I absolutely loved that they showed the "HMS Bounty Bird of Prey" (from "STAR TREK IV: THE VOYAGE HOME") in the Episode. I wonder how many fans thought that they would actually get to see that ship just one more time.
You know what broke me? Hearing that familiar Jerry Goldsmith “A Busy Man” leitmotif (originating from ST5) that ended up becoming Picard and Data’s theme, especially in First Contact and Nemesis. Hearing that leitmotif when he was reactivated and his first words were “Geordi? Captain?” That was emotional.
Great Episode! I think my top 2 favorite parts of it were when Riker, Worf, and Raffi were exploring Daystrom and walking past the Genesis II Device, James T. Kirk's body, and the Tribble and when Seven of Nine and Jack Crusher were looking at the USS Defiant, USS Enterprise-A, USS Voyager, and the HMS Bounty Bird of Prey.
I had to watch this twice because there was so much to see, from the Genesis Device, to the A, the Voyager, Kirk’s body there was so much to comprehend. But to see all those ships brought tears to my eyes. Especially seeing the HMS Bounty for the first time in my life (I was two when ST:TVH came out). Oh man, I loved having to explain my wife every one of those ships even those the ones not mentioned
I must admit, I love Captain Liam Shaw! I did since the moment he said "no" at the dinner scene in the beginning. And doing the Fan-Boy-thing over Geordi, blood and ashes, that was amazing :D
I linked that in the Discord. Them spending Thanksgiving together is just the sweetest thing ever. And having Levar as her phone wallpaper. I didn’t think I could love them any more than I already did.
I think Picard and Jack's disability is actually a blessing. Why did Q reach out to Picard. An overactive brain? Sounds like evolution to me. I think Picard's brain issue maybe the next iteration of humanity. Which is why Q was so interested in him. Perhaps it's a special ability add in Wesley and being a god traveler that's quite the genetic profile 🧬
@@matrix-teknologies Were you a huge fan of The Death of Superman/Reign of The Supermen... I just had a thought... The changelings give the body to the borg and Locutus is reborn.
Maybe, but then why didn't they just grab Picard himself? I feel like it has to be something specific to his corpse, which is either the part of the brain causing that syndrome OR leftover Borg implants. Now, why they need Jack as well...who knows
Breaking up Raffi and Seven was absolute bullshit. The last we saw of them, they were a solid couple. Matalas is kowtowing to the phobes. He has switched from calling for a Captain Seven show, to keeping her as a second under Shaw.
@@nel1962 When they're talking in their alien language the subtitles refer to it as "changeling language", I thought they might be Jem'Hadar or something like that at first too but I think they're just the show's cheap way of having a group of changelings without having to spend money on makeup/effects or actors you have to pay to speak actual lines instead of just having a bunch of guys stand around in Halloween costumes.
Rather they keep Raffie and 7 far away from each other. Never felt they had chemistry. Loving this season and hoping we get more of the Titan and it’s crew
Jordi's daughter that came on the ship with him is LaVar Burton's actual daughter.
Both of them are

Dude when the Voyager theme started playing I got so misty eyed!
lmao I love you being like "smooch! SMOOCH! WHAT DID THEY ACTUALLY BREAK UP?" 🤣

There is more to it then Irumodic syndrome for sure. The glowing red eyes are not a side effect of the brain disease.

Make sure you check out the Ready Room episode after this that featured LeVar and Mica Burton and Ashlei Sharpe Chestnut, it was really beautiful.

Ro was my favorite Trek character after Spock...
On the display at Daystrom Station showing the human x-ray, if you look close it says it's James Kirk's body.
May be the changelings are doing something with Picard's DNA and that's why it's effecting Jack in this way.

"No changeling has ever harmed another," but that one guy showed some concern their plan wasn't going so well so fuck it vaporize him I guess.
Are we sure that Vadik’s crew are changelings though? They don’t seem like it. More like a servant race like the Jem h’dar.

Imagine being shocked at learning that a lesbian couple had broken up😮
