I'm 49 and my first real experience with Floyd was when I was 16 and chillin with a friend smoking many blunts and one day e hands me two tapes, Wish you were here, Animals, so once I got home I got to my room Lao my bed , on went my headphones and man oh man did I drift off to another world. So for me Darkside, Wish you were here and animals , The WAll are Floyds ultimate.
The reason I subscribe is the fact like me two types of music like it and don't like it end of! I was born in 1960! 😫 I love Pink Floyd and my late Mom loved the Eagles! 😊 Great video! My Dad passed away when he was young but he listened to Pink floyd Black sabbath and the Early Stranglers before he passed! He loved music so I get it from him! Love the video today!
The Wall is the best, I agree. There has been increasingly negative comments about it in the last few years, probably because of Waters' political statements. But I don't care about all that. The album itself stands strong.
I appreciate that you don’t stick with one genre. This is why your channel is my favorite. You’re everywhere and I’m here for it. Plus, you talk about movies, and I’m definitely here for that! I had no idea this was released, so will have to pick it up soon. It’s nice you have your dad’s copy. That’s really sweet. I have a nice pressing of DSOTM, but it never hurts to have another. Meddle, The Piper at the Gates of Dawn, and DSOTM are my favorites. Per usual, another excellent post.

Happy RSD! You can never truly have too many TDSOTM copies. I tried not to overspend today, but there was a solid dance section that popped up out of nowhere, sooooo...yeah.
I’m a hardcore Pink Floyd fan. Actually my most collected group/artist and one of my fav albums of all time (together with Meddle and WYWH) That said, buying the BIG (and expensive) 50th anniversary box last year I was actually a bit annoyed when this version was announced.. It’s cool and all but how many times can they milk us loyal record buying fans..? And I have 4 other pressings of Dark Side already..Haha! On the other hand… if it sounds as good as you’re telling us, I think I have to reconsider 🤔 Damn! I guess I have to place an order after all.. 😅 Cool video. Oh! Nerd alert: the original (1st) UK pressing has a solid blue prism on the record label(s). Is that the one you have?
Hey Magnus! I just checked my UK issue, it does have a solid blue prism/triangle on a black background with silver-ish lettering. It also has a few posters and stickers with it. Does that sound like the original UK issue to you? My dad insists that it is.

Never heard a 1:st press but I’ve heard(!) great things about the sound quality. I’m really glad for you and your dad sure did the right thing picking it up back then :-)
I bought this release (making 6 copies I have now) I love Floyd and I am like your Father. I listen to ALOT of different types of music from country to rock to electronic, progressive, opera, classical, Mongolian Throat singing etc etc etc. It is my understanding this is a repress of the 2016 Reissue mastered by Bernie Grundman, James Guthrie, Joel Plante. This sounds good because the UV print is on the opposite side of the grooves. My copy will stay sealed as the copy I have from when I was a kid is still in fine shape. My Daughter says when you die I get your records and vintage Marantz stereo...my wife says I'm selling your shit 😂😂
My top 3 PF albums: 1. Meddle 2. Animals 3. The Final Cut (Yeah yeah yeah, everybody says this more a Roger Waters solo album and most hate it, but it has the PF name on it and that’s how I’ve always known it.)
Does this single sided double disc version sound better than the normal plain black 50th anniversary reissue from 2023? And the discs look nice and the heartbeat one is better when it's spinning ,and the prism looks odd when it's spinning
Day after RSD eBay is full of RSD items at sky-high prices it is a ripoff how do they come by so many of these items are record store owners making a fast buck.

Im a huge industrial fan but also love goth, prog, black metal, dance and disco. Its all good.Though Animals for me is the best Floyd album.

I actually wouldn't mind seeing more Floyd videos. The Wall is probably my favorite album from them and I especially love the film adaptation of it.

Ha, yeah, I've got friends who are angling to get my records when I die. I don't have kids, so that risk is taken off the table!

My dad was listening to Tangerine Dream - it was more-less acceptable behind the iron curtain (because no lyrics, play the fck whatever you want :)
