Looks like you have picked out some great resources for your kiddos. I also love DK resources. I love how you use a variety of resources to teach math, I feel like that’s a subject that’s always seen as boring or challenging, but it’s because it’s so much of the time presented as only a “workbook” subject, but there are literally so many ways to learn math that are not boring. I believe the Life of Fred series has a few more books that are part of the elementary series, but you have plenty to use for now. I’m also planning to use it as a supplement. Hope you have a great year.
Hope yall have a great year too! Yes, while I was at that Homeschool store that I mentioned, they have it all the way up to calculus. I was just absolutely fascinated by the way the layout is especially with the upper level of maths. I cannot wait to dig into those.
Wow a new video!!! Can't believe it!!! I loved to watch your day in a life and routines. Homeschooling stuff as well. You inspired me to start teaching English as a second language to my kid when she was 2. Now she's 5 and doing good with her bilingualism. Thank you
“I’m sorry for how long this video is” :me upset that it’s over already: 🤣😭 As always thanks so much for taking the time to share this! I’m definitely buying the 50 mindful moments in nature and the activity set with it! Sounds super fun!
I love seeing new videos from you! This is exactly what I needed! Starting kindergarten for my 5 year old this year and I was lost with curriculum. Our style is similar to yours, so this is super duper helpful!!! Excited for more homeschool content!!! 💕
@@JenRiveraBell Yes girl! Like you, we’re always trying to add those Spanish titles when we can . It’s twice as much as the English version (Why 😫) but worth it.
I would love to know what made you switch from Singapore to math with confidence or do you use both? I have both for my child but only using Singapore at the moment! I love your videos! Also fellow Louisiana mom here (Lafayette)!
We should totally hang! We are in the Opelousas area! And we have been using both this entire time and have really enjoyed the process but right now I think that I’m going to switch it up with Luna and try to just work with math with confidence because I also know that she kind of works a little quick with it and so maybe after we’re done with math with confidence will probably still end up testing out Singapore, math for second grade as well.
What great resources. We love explode the code. I’m always so curious about math with confidence. Looking forward to hearing how that goes. Just subscribed. I also have a channel and would love to be friends and connect!
My kids are doing first grade work .. I want to teach history and I found a curriculum but I’m very concerned about white washed history which comes with most of these curriculums .. I added the book you mentioned and I was wondering if you had a video or a source for read alouds that tell accurate history .. if you’ve done a previous video about it I’ll check your page .. thanks ! You really inspired me .. last year was a very hard year since I had twins and school wasn’t fun at all my kids continued to learn but I didn’t have the strength to place wonder and joy in it .. I was just focused on reading writing and math and fearful they would fall behind .. which made them groan whenever I said let’s do school 😢 .. this year I’m going to change it up completely ! Thanks for your ending comment about the point of homeschool ❤
I get so hype every time I see a new video of yours on my feed and especially when it's home school content!
Aww thank you!
