having not played drums for nearly 20 years, i am playing this coming sunday for worship. this is a song we are playing... and man, i have a LOOOOOOONG way to go to get even close to playing that good. I will be happy if i play half as many notes as this song is played with by the drummer.
I just want to say... please please please don’t stop making these. This drum intro I was struggling with 😂 bad lol but this video helped me too the T!! So.. thank you guys 👍🏻
Tyler Carino I guess it depends who is on drums , I’ve seen a video where luke Anderson’s triggers misfire and a few videos where Vincent Baynard talks about the triggers they use to keep the “elevation worship” sound consistent . So what you are saying is something new I just learned
@@LuisNunez777 I'm not sure about Luke's stuff, but I know that at Ballantyne, we don't use samples. Vincent was speaking in regards to the tuning, and the gates being used for consistency in keeping bleed out!
I’ve practiced this. It’s tough for me. I can however use a floor Tom on the left and keep time with my right much easier but I’m working on the left because I want to.
They play Zildjians: 16" K Light Hats 20" K Dark Thin Crash (Left) 22" K Constantinople Medium Thin Low Ride 20" K Custom Dark Crash (Right) Dom personally plays Istanbul Agop stuff and will bring them occasionally. However, you can tell by the hammering that the ride is a K Con and the right crash is a K Custom. Elevation did use Heartbeat at one point and there is a video of Vince playing with a couple Heartbeats. This video is all Zidjians though. This cymbal set up is the same set up used to record Graves into Gardens and Hallelujah Here Below albums as well.

I love Dom’s dances in many of the songs he plays

That left hand was cooking!
THE GOAT!!! Dom kills this
Haha no goat by any means but thanks 👊🏾👊🏾
Shout out to that bassist... that groove doh.
Left hand is saucy and the drums are EQd perfectly. Probably helps that DWs really sing
it also mixed with triggers/samples
@@LuisNunez777 nope. No samples used! Triggers are just used for gates.

anyone know how to get stick marks off your cymbals, do they just like wipe off? I know small ones wipe off but do bigger ones wipe off?
What kind of drum mics are y’all using
What trigger/samples are on the snare?
just noise gates
Perfect eq, did you use triggers too?
Triggers are used as side chained gates

What"s the snare size???
It’s a 14x6.5 Ludwig black beauty
Niceeee . That ending should’ve kept it going :(
what cymbals are these?
meinl byzance dark ride 22 inch (left crash) heartbeat classic 24 inch ride, instabul tradition 22inch ride. (right crash)

What are the triggers for ?
I believe if I’m not mistakes they’ve said that the Roland triggers are actually used as gates not as samplers or anything
Our church uses those triggers for gates. You can set the sensitivity so it picks up the Ghosties just perfectly.
@@zacharytrojanowski1287 interesting... thanks for the insight , mate
@@jairpercussion7214 gate? I guess then it's a clear drum mix or something ?
♥️♥️♥️🙌
I like Dom but i think I like Vincent more!
