I had no idea Will made it to "The Mickey Mouse Club". Congratulations, Will! Also, I would spazz out if Christina, J. C., Ryan, Keri, Britney and Justin held some sort of reunion.
They had actual outfits for each different part of the show. The main outfit was a t-shirt with Mickey and a pleated skirt for the girls and pants for the boys. They had cowboy/cowgirl outfits for Round-Up day. They had different things for each day, like Guest Day, Talent Day, etc. Plus, there were actually running series during the show, usually with a mystery involved. They were allowed to visit places on Career Day. One of the Mousketeers could do something, like be an actual stewartess on an actual plane and have the outfit and learn how to do every. It gave kids ideas on what to do when they grew up. They had cartoon segments with Disney characters that taught school subjects in a fun way. Jiminey Crickett did E-N-C-Y-C-L-O-P-E-L-I-A! He would open the actual book and pick a subject and you would learn about it and then tell the kids to go and read this great book. And you got real lessons on things like Stop, Drop and Roll; Look Both Ways before crossing the street, etc. This was not just a Disco Duck (Donald!) show. It was a well-rounded show for kids. I don't think kids could sit through this today.
I was born in the 80's but I grew up watching the original 1950's MMC on VHS. The new one is truly catered to the younger generation and I'm glad to know there is clean wholesome tv available. Classic over modern for me.
