Everyone also has to consider we are probably not getting the full story from her side. She’s telling us what she wants us to know. HR doesn’t just call someone due to the comments in the emails she showed us. What didn’t she show us? What didn’t she tell us?

We don’t always get what we want in life, and judging by her videos and her claim of spending over $200k at Hermes, she gets a lot more than 99.9999999% of us.
Oh no, she just about admitted that she’s not in love with Hermès as much as she’s in love with Birkins and Kellys. She said she bought random items to build up her profile. She also said that once she got that next dream bag she would probably still shop at Hermès to buy silks because she really loves their silks. I am sure she is not alone since Hermès created a culture that makes bag chasers do this. She took the “lux” out of luxury by stalking her sales associate and begging for a bag. And her nasty behavior is not mimicking, it is her true self. Anyone who can act like that and not feel remorse, is as bad as she appears. Entitled!

Indeed she clearly mentioned under her videos that this whole drama is ONLY about the money BUT then said YT is just a hobby. She is so rude, defensive, condescending, ironical to people commenting or giving their opinion in a constructive way! BUT she started to delete her own rude replies because people mentioned her bad behaviour. This last video was impossible to watch (even worst than the first one) I do not think she is in love with the brand because she never kept a single thing for more than a year except 2-3 pieces but she used to unbox new stuff from Hermes every month so NO she is not in love with Hermes. This is exactly what I commented on her “response” video… instead of her making the “response” video, she should just let the issue die a natural death coz now luxury UA-camrs will react to her “response” video and the “saga” continues 😂 I personally find her demeanour in the video coming off as defensive and arrogant. I don’t believe Hermès only wants millionaires for their clients. They also cater to the middle or upper-middle class. These are the people who work hard and save for a B and K. Mel might be in these categories. However, big difference is she doesn’t show class and good breeding.

She was her own worst enemy in the whole issue all those crazy emails. She came off as a total entitled Karen. It’s pretty common knowledge that Hermès picks and chooses who they want to carry certain bags it’s just the way it is and the fact that she was being so relentless about it was what kept her from getting any of the bags she wanted and dropped as a client.

I can barely get through her videos but from what I have seen from them she is very narcissistic. She drips entitlement, lacks self awareness, thinks she’s nice but is super aggressive, and has no insight into this ridiculous behavior. No wonder they don’t want to deal with her. Her behavior in the store, her emails, and even her comment section is outrageous and frankly disturbing. Just saw her leave a comment to someone implying that they were a “c*nt”. Saying people want to expose where she lives is what all these people do to claim victimhood and deflect from accountability. Next she’ll be claiming she’s getting d- threats. Customers often forget that they can ask the most inappropriate questions and an employee can only answer professionally. The SA couldn’t tell her that Hermès has sold her so many quota bags only for her to turn around and sell it on eBay. Her pushy personality doesn’t help either. How is it appropriate for her to come to her SA and confront her about her other clients and the bags that she has sold them. Super inappropriate.
As Mel was talking about how Hermès staff would receive training on how to deal with customers requesting quota bags (basically implying that a poor SA should have to take her poor behavior because they have been trained in how to deal with it.) I thought it was ironic that she couldn’t see that this very sales training on how to react professionally is what her SA would have been displaying in the face of her poor behavior
Even if the "duping" and selling of packaging wasn't the reason, I think it's still reasonable for the store to not want to sell her their most prized products since she very publicly sold her first one. Imagine making a precious, one-of-a-kind piece of art and gifting it to someone, and that someone goes and re-gifts it the next day. Even if that is that person's right to re-gift, would you be willing to painstakingly make another one-of-a-kind gift for that person? I definitely would not.

You could argue that they are “gifting” you the opportunity to purchase one, which, due to their marketing and our response, is considered to be a valuable and precious opportunity. Not everyone gets an offer to buy and as I mentioned, if Hermès is choosing who to give this opportunity to, they will likely choose people they feel are going to appreciate it. Edit: grammar

Also, the artisans that make these particular bags are known to be decently compensated and are required to formal schooling prior to apprenticing at Hermes for a number of years before they can start making these bags. You could argue they're not fairly compensated considering the insane markup, but definitely not sweatshop.

I do understand her point a bit. She apparently is not blacklisted according to Hermes. She wanted to play the Hermes game and when she saw others getting bags and her not being offered any for a looong time- she broke down. As a loyal customer, either tell me I will never get the bag and let me go, or give me a bag whenever possible. The Hermes “game” is not for everyone. And my advice to her would be never let any luxury brand affect the way you feel about yourself. At the end of the day, it is still just a bag.

And yes she disappeared from social media. Maybe its her? Hermês in Lisbon are known for discriminating clients (because they are chinese or other countries they don’t like) and asking people to leave the public side walk where they’re store is (which is illegal lol); stating they don’t want cheaply dressed people in front of their store. I have a real question : I agree that what she’s doing is bad, and you should not buy bags just to resell them like she does, but how is she any different to the many resellers on instagram who are taking pre-orders and find rare bags for you for a fee ? Are those instagram resellers different than her ? (If not, should we also stop using their services ?)
Valid point, but the difference is that these accounts are fully transparent about being resellers; they don't make videos crying about how Hermes blacklisted them. If Hermes discovers that they are resellers and blacklists them, that's part of the game. Honestly I don't think she's a professional Hermes reseller, i.e., getting orders from people and then asking for bags from the store. I think she's obsessed with getting the next bag and the moment she gets it she gets bored and sells it, and then goes for the next bag. While it's not illegal, you can see why Hermes (the SA or the manager) are not going to go out of their way to get her another quota bag for her to turn around and sell it in a month.

Where I was confused was how she said that the reason why she sells things is because she's allergic to dust and needs to declutter all the time. Hmm, just flat out say "Hey, these items (dustbags, packaging) are useless to me and they take up space, there is a demand for these items so I make some pocket change on the side." Like just admit it. Overall, this is a situation I would never wish upon anyone. I haven't followed her channel until now, but I can tell she really loves Hermes (just like how you and I love Chanel). I can understand how insulted she must have felt.

I always get my fresh produce either Fridays or Saturdays so its always fun to see which tiny creatures might appear from the fruits or vegetables. I am not particularly scared of insects. I try to get organic produce so if the fruits and veggies are not sprayed with chemicals, tiny creatures are to be expected... I just don’t want them to buzz around the spot lights during the livestream 😂😂😂 These bugs are spot light crazy! 😂♥️🌈

I can confirm that NO ONE threatened to expose about where she lives on TPF. I was on that thread and they shut it down ultimately. Mainly, it was just people (including myself) calling her out on her behavior. She doesn’t like when people call her out. She only likes it when people “support” her. I don’t know about UA-cam comments but I don’t remember anyone was exposing where she lives.

I believe in her video she explained that she saw a post and, as you do, clicked on the tagged account, unaware of who he was, only then to find out it was the store manager at her local Hermes, who had already stalked her on Instagram, before she even knew him and blocked her.
It honestly disturbed me reading some of the comments, she continuously kept calling some of her commenters as “C U Next Tuesdays” and kept replying to everyone with a link of “STFU”
I'm also sure that Hermes did not enjoy being undercut by her selling all of their gifted items and duster bags which she sold right along next to cheap China knock offs.... Allegedly.
I think I understand what the problem is. Mel made several mistakes. First, in multiple videos she talks about what she spent with each SA and says that the she spent was a waste with the SA's that left (that literally implies that she spent what she spent to get a dream bag). It is so tacky to talk about how much money you spend... we all know that a dream Hermes bag is thousands of dollars... and the sandals and twillys and scarves are hundreds of dollars... no need to go into specific detail. Secondly, as you mentioned in a previous video Dacob, she was way too intimate with the SA and constantly was changing her wish list (that implies that those bags aren't her dream bag). How is an SA supposed to handle that (she acted like the SA was her own personal SA). Revealing personal things is fine when its relevant to the shopping experience or if you are asked direct questions about it (an example: if you are looking at scarves and stoles and your SA suggests silk ones and you mention that isn't a good idea because you're allergic to silk, or if someone sees your engagement ring and comments on it and you mention things about your fiancé/spouse, etc.). Sharing intimate details with a relative stranger when it is completely irrelevant is another thing. While you can share small details, the big things and the trials and tribulations of life should be kept between close friends/family/therapist not shared with a SA as a way to manipulate them to give you what you want. I think the SA handled things very well... she was polite as much as could (even though I couldn't see her responses I could tell the SA was getting super annoyed and frustrated with Mel). Also she was reselling dream bags, free items (that aren't even supposed to be sold) and packaging materials like boxes, and fake designer things... why would Hermes support this (I think they would even see it as a red flag if you're consistently buying other designers and continually selling them shortly after getting them because it suggests you'd do that with their bags)? How is it brand loyalty to continually sell Hermes things? I think Hermes would rather a person buy less if they are buying things they love and are going to use, that's loyalty and a love of the brand.

Honestly, the more I see from POF the more I’m wondering if she’s telling a fisherman’s tale. We know she’s watching every video that mentions her name! There is so much desperation in the majority of her choices and behaviors, and the more she talks about this the more she admits and contradicts herself. POF acts like the rules of life do not apply to her, and it makes me really wonder of the authenticity of her story. Hermès is NOT going to choose to sell her a dream bag for serval reasons, starting with the fact that she SOLD the first one they allowed her to buy because she thought the color made her look fat. 🤦🏻♀️ She sold herself in the intimate details of those e-mails and then got buried when she turned the camera on and made videos about it. I think she knew she had crossed a line she couldn’t recover from and decided to make videos about it because she had nothing else to lose and figured she could at least get views out of it. Unfortunately it’s also given people a bad taste in their mouths about her and some folks aren’t going to take her seriously anymore. This has been a costly experience but not the one she was hoping for.

I think she’s bitter they didn’t want her business. She forgets that Hermès is an elite brand and they aren’t desperate for clients who have to constantly resell bags so that they’ll have money to buy more…. She made it pretty obvious that she wasn’t the rich clientele hermès wanted and was the kind of person who had a limited funds so she had to constantly sell bags so that she would have money to buy new ones. She really needs to learn her place…
Her friends who gave her a positive feedback on UA-cam, if they really loved her, should have not enabled her behavior either. Call tacky for what it is, help give her reality check and self reflection. My former best friend was like Mel, I told her the truth about her overbearing demanding persona, and forgave her anyway for something she did and she got bitter towards me because I refused to associate with her any longer. Some people just dont learn, but tell the truth anyway.

Hey Dacob! I really appreciate your insight with this whole purseonfleek saga. As a fellow Australian, i really wanted to support her, but her rebut video where she was being rude and swore all over the place, was too much for me. and then reading her lash out in the comments section to her commentors was just super off-putting to read. I empathise with how much bullying she received and yes, the stalking and threats are un-called for. but that doesn't mean you should lash out at your commentors as soon as they have opposing opinions to you. And you're totally correct that her rebut video was just her first video on a re-run with her rejustifying everything she did. And like you've said previously, customers are well within their right how they want to treat their bags/merchandise that they've paid their money for. I totally agree that someone with a reseller profile as high profile as hers is probably not what Hermes wants associated with its products. I feel purseonfleek is completely blind to her ebay profile being part of the problem. There's nothing illegal about selling dupes, but to have that so easily linked to your high luxury profile is probably not a good look for Hermes. But to be honest, being blocked by Hermes wouldn't really impact her negatively. Whatever she wants, she can still easily get in the re-sell market, and she has always shopped in the re-sell market for bags she's determined to get anyways. The only difference is, she probably won't have as many boxes/dust bags/ packaging to sell on her ebay now that she won't be shopping in the stores as much.
Sometimes there are huge signs that some people aren't equipped to handle the pressures of social media - it takes a very strong person mentally to handle being a public persona on social media. It can cause you to obsessively act out to satisfy an audience - especially when you start monetizing successfully. So if you make that choice - you better check your mental health first. Maybe it's time she goes offline and starts living real life in real time.
You know this world is messed up when us poor folks have better manners and more class than these rich folks. If I had 20k spare and had a choice on whether to buy an old ladies bag or send a bunch of vaccines or medicines to a country that really needed it, I know exactly what I'd choose to do ❤

I think Mel is overall a nice person but she might have some issues: she buys and sells luxury stuff very quickly, she got a Birkin from the store but she sold it and now she tries desperately to get another one. I think that getting the B or K from the H store makes her feel special, there are no other explanations. She told she spent lots of money without getting offered a bag, I assume that, with the same amount of money, she could have bought 2 or 3 preloved bags in the size, leather, hardware and colour she wanted but she didn’t choose firstly this way because she wanted the challenge of the store. By the way, I really didn’t like the rude answers she wrote under some comments, she didn’t accept other people point of views and it doesn’t show self control and balance.

Regarding the dupes, we call this "splitting hairs". You are using the technical "legal" definition so that the brand doesn't sue you, but in essence, or spirit, there is no difference. I have a hard time not calling "dupes" fakes. I understand if something is inspired by another design, everyone and everything gets inspired by something else, but when an item is exactly the same except for the logo, that is a problem to me. And if it's a problem for a regular person who just likes the designs, you can bet it's a problem for Hermes, LV, Chanel, etc. As you said, she is not H&M or Zara.
She looked desperate in her first video and completely unhinged in her second. Lots of excuses, but still not taking responsibility for her poor behavior and actions. I really wanted to feel badly for her, but I just can’t.

I think the fact that she told the postnatal depression story surrounding the sale of the first bag is very telling that she knew how that would look, because that story was not only very personal but really not necessary for the rest of the video…I think she felt the need to over justify it (not that I’m claiming she’s lying, just that she didn’t need to go into detail) to avoid people coming to the conclusion that it was the reason they weren’t offering her more bags.

The SA couldn’t tell her that Hermès has sold her so many quota bags only for her to turn around and sell it on eBay. Her pushy personality doesn’t help either. How is it appropriate for her to come to her SA and confront her about her other clients and the bags that she has sold them. Super inappropriate.
As Mel was talking about how Hermès staff would receive training on how to deal with customers requesting quota bags (basically implying that a poor SA should have to take her poor behavior because they have been trained in how to deal with it.) Even if the "duping" and selling of packaging wasn't the reason, I think it's still reasonable for the store to not want to sell her their most prized products since she very publicly sold her first one. Imagine making a precious, one-of-a-kind piece of art and gifting it to someone, and that someone goes and re-gifts it the next day. Even if that is that person's right to re-gift, would you be willing to painstakingly make another one-of-a-kind gift for that person? I definitely would not.
No matter how much better it makes someone feel, they aren't "gifts." They are $10k handbags that they SELL to you.

You could argue that they are “gifting” you the opportunity to purchase one, which, due to their marketing and our response, is considered to be a valuable and precious opportunity. Not everyone gets an offer to buy and as I mentioned, if Hermès is choosing who to give this opportunity to, they will likely choose people they feel are going to appreciate it.

Also, the artisans that make these particular bags are known to be decently compensated and are required to formal schooling prior to apprenticing at Hermes for a number of years before they can start making these bags. You could argue they're not fairly compensated considering the insane markup, but definitely not sweatshop.

I do understand her point a bit. She apparently is not blacklisted according to Hermes. She wanted to play the Hermes game and when she saw others getting bags and her not being offered any for a looong time- she broke down. As a loyal customer, either tell me I will never get the bag and let me go, or give me a bag whenever possible. The Hermes “game” is not for everyone. And my advice to her would be never let any luxury brand affect the way you feel about yourself. At the end of the day, it is still just a bag.

I have a real question : I agree that what she’s doing is bad, and you should not buy bags just to resell them like she does, but how is she any different to the many resellers on instagram who are taking pre-orders and find rare bags for you for a fee ? Are those instagram resellers different than her ? (If not, should we also stop using their services ?)
Valid point, but the difference is that these accounts are fully transparent about being resellers; they don't make videos crying about how Hermes blacklisted them. If Hermes discovers that they are resellers and blacklists them, that's part of the game.
Honestly I don't think she's a professional Hermes reseller, i.e., getting orders from people and then asking for bags from the store. I think she's obsessed with getting the next bag and the moment she gets it she gets bored and sells it, and then goes for the next bag.

I felt this saga will definitely be continued to get views - I mean, why not capitalize on it? It did go viral after all. I think that she should have just come out and said "Look, I'm tired of this BS Hermes is pulling with their games and I just wanted to call them out on it and put them in their place. I want to expose their shady dealing" - I think that would have earned a lot more support.
Some of her points I can understand (i.e. not being able to go in store as she has young children). I saw a video somewhere where the person said "well I have kids too and I go in" - that's not something anyone should criticize, everyone's situation is different, every child's needs are different and not every parent is comfortable leaving their children with someone else or taking their children out shopping. Where I was confused was how she said that the reason why she sells things is because she's allergic to dust and needs to declutter all the time. Hmm, just flat out say "Hey, these items (dustbags, packaging) are useless to me and they take up space, there is a demand for these items so I make some pocket change on the side." Like just admit it.
Overall, this is a situation I would never wish upon anyone. I haven't followed her channel until now, but I can tell she really loves Hermes (just like how you and I love Chanel). I can understand how insulted she must have felt.

I always get my fresh produce either Fridays or Saturdays so its always fun to see which tiny creatures might appear from the fruits or vegetables. I am not particularly scared of insects. I try to get organic produce so if the fruits and veggies are not sprayed with chemicals, tiny creatures are to be expected... I believe in her video she explained that she saw a post and, as you do, clicked on the tagged account, unaware of who he was, only then to find out it was the store manager at her local Hermes, who had already stalked her on Instagram, before she even knew him and blocked her.

I think I understand what the problem is. Mel made several mistakes. First, in multiple videos she talks about what she spent with each SA and says that the she spent was a waste with the SA's that left (that literally implies that she spent what she spent to get a dream bag). It is so tacky to talk about how much money you spend... we all know that a dream Hermes bag is thousands of dollars... and the sandals and twillys and scarves are hundreds of dollars... no need to go into specific detail.
Secondly, as you mentioned in a previous video Dacob, she was way too intimate with the SA and constantly was changing her wish list (that implies that those bags aren't her dream bag). How is an SA supposed to handle that (she acted like the SA was her own personal SA). Revealing personal things is fine when its relevant to the shopping experience or if you are asked direct questions about it (an example: if you are looking at scarves and stoles and your SA suggests silk ones and you mention that isn't a good idea because you're allergic to silk, or if someone sees your engagement ring and comments on it and you mention things about your fiancé/spouse, etc.). Sharing intimate details with a relative stranger when it is completely irrelevant is another thing. While you can share small details, the big things and the trials and tribulations of life should be kept between close friends/family/therapist not shared with a SA as a way to manipulate them to give you what you want. I think the SA handled things very well... she was polite as much as could (even though I couldn't see her responses I could tell the SA was getting super annoyed and frustrated with Mel).
Also she was reselling dream bags, free items (that aren't even supposed to be sold) and packaging materials like boxes, and fake designer things... why would Hermes support this (I think they would even see it as a red flag if you're consistently buying other designers and continually selling them shortly after getting them because it suggests you'd do that with their bags)? How is it brand loyalty to continually sell Hermes things? I think Hermes would rather a person buy less if they are buying things they love and are going to use, that's loyalty and a love of the brand.
Don't forget tracking down the shop manager on Instagram,, only to find out she Was Blocked
Mel does come across rather intense I felt sorry for her though anyone who breaks down over something like this has some deep rooted issues.

Honestly, the more I see from POF the more I’m wondering if she’s telling a fisherman’s tale. We know she’s watching every video that mentions her name! There is so much desperation in the majority of her choices and behaviors, and the more she talks about this the more she admits and contradicts herself. POF acts like the rules of life do not apply to her, and it makes me really wonder of the authenticity of her story. Hermès is NOT going to choose to sell her a dream bag for serval reasons, starting with the fact that she SOLD the first one they allowed her to buy because she thought the color made her look fat. 🤦🏻♀️ She sold herself in the intimate details of those e-mails and then got buried when she turned the camera on and made videos about it. I think she knew she had crossed a line she couldn’t recover from and decided to make videos about it because she had nothing else to lose and figured she could at least get views out of it. Unfortunately it’s also given people a bad taste in their mouths about her and some folks aren’t going to take her seriously anymore. This has been a costly experience but not the one she was hoping for.

I think she’s bitter they didn’t want her business. She forgets that Hermès is an elite brand and they aren’t desperate for clients who have to constantly resell bags so that they’ll have money to buy more…. She made it pretty obvious that she wasn’t the rich clientele hermès wanted and was the kind of person who had a limited funds so she had to constantly sell bags so that she would have money to buy new ones. She really needs to learn her place…
Her friends who gave her a positive feedback on UA-cam, if they really loved her, should have not enabled her behavior either. Call tacky for what it is, help give her reality check and self reflection. My former best friend was like Mel, I told her the truth about her overbearing demanding persona, and forgave her anyway for something she did and she got bitter towards me because I refused to associate with her any longer. Some people just dont learn, but tell the truth anyway.

Hey Dacob! I really appreciate your insight with this whole purseonfleek saga.
As a fellow Australian, i really wanted to support her, but her rebut video where she was being rude and swore all over the place, was too much for me. and then reading her lash out in the comments section to her commentors was just super off-putting to read.
I empathise with how much bullying she received and yes, the stalking and threats are un-called for. but that doesn't mean you should lash out at your commentors as soon as they have opposing opinions to you. And you're totally correct that her rebut video was just her first video on a re-run with her rejustifying everything she did.
And like you've said previously, customers are well within their right how they want to treat their bags/merchandise that they've paid their money for. I totally agree that someone with a reseller profile as high profile as hers is probably not what Hermes wants associated with its products. I feel purseonfleek is completely blind to her ebay profile being part of the problem. There's nothing illegal about selling dupes, but to have that so easily linked to your high luxury profile is probably not a good look for Hermes.
But to be honest, being blocked by Hermes wouldn't really impact her negatively. Whatever she wants, she can still easily get in the re-sell market, and she has always shopped in the re-sell market for bags she's determined to get anyways. The only difference is, she probably won't have as many boxes/dust bags/ packaging to sell on her ebay now that she won't be shopping in the stores as much.
When the Hermes Crop comes out, I know the truth will be told.

Sometimes there are huge signs that some people aren't equipped to handle the pressures of social media - it takes a very strong person mentally to handle being a public persona on social media. It can cause you to obsessively act out to satisfy an audience - especially when you start monetizing successfully. So if you make that choice - you better check your mental health first. Maybe it's time she goes offline and starts living real life in real time.

I love Mel’s channel but I wish she didn’t sell the dupes and packaging on eBay. I believe she love Hermès and she is very informative. I hope both sides can take accountability and she can continue to shopping in the store including her dream bags. I think Mel is overall a nice person but she might have some issues: she buys and sells luxury stuff very quickly, she got a Birkin from the store but she sold it and now she tries desperately to get another one. I think that getting the B or K from the H store makes her feel special, there are no other explanations. She told she spent lots of money without getting offered a bag, I assume that, with the same amount of money, she could have bought 2 or 3 preloved bags in the size, leather, hardware and colour she wanted but she didn’t choose firstly this way because she wanted the challenge of the store.
By the way, I really didn’t like the rude answers she wrote under some comments, she didn’t accept other people point of views and it doesn’t show self control and balance.

Regarding the dupes, we call this "splitting hairs". You are using the technical "legal" definition so that the brand doesn't sue you, but in essence, or spirit, there is no difference. I have a hard time not calling "dupes" fakes. I understand if something is inspired by another design, everyone and everything gets inspired by something else, but when an item is exactly the same except for the logo, that is a problem to me. And if it's a problem for a regular person who just likes the designs, you can bet it's a problem for Hermes, LV, Chanel, etc. As you said, she is not H&M or Zara.
She looked desperate in her first video and completely unhinged in her second. Lots of excuses, but still not taking responsibility for her poor behavior and actions. I really wanted to feel badly for her, but I just can’t.
It is a dangerous territory. She didn't care about her background. All her Ebay moments play against her anyway. I like her channel for her knowledge, it is like online lesson. But exactly this story is not good, oh, it is not... and if you know all about your beloved brand obviously you dont know how to behave with it - that means you dont know everything and also need to learn. Who is right - H or M - we will not know, because it is all really just a legend. But this story is a lesson to us - things are just things, and even Alexander Macedonian said "I have all gold in this world, but I cant have it in eternity and I will pass with empty hands"

I think the fact that she told the postnatal depression story surrounding the sale of the first bag is very telling that she knew how that would look, because that story was not only very personal but really not necessary for the rest of the video…I think she felt the need to over justify it (not that I’m claiming she’s lying, just that she didn’t need to go into detail) to avoid people coming to the conclusion that it was the reason they weren’t offering her more bags.
