We all have that one friend that has a hard time connecting the dots. Thanks for the Laughs Bo! PS, that ice skating looks a LOT like skiing with a little less sliding.
Tip Bobo: MOuntain biking is a bit the opposite of skiing. Mountain bike, you put weight on your heels. Skiing, you want your on the front of your boot. The more you lean forward (not at your hips, at your ankles), the more control you get. Pizza, french fries, what matters is weight on the left foot turns you to the right, weight on the right foot turns you left. Almost like riding a hoverboard. In fact riding a hoverboard is the closest thing to skiing on dry land. Keep at it!!! Come to Oregon. You can ski and mountain bike on the same day at Timberline in the summer.
something ive wanted to do since about 2001 is snowboard thanks to SSX on PS2 :D ..and here i am fixing to be 50 this year and still havent lived out my dream..lol..Hey you did pretty good man. AND pretty brave for taking on some larger hills. You do that a couple times a week for a month and you'll be ripping the slopes up dude..
Bro, this is bringing me back when I was first starting to ski, I decided to go on a blue not knowing that the full run was ice, I was basically ice skating, lol
Lol, we actually had quite a few of those, I just omitted them from the episode for concerned that most people who don’t know what the game and are is wouldn’t understand, And would think that we’re just being jerks to each other LOL
I would have said that snowboarding is easier. Cuz, that’s the way I did it. I tried to get good at skiing for 15 years. I gave snowboarding a go and got on the blue runs on the first time out. Might have helped that I skateboarded as a kid.
Last clip did ya realize ice is harder then snow. I played ice hockey since 10. So skating is easy. I tried snow boarding. Yup I’ll tumble for ya. Was correct. Ski now was better. The movement from skating to ski N. Was easier to transition to
You did better than most for your first time for sure. Definitely need to be relaxed skiing. But even your falling was on point. Falling on a snowboard is so much worse on your body when you're learning. Learn to get on those edges a bit more and carve a bit wider and you'll be a natural in no time!
LOL As a ski patroller...at Sugar Mtn, this was a funny one to watch. I was looking to see if my 5 year old buzzed past ya! Next time, here's a pro tip...take a lesson LOL. Seriously. If not, keep your weight forward, shins on the front of your boots, the front of the skis are what turns you (like a modern geometry trail bike). When in your 'pizza' camber your skis inward, it will give you more control. Keep your hands out in front like you're trying to catch an under thrown beer...that will help keep your shins on the front of your boots... Most of your falls were from your weight being waaaaaaaaay on the back, or your skis like you're about to huck an 8 ft. drop on a 90s rigid mtb...but its natural to be scared your first time. haha Fun times, hate you threw your back out. That suuuuucks!
Yes exactly you should be looking up and putting weight on your outside ski when you are turning. But you did say that your feet were throbbing. And you were frequently falling down. To fix this you should put your weight fowards. It gives you more stability and keeps your feet not hurting. So instead of standing on your heels while skiing try to put more of your weight on the balls of your feet
At this stage all you really got to worry about is other riders crashing into you, so I would definitely recomend a helmet for that, and drifting off into the trees. No hard slams really until you get past the pizza stage, or if you decide to bomb hills before learning to turn with the skis parallel.
I do NOT get why my legs BURN like crazy skiing! As a cyclist and soccer player, I've ALWAYS had the legs for skiing. No it's true I have wide feet and skied on rentals most of my life, so that may explain some of the problems. But then I got a custom boot fitting to reduce foot pain & increase comfort & control. Then some quality (but used) skis. And my technique has improved over the years (I ACTUALLY pole plant now, to my wife's amazement!). But damn, those thighs BURN, bro! WTF???? Don't get it. It's still fun, but it is NOT my first choice of activity. Mountain biking all day long! PS LOVE ice skating. Actually took an ice dancing class with the wife and had a blast. Would love to lots more...
So what should I try next? Sky diving?!? Okay!
Ya that would be awesome
Cliff jumping I double dog dare you @BOBO
What scares u the most? Lol do that! ;)

Yeah, me neither. Ski bike!!!
I can ski but would totally be on a ski bike these days. They look like so much fun and you can just step off it and walk around.
Absolutely had me crying in tears...absolutely hilarious 😂, great video
“What do you mean why am I going over you....” 😂😂
This makes me feel better about the bambi learning to walk dance I did my first time at Sugar mtn getting off the top lift.
When at Sugar, always just go straight to the top. You made the right call, Bobo!
So you can ice skate but not ski? I’m the opposite, I love the shot of Bobo falling on his hip and turning it into a face plant
Love the change up of shenanigans! Keep it up brooooooo!!!
Bobo- a man of many talents.
🤘
Bobo: I'm definitely not mt biking today.
Me (nervous sweating): Riding Farlow Gap in the snow that weekend.

Skiing is much easier to learn but snowboarding is more fun!! Nice video
Skiing is similar to mtb, so keep your head up, eyes down the trail and beer 🍺 the f'up when necessary!
Lol 🍻
Liking the new video, keep it up, you should snow bike next
Loving all the content.....

Love Sugar Mountain. I got a video of Whoopdepoo Wednesday
Just fyi. Concentrate on the turns. Big turns equals going slower down the hills. Smaller turns equals fast down the slope.

I like the Bernie clip

Snowboarding is the best
Great video, good for you BOBO! Looking forward to summer? 🤣

I was just about to say weight the outside leg! Also lift the inside ski a little! You got it BoBo!

Bro-Bo, come on man, get that board shreddy!
Lol, oh man... I tried that for many years. I am especially bad at anything on a board

This was definitely the funniest shit that I have seen today. 😂😂👍🏻
You need one of those flags that people use when they go down water skiing. Have the wife raise the flag every time you crash. 😂

Wow 1 day on skis and you're a way better skier than mountain bike! 🤣😂😜
😂
I mountain bike and ski, this crap is hilarious seeing him ski but he ain’t bad at mtb but he might need a layer for all the casing he’s doing
yes you finaly strted skiing
BASE jumping
Don’t use poles when getting off the lift. Just stand up with free hand on edge of seat. Lift will push you forward and gravity will do the rest.
YEW!
I learned to ski in the 6th grade on ski bus. I rated my progress by how many times I fell in a night.
