Yes, everything gives you more space, a wider sound stage, tighter bass. darker background, We'll and up with a sound as wide as the Universe before we're done.

I put my cd transport on snail shells, it helped to slow down the transients. They were too fast before. A night and day difference. Try it !

Very interesting exeperiment, never tried any of these pucks/spacers but one day I must get around to doing so

I can imagine it has a greater effect in the cd player because that has actual moving parts than can cause vibration. The turntable is probably well dampened already. For an amp it might mean a slight reduction in micro-phonics.

The Rubber Material is most likely EPDM. I have done lots of DIY isolation / dampening with it with great results.

Do the test blind, the outcome will be different. Wider soundstage !

Try jelly get a pack of jelly 3 cubes per foot works great on turntables and small speakers but use six on the speakers two in the middle. But with any isolation You need to drain the transformer or motor really to get the best benefit into a separate energy dispersion chamber like a small tray of sand damp with cooking oil. Give the jellies ago you'll be surprised oh you'll need to paint the jelly with PVA glue Cos they do have a tendency to dry out quickly label the jelly so nobody eats it just in case lol

@@marcusbridges1851 well the marshmallows I've ever come across are quite soft tho jelly can hold quite a lot of weight you can melt it and make it into a bigger foot.

I like your videos, but unless you do this blind in doesn't really mean anything.
I work in the motor trade and If we open someone’s bonnet and top the water bottle up they think their cars run better.
Another thing, what if you play your music loud. Like when the walls are shaking?

You sound like a typical 'dodgy' mechanic..... you don't need blind tests to hear a difference. 🙄

@@steven2809 This statement proves my point. You don't know me, you have never met me. There is nothing whatsoever in the post I made that can be construed has being dodgy.
      Yet you form an opinion.
I'm not sure what a dodgy mechanic sounds like. Do doubt he will sound much better Sat on an isolation platform though.

I agree, it's total nonsense. Cable lifters next ! When people do these videos they lose all credibility.
