sterling ferguson meehh it wasn’t as big as you may think, most early Nike were exclusive to athletes in the mid 70s and late 70s and the Air Force didn’t become available to everyone until the mid 80s late 80s and was actually saved by two guys in the state of Baltimore because Nike was gonna stop making the shoe,
He just explained why I always tell my followers and subscribers they need to drop these shoes. If you aren't in hip hop as a career this makes no sense.
Awesome, can you explain the history of the slave labor they employ and the deplorable working conditions they force their "workers" to endure? You talk about race in hip hop but endorse a product that oppresses the people who make them? I like you as a rapper as I am a lifelong New Yorker but this seems a bit disingenuous since your own people were once enslaved to make products for rich people as well. Just being honest.
Yeah unfortunately there's not much the general public can do. Making a song really won't do anything because we're dealing with massive corporations like Nike, Adidas etc who can hire lawyers and they basically have a monopoly over the whole system. But yeah, we could protest and get new laws made.
I've been to a few Nike manufacturing factories in China and people in the US have this misconception of what the factories look like. Even though they make wages that to us is not acceptable, the working conditions were safe and clean and they are treated better by nike than what I observed in some other companies factories. Until every company uses a local workforce, it will always be outsourced to a country where the workforce gets paid less. Its the only way you are able to afford the clothes you already consider expensive, and the only way they are able to stay competitive with the many other companies that outsource cheaper labour.
Shaun Bridges C even though I know your just looking for a reaction the last time I checked there are many many white men with large sneaker collections you can find a lot of them reviewing shoes right here on UA-cam if you do a quick search. Second there are many many women as well white and black who have large actual shoe and heel collections so your attempt at sarcastic humor was not only unintelligent it was not factual
Because so many couldn’t afford them in the mid 1800’s and because slaveholders didn’t want Blacks being able to run far, so no free shoes either. Unless you were a house servant.
wait... you're telling me a black rapper or athlete collects Nike shoes? Next i'm gonna hear he's got an Escalade with spinners and a four-finger ring with "WOKE" on it or somethin' cray cray!
You're explaining the history of Air Force 1's - why not the history of buying stocks, real estate portfolios, etc...give us something we can really use. This is sad.

Kerry Bellio but that’s not the point of the video, they asked him about Air Force 1s, if he wants to wear then he can wear them
I’m sure you have bought products produced the same way. Don’t play the holier-than-thou game.
Who carez!
