I bought it 5 months ago and I am VERY satisfied. I am already mastering the ACRO mode and have flown in this mode 3 times. Now only ACRO mode... The drone is just SUPER. The last time I got carried away with flying and when the battery was low, the drone itself let me know why it returned home at full charge. So the best drone for beginners.
That’s great I am gonna fly the drone for the first time in full acro mode this week I have been practicing for weeks with my little whoops and my simulator
@@954Film i just got the goggles integra, the ones with remote ID GPS inside them, you can use them to fly the FPV and AVATA along with any DJI O3 air unit you may have, You wont have to have your phone connected to the goggles anymore

A few weeks ago I bought the AIR 3 and Mini 4 Pro, both fly more combos, & I bought the Integra goggles Motion 2 Combo, to fly those two drones with goggles. I'm waiting for another paycheck to buy 2 year care Refresh Plans for both drones before I fly them. Hopefully Flying the AIR 3 in Sport mode will be somewhat similar as flying the FPV Drone in sport mode, but with a much longer battery life.
I have the fpv explorer combo with the Integra goggles and I have an Air 3 and flown with the goggles. Top speed of the Air 3 in sport mode is about 47mph and the characteristics are so different, not similar at all but the Air 3 is still awesome to fly with the goggles. It's awesome with the controller too.
You don’t have to have your phone hooked up all the time right after I start my Drone up, I take it up in the air disconnect the cable you will get ID error on the right side of the screen that’s it. It flies exactly the same.
I never updated mine and never will. Never had any remote ID issue. had it at FW 01.02.00.00 for the DJI fpv racer drone. In fact, I just hacked it recently.
Ive heard terrible things about anything but the Stock DJI Propellers on this Drone. Basically everyone that has those props that had an issue, had a blade snap off randomly in flight and then the drone falls like you said.. I actually have a set and i liked them, but as soon as i heard about all the Horror stories with them I dont use them anymore. Also you can just replace the quick-mount propeller assembly with a 5mm shaft to run traditional 5" or 5.1" FPV drone props off a normal 5" fpv drone
If you plug it all in either with the goggles and dji fly or on the computer with dji assistant 2, it will offer the update. DJI hasnt been updating this drone in years so theres no reason to update it anyeay.. Also im 99% sure the Goggles 2/Integras work with the DJI FPV drone, because they with the DJI Air unit V1/Vista, and the DJI FPV drone has an Air Unit inside for the video and then pretty much with the other things added like a normal dji drone.

I own both the Avata and the FPV drone so i have been having a blast flying them. I will agree the Avata is far more durable as I have crashed it several times and aside from some prop damage it has held up very well. I actually crashed my FPV drone into a tree the first time I got it in in the air in sport mode... Luckily I bought the arm bracers so it survived virtually unscathed aside from some prop damage. However since graduating to manual mode I have yet to crash it again after 10 - 15 packs or so. In my experience the Avata is definitely the more forgiving and cost effective drone, but its also relatively sluggish and slow compared to the FPV drone.
