Awesome, you are the only place on the internet I could find any info on the back plug on that engine. wasn't sure why mine has two. thanks and great video. 🖒💛👍🚜
Thanks for the video. I found 1 for $50 but doesn’t run. The owner says he doesn’t have time to dig into it. Just checking into the basics of it before I buy it.
I know this is an older post but I bought one of these used, took the time to do the repairs, and use it every season now. Its so much better than the kinds that the tines is the only way they pull....the "self propel" feature really helps to not work & strain the operator. I have seen a lot of these this year for some reason and about all are happy with them.
@jmaedl027 jmaedl yup i am rebuilding one now. Not very fun but doable. Got 10hrs in breaking it down and scraping old solid grease out of it. I found that mineral spirits is best for cleaning up this hard grease. I just need a couple bearings and seals. I'm going to use gasket maker instead of buying one. I am thinking about taping a grease fitting on the top to ensure things don't solidify again.
@@TrevDog513 I just picked one up for $50. It’s stuck in gear but at least it’s stuck with the tiller on. But mine has a grease fitting already on it. My tiller is green. Idk if that makes a difference or not.
Sorry stuntcardriver - But I have a question. I need to fabricate a handle for my tiller and need to know how long from end to end is the shift lever handle??? I think I can figure out the rest - - where the holes go and so forth. Thanks for your time. Scott

It's the bead that's leaking. I have a similar issue with mine.
good for all
I have the same tiller. What size is the belt? Thank you
Not sure I sold it a while back.
@@stuntcardriver 51" x ½". For anyone who needs to know
@@Chris1969o thanks!
@@Chris1969o I have a similar one and 51” was too tight, 52” works great.
No fill plug for oil in your gearbox my man. Its all packed in grease. Dont worry about that until a chain breaks

If you by chance you remember, where did you find parts for the gear box? Mine has bad gear whine in reverse.
@TrevDog513 I put a grease fitting in mine and it really makes it easy to add grease.
@@rickykraus7450same tiller. They made them for quite a few years. Some of the newer ones have what looks like a brush guard on the front....lol.

If you still need the specs I can tell you what the specs of my shift lever is, just let me know. You probably already made one though.
The engine model 202 means it was made in feb. 02 if that helps
This self propelled tiller is a powerful tiller or do you have to push it a bit
No it pulls and you hold on for the ride.
@@stuntcardriver she really pull when I engine swap her. To 10hp diesel
@@stuntcardriveryep!
@pinseekergaming4760 would love to see that. I have an extra 8hp B&S engine that's electric start...u just gave me an idea because I love the tiller!
By chance you still have this tiller? I have the 917-293401 and need a pic of the hookup for the govenor spring and carb leakage.
I do not. Sorry.
I have the 917-297041 and the spring on my 850 series is under the fuel tank.
