So from the trauma of a bad beginning when she plucked from being unhappy, this has become a habit she can't stop. At least she now has a good home for the rest of her life, up to about 40 50 years I guess for a Cockatoo life span. Well done guy's 💚

Poor little angel! I thought she was a baby. No living creature deserves to be so neglected . I'm sorry I didn't make myself clearer. Aww, beautiful little one. I'm grateful that she is in a safe and happy environment with people who really care about her. Thank you for being there for that adorable little bird 🐦
Thank you for doing what you do. Plucked parrots have a super special place in my heart; all seven of my birds are rescues, and three of them are heavy pluckers/mutilators.
Hopefully the longer she's actually happy she will stop all the plucking and picking. She's adorable. Could tell right away she's a rescue a bird. One that happy probably never would have started plucking.
I had a rescued African Grey. She had no feathers except her head. I could only get her to a certain level of feather growth. Once that behavior is ingrained it never fully goes away. You just have ebbs and flows.
@@griffithedancingcockatoo I hope Griffi can someday get a male Cockatoo friend that she can fall in love with and heal. I've heard that Cockatoos and other various parrot species have a tendency to let their feathers grow back to normal when in love.
Feather picking is difficult to diagnose, whether allergy or other but this bird has people who are angels and give her the best of care. Whatever the cause it does not slow this wonderful bird down. Keep dancing love.
isn’t feather picking just feather picking? i know there are underlying reasons for why they pick their feathers which finding out those reasons can be difficult, but feather picking is pretty much just they pick their feathers, right?
@@fjp9 If it did this in the wild, it would die. Not be able to regulate body temperature or fly. This is not normal for a bird to do this. I have seen it here on UA-cam with other rescue birds.
@@Aurora9990 sigh. i know that, and you’re missing my point. my point is that it isn’t that difficult to diagnose feather picking since feather picking is feather picking, and in most cases the feather picking is quite evident. now finding the reasons for feather picking could be more difficult as it can be due to mental or emotional issues/trauma and/or physical health concerns.
It's so incredibly sad too see what pet birds have to go through. Naked cockatoos has almost become a normal thing now... Thank you for caring for this beautiful girl, her voice is the cutest 🧡 please never let her be sad or stressed again.
Lack of attention or being around smoke not, losing her caretaker being yelled at there are many reasons for her to start plucking. I hope she finds her happy place.

Griffi is very blessed to have found YOU! I thinks sh'e adorable! I love her drumsticks! I fostered an african grey some years back. He was over 25 years old. He danced and sang with me. @@AnnaLVajda: Sorry to hear about your dog. It might be mostly nutritional deficiencies. She looked like she was shivering, poor thing.
@@deborahchristmas8752 I've been using tea tree oil for decades but damn it burns as hell 😂
@@kha0s616 yeah, that's why I mix it with the coconut oil and just a few drops of the tea tree. It's really potent stuff!
Poor baby!! Such a sweetie! Keep healing. Luv the dancing
May the Almighty Creator bless you and Griffy all the more for your great love and kindness.
So from the trauma of a bad beginning when she plucked from being unhappy, this has become a habit she can't stop.
At least she now has a good home for the rest of her life, up to about 40 50 years I guess for a Cockatoo life span.
Well done guy's 💚
She's beautiful just the way she is!!
...maybe she needs a bird partner..?..she is so cute and beautiful,...but sometimes alone?
This poor little angel should not have had to go through abuse from the previous owners. Thank GOD you were there to give her the love and attention she needs and maybe that is why she dances for joy!
Why do people have pets if they’re going to be so cruel?
@@dittohead7044 Sociopaths! What happened to her? ☹️ Is the any other info?
@dittohead7044 Ploverbrains who didn't know a too takes lots of maintenance and just wanted one as a trophy

@@roarred - Not much. I eat mostly fruits & veggies, as well as fish. You?

@@frankienorthtroptriton4771 good way of calling em out. Gatekeeping a love of animals just because you don't eat meat isn't cool, and besides, gatekeeping just places walls where we need windows
I was virtually giving Griffi little head pats through my cellphone screen during her close ups. God bless you all for taking care of her.
Awwww...what a nice thing to say ☺️😊😘
Shes a little jewel. Anyone who could abuse or neglect a little animal like this has to have the blackest soul in the universe
Aye that Ann, boil them in oil I say.
Not really the blackest soul, see what we do to eachother, and thats knowing we're sentient, feeling beings...
I take it you’re vegan then? Because if not you’re doing this and worse to animals at every meal and with every non-cruelty free product you buy.
Souls aren’t really “black”, but they can be empty. Black is really a nice color.
@@mmc1086 Stop acting like a dime store intellectual and go outside.
Poor little angel! I thought she was a baby. No living creature deserves to be so neglected .
I'm sorry I didn't make myself clearer.
THAT COMMENT WAS DIIRECTED AT WHOMEVER OWNED THIS ADORABLE BIRD PRIOR TO NOW (WHEN SHE FEELS LIKE DANCING). SOMEONE, BEFORE HER CURRENT HUMAN PARENTS, NEGLECTED THE LITTLE DANCER. RIGHT? WHOMEVER NEGLECTED HER SHOULD BE TREATED THE SAME WAY THEY TREATED A HELPLESS LITTLE BIRD!
They saved her. She is very happy trust me. Trust her owners. She is not being abused in any way. She just loves music and she loves to dance. No one is forcing her to do anything. Can’t you just chill and sit back and enjoy her dancing moves like the rest of us are doing PLEASE !!
What a little show girl. Her dance moves and personality prove she's happy and hopefully recovering from the ill treatment in her past. Go Griffi....🎵the stage is yours.🎶
@@okpunky I think Candy Kay was just talking about abusive home that she was rescued from, not about her current place that she is in and obviously loved
They do make litttle sweaters for birds, seen them on chickens so cute
I don't think the previous owner intentionally neglected her. Perhaps they were busy with work and birds kill themselves if they aren't happy. That's the way they are. It's sad to see but we don't know the whole story.
She is amazing... It breaks my heart to hear she has had a rough life... She brings so much joy to so many people... God bless you for taking her in. Thank you for always sharing these wonderful videos. She brings some good into this world which we all need.
I agree 😊
Poor baby. She’s happy now because she knows she’s loved and safe ❤️
Thank you for rescuing her, give her a home and bring us her banging dance moves - 🏅🏅🏅
BINGO ROBERT!
@@griffithedancingcockatoo I hope Griffi can someday get a male Cockatoo friend that she can fall in love with and heal. I've heard that Cockatoos and other various parrot species have a tendency to let their feathers grow back to normal when in love.
They do this to themselves?! Why would a bird pluck out its own feathers
@@ob7773 trauma
Feather picking is difficult to diagnose, whether allergy or other but this bird has people who are angels and give her the best of care. Whatever the cause it does not slow this wonderful bird down. Keep dancing love.
isn’t feather picking just feather picking? i know there are underlying reasons for why they pick their feathers which finding out those reasons can be difficult, but feather picking is pretty much just they pick their feathers, right?
@@fjp9
If it did this in the wild, it would die.
She is SO cute! Love how she bounces to the music! She's a real sweetie! I'm so grateful she has a home where her human parents understand her! 💗💖
I love how Griffi just sticks her wings out like no body’s business....and she proud to be wild!

Such a great channel. I'm so glad that I came across Griffi!!! She's so blessed to have you in her life, thank you for rescuing one of Gods beautiful creatures.
I'm an animal lover, and this was heart-breaking to see, I feel so much pain for her. I'm so glad she now has a loving home, and hopefully with time she will decrease her feather-plucking. Thank you for sharing!
I feel a twinge of sorrow for what he must have gone through, but then when I see him dancing, all sadness disappears.
It's easy to wallow in yesterday's disappointments. We can all learn from griff and dance yesterday's troubles away!!!
Thank GOD for people like you willing to take a bird like this into your home. So sweet, and so loving. You're my hero!
She’s a beauty. You can see in her eyes the pain she has endured; but, she lives on to dance another day. Griffi brings a lot of happiness to those that have found her Channel. God bless you for taking her in and loving her just as she is.
Is she on any meds to help with anxiety??? She is so adorable when she puts out her wings I just love it..
I wonder if meds would work with birds? Or be safe for them? 🤔
@@watcherwlc53 I am curious also🤔🤔
Such a beautiful and intelligent bird. We could all learn from her humbleness and her precious happy additude.
She is absolutely adorable! Thank you for taking her in and giving her a happy life after suffering so much trauma that she would over preen. Thank you, too, for letting us join in Griffi's fun!
I dont know what happened to this bird before, but she sure seems like a happy bird now! It amazes me how on beat she is with her dancing, no matter what music is playing.
Thanks for sharing her with us, Cheers from Canada : )
An absolute star...my heart is breaking that she went through such trauma..
Now that she is in a loving home (you guy are rad for that!), will she be able to grow her feathers back?
She's a happy soul. It's sad she was abused. She has a good life now. ❤️
Awe poor baby! She probably does that because of everything she’s been through! God bless for rescuing and taking care of her and giving her a better life!
Hi Griffi! I, too, had a traumatic life, and my body isn't ideally aesthically pleasing to today's standards of beauty either. But you do bring me hope! I just want to accept myself as I am so maybe others may see my inner beauty as well. Thank you 🥰

I have some kind of a phobia related to birds, but this little beauty caught my heart. I am scared of birds, but i can't stand seem them suffering. It breaks my heart anytime I hear about a traumatized animal. We humans can be real monsters.
True. She's a real jewel though.
Thank you for introducing her. I just subscribed yesterday. It just tickles me that she dances. So cute. Keep on bustin' those moves girl.
She's so beautiful and the person taking care of her is even more beautiful God bless you

Bless these people for rescuing Griffi, she is so sweet
Griffi is very blessed to have found YOU!
I thinks sh'e adorable! I love her drumsticks!
I fostered an african grey some years back. He was over 25 years old. He danced and sang with me.
We bonded too well I think, because when he was finally taken home, he seemed like he was sad to go.
I was pretty darn depressed after he was gone.
The folks who own him won't get a hold of me to tell me how he's doing.
It makes me very sad.
So being able to watch Griffi makes me happy.
Thank you again for sharing her with us!!
EDIT: I HAVE SUBSCRIBED! I don't want to miss out! 😊👍
Blessings to you for giving Griffi love and good life! She is the most amazing dancing bird I have ever seen!!
Had a friend who’s bird had the same issue due to stress. They made a sock to put over their bird and it’s feathers grew back ...
Yeah I was just trying to think of what they could do. I had a dog that got hot spots on his skin in the spring due to allergies hives or something and I had to put one of those plastic cones on his head when I went to work or he would gnaw at himself and I would have to get the spot shaved and give him antibiotics if it got bad and other than that he was pretty happy and healthy.
Marlene Mc'Cohen also does this with her cockatoo Jersey
@@AnnaLVajda: Sorry to hear about your dog. It might be mostly nutritional deficiencies. Try as high a quality of dog food as you can afford and add dynovite or a freeze dried beef organ mix to the food. It did wonders for our boy, Trace, who had the same problems. He’s been good for years now, since we changed his diet.
