy process, prepare for paint going all over.
I found a new white INK, not gel, fine tip pen at Jet Pens when I placed my last order.. I have high hopes. It was designed to cover unwanted marks on white paper (um.. hello Mythographics) but many users were using it for highlights. The reviews were either "this is the best pen ever" or " it clogs".. but many said you simply have to wipe it off before you put it away which is totally doable. Will report back. Update: it's called The Deleter.. and it's no different than a Posca PC1-MR except even less pigmented, and messier. Totally not ink, just watery acrylic. Another disappointment, save your money. You can clearly see lines though one layer, and two layers are a bit better but get clumpy with too much texture to color or ink over smoothly. It was also subpar for white strokework/highlights because of an inconsistent flow. You never knew if it was going to give you nothing, or a puddle. I didn't even keep it, went in the trash.
What extenders do you use for your Albrecht Durers? I've really struggled to find ones that fit. I prefer those without that sharp texture at the grip, but at this point I just need ones that fit. The Derwent silver one does, but they are expensive and you can't buy them separately, only in a set with the small one.
The Derwent silver extender is the one that has worked best for my ADs. There are some that I have bought on amazon however I have to unscrew them completely and put the pencil in from the back of the textured grip to be able to fit the pencil. So it is not ideal, but it works! These are the ones: amzn.eu/d/bRttURZ I haven't got any that fits the Derwent Inktense yet, do you have any suggestions? Thanks! 🤗💗
@@shelscolouringjourney The silver derwent will fit.. just barely. You have to take the entire ring off of it and gently squish the pencil into the gold threaded end. Otherwise no, not in personal experience. I did a quick search and Lyra sells one for their giant pencils that might work, google Lyra thick pencil extender or Lyra 162 pencil extender. The pencil extender market need to catch up with the size of modern pencils. This is one of the many reasons I hate the new trend toward presharpened and end capped professional pencils. You used to be able to simply glue a new one to the end of the old one and use every bit of it, no extenders needed. It was so much more convenient and frugal. It also kept them from breaking as much in shipping since the entire lead was covered by wood until you sharpened it, and you could see at a glance if you had a crooked core when choosing open stock.
