As I know that you are a handyman, I want to share with you my experiences that are valid for any bike. All electric bikes with a rear motor work poorly. Always check that the front and rear wheels roll smoothly and that the bearing lasts a long time. If you see that it stops after two turns, you have to remove the wheel and loosen the axle as long as there is no play and also check that the pads do not rub when empty and without tightening the lever. If they rub, it is because the hydraulic brake is not properly set and you have to loosen the two screws that it has on the upper part to brake hard and then tighten them without releasing the lever so we can make sure that they are perfectly coupled. I also know the trick of making it legal and that it does not have a physical accelerator in the fist so that they do not report us. The trick is to remove it from the handlebar and put another one (the smallest one that exists) inside the controller or outside but in a hole (which there is) and fill it with hot silicone so that it doesn't move or get water. The trick is that you have an accelerator and the circuit sends a signal to the controller but in the zero position without activating it. So we no longer have a physical accelerator and you cannot practically accelerate by not carrying it. Your bike is 100 percent legal. Well, the SUPER ENGINEERS of Fiido or any other brand don't know how to override it and remove it from the handlebars, they say that if you unplug it by mistake and the bike doesn't start. Well, on Aliexpress there are miniature accelerators that are very small and are valid for my "invention" and fit in any hole. With how easy it would have been to program the controller so that the accelerator function is canceled. Notice that the fines are enormous and you are taking action against Road Safety in Spain if they catch you and see that you have an accelerator. There are already many electric bikes that are sold in Spain that do not carry it when they realize the failure. But with our magnificent Fiido, we risk the heavy penalty of two or three times the value of the bike. I see the delimiting of the bike as silly since you can give yourself a fatal blow or run over someone and you are looking for ruin. At 25 km/h also but less. In addition, with my invention it cannot be delimited.
Just ordering one as a backup bike runaround to store easily as the opinions seem positive and the price is very good. Still got my main larger mid drive kit Tongsheng for heavier usage. Be interesting to compare as I also have a 12kg hybrid non-ebike and I don't really like that so much but I think it needs a softer seat for a start. Might convert it also with a mid drive.
Thanks for this #Chigz I'm thinking of buying one of these and your great review has given me all the information I wanted, especially about the real-world achievable range with different levels of assist. It's helped me decide to get it :)
Hello, Listen can the front wheel be changed out for a wheel with another 250 watt motor and double the battery capacity? Any way, if you can send me your suggestion, I will be very grateful. Thank you, Joe
Nice looking machine, but in the UK in winter it would need mudguards, can they be bought separately... (even though they Really should be included)...
i don't get this about the pedal assist levels. what does the percentages stand for? if 75% is that it takes 75% of the load of your pedaling, it has unlimited power, since i could be super strong, yet it could still be 300% stronger. if it's that it uses 75% of it's own maximum power, why isn't it 100% at max level?
Mine broke the spokes in the rear wheel, triyng to buy online spokes for it. Does anybody know the measures for the spokes? Any help is welkomed thank you
Very evenly matched, better range on the D4S but the Z20 has slightly thicker wheels, so better when cycling off road, Both achieve similar speeds. It’s quite subjective as both bikes offer a similar experience.

Hey Chigz, very nice Review, thanks for that !! How heavy can the driver be (weight) and can you drive this in Germany, here you always have to insure everything? Unfortunately, the funniest vehicles from abroad are never allowed here :(
Got mine 3 days ago immediately did a 71km ride pedal assisted, finished with more than 25% remaining (1 bar left and another 1 blinking on and off when climbing hills).
I am wanting to buy a folding E bike but from what I have read UK Law say that to be legal in the all electric mode ie no pedal assist required the maximum speed in this mode is 6 km/hr but you are saying it will do 25km/hr meaning it needs to be registered with DVLA and insured can you say wether the bike conforms to uk law or not. Or have I read it wrong, thanks.
The law in the UK is the bicycle needs to be a max 250W motor and max speed of 15MPH which is 25KM/H. So this bike does not need insurance and you can use it on UK roads, same as any other bicycle. The pure electric mode is a hidden feature. Just use it as a pedal assist bike only and your good to go. Here is the UK gov website: www.gov.uk/electric-bike-rules
Forget UK law. Nobody CARES as long as you arent tearing up the streets at 30 plus MPH on an electric scrambler or moped. Then you are likely to draw attention. And eventually get stopped.. The beauty of the D4S is at first glance it looks like a normal bike. I've been riding mine for over a year. Without any hassle. But it can reach a top speed of around 22mph when unlocked. And give you a good 30 to 40 miles on a charge. It's the best ebike I've ever seen for the money. THE BEST.
Yes it is UK road legal, as long as you don't unlock the speed limit to 36KMPH. (then its classed as a moped) If you leave the speed on 25KMPH then your good to go, no insurance needed. Same UK rules as a regular bicycle.
I’ve bought this bike recently. I only tried it indoors. My question is when I start pedaling on level 1, after a while el. engine launches and accelerates the bike. However when I stop pedaling the engine keeps accelerating (without using a throttle). In order to quit engine support I have to press the break. Is that normal that after stopping paddling the engine keeps on going?
Excellent review mate! I've watched dozens of ebike videos and this one is the most useful. Ta very much. 👍
Got mine max speed, here in the US...26mph...I love it

Omg thanks for sharing that speed hack. I wonder if it's the same process across the whole fiido range

Great succinct review 👍🏼, pity the battery isn't removable for recharging, I can only charge indoors, and don't want to take the whole bike inside 😕
It's a folder shouldnt be a problem.
Very nice and to the point review. Really liked it. What are your thoughts about the fiido D11?
The D11 looks amazing, love that you can remove the battery attached to the seat and pretty good range.
Loved it, keep them coming!
Great video, I love your channel!
Spot on!
Great review and hack! Any idea where I can buy a battery on the cheap for this bike?
I have the D2s but after this review I think I'm going to buy the D4s. Would you prefer the D4s over the D2s??
Thanks for the review.
I’ve got the Gocycle 2 so I don’t think it’s better than mine but looks and sounds great. I have a top speed of 27 MPH and long lasting battery 🔋
Abit late but great review. I got one for my daughter last year and it's a savage. Well worth the money
Thanks for the review, we have one , amazing bikes…. Where did you film this vlog? The park loooks lovely ?
Hi there, could you please be so kind and measure the diameter and the lenght of the seatpost?
really like it, just a pitty the battery isn't removable ((
The battery is removable its just not the simple pull out option but it's still easy enough to do
I like your videos. Why you dont make a video of the Xiaomi Mi Watch?
I personally own a Volton-Stow that tirn heads unlike none other! Volton Bicelyces in Chicago. Love the bike seriously!
It looks really good with plenty of power for just using in electric mode which is something that I'd have to do. Great price too
Love it, could take some Strava segments on this...
Thank you for your reviews about the bike. It's really helpful. But is the bike still need a back light for a night ride? Or allready build up?
Yes you need to buy yourself , it only comes with a reflector
i have a question, if i use the moped mode, do i still need to shift gears? or i can leave it to gear 1?
Looks good, Chigz. 🙂
Easy to mobilize and run it.
I like the digital Thingy's, too.
Enjoy your terrific Electric Bike.
What's the range when you use throttle only at fully unlocked speed?
About 18 miles.

How does warranty compare with the Halfords one please?
That range is crazy!
If the battery gets damaged,is it replaceable? Can you remove the battery from the bike?
off course . you can find in aliexpress new one for 50 euros or less, this one uses the same battery that the D2 , D3 and D1 uses.
