Hi, Im Tibor the desighner of the saw. First of all Id like to thank Neil for the review, honestly I didnt think that its gonna be so positive. I wad very happy when I saw it. And thank you all guys for your encouraging words and comments. Im very greatfull for that.
Neil great review. Tibor amazing work! That is an absolute beauty of a saw. Ingenious to say the least. Makes my Micro Bucksaw look like a toy. lol. Hats off to you. Neil stay safe in the woods and keep bringing us great videos!
Definitely a unique & un copied version of the classic backsaw. I do hope the creator gets his due since it all now (the finished product) looks so simple. But he definitely took time and effort to put out a quality product. Will checkout his website. Greetings from Norway
Wow...I thought nothing could dissuade me from the Silky saw but damn that is absolutely genius! I hope he has a good patent lawyer or Amazon and Temu will have flooded the market soon.
Small folding saws are great for small projects. But if I have to cut enough wood to keep a fire going on a chilly night, or to build a large shelter, I want a 24" saw. Every time your arm switches between "push" and "pull," some time and energy is wasted. A longer blade lets you do the work in less time, with less fatigue or irritation of joints. Tibor's design is clever and very attractive; I may buy one just for that reason. But I think it's something of a "solution without a problem." If my saw will take a 24" blade, I'm going to use a 24". I don't see any advantage in being able to use a smaller blade, except perhaps if I need a new blade and my local hardware store is out of 24's. P.S. I love your ideas about making a "case" for the blade with magnetic material (or velcro, as seen in another of your videos). Brilliant, thanks!
It's all very well just buying a frame saw, but I would have thought anyone doing bushcraft should be capable of the creativity of making one. We all made them in my U3A Woodworking Group, all of us geriatrics and included a lady in her 80's!
@@cee8mee Thank you, btw the biggest benefit is in different teeths dimentions. longer blades tend to heve bigger teeths what is benefficial in bigger diameter logs and vice versa.

Bit draughty there Neil. I got a lovely bucksaw from Simon a bloke in the woods I won - I have a silky copy cheap but good.
The web page is there but not operational as yet
When is it available?
Maybe I missed it but what is the spread? I mean, smallest to largest measured.
Hi Im Tibor the saw desighner. answer ie 21 - 24 inches or 530 - 610 mm.
