Love Hansa Teutonica...one of my favorites! Nice job! I think the final scoring rule for largest network is the number of offices you have in those connected cities, not the number of cities, but in this case, no one claimed multiple offices in any city, so the scoring still ended up being correct. For my first several plays, I thought the rule was as you stated, then someone who had 50+ plays pointed out that subtle difference.
1:02:26 btw, to store the bonus marker you gonna place after your turn, THATS actually what the plate is for! You have to place it there upside down. And I think it’s a brilliant design choice, because you only get a marker on your plate when you claimed one before, wich means your accountant is aware that he made a great profit by claiming this route and treats himself with a nice lunch break 😊
I know this is an old comment but, if you haven't seen and are still interested, the Hansa Teutonica Big Box reprint is out and about now. I just snatched up a copy myself and can't wait to get it to the table.
In German it's "Köln," yes, but the game is set in the 1100s when the chief language in utility was Latin; hence "Coellen." The whole game is in Latin if you hadn't notice, including the title. So, actually, their pronunciation is correct or at least much closer to phonetic Latin than modern-day German.
@@blaice9226 It's actually a weird mishmash of languages, and Coellen isn't the Latin name of the city, it's Colonia. It's probably mediaeval or local version/spelling of the name.
@@blaice9226 Coellen was the way it was written in German in the Middle Ages. None of the city names are Latin, they are all German. The full Latin name of Cologne was Colonia Claudia Ara Agrippinensium.
I get it. I love this game, but the look… yeah. Even though it’s perfectly modeled after historical correct pictures of that time. But gameplay wise it’s awesome 😉 simple, quick setup, minimal playtime and two to three games in, these cubes become HEAVY, especially with experienced groups! Every decision gets so important ! It’s great 😊 I think, SU&SD made the best Review of this game so far, you should give it a try 😉
Don’t let the look or even watching a play through fool you. This game is so tense when you’re playing. I usually hate pure, dull looking euros like this but HT is just so satisfying.

Glad to see a gameplay video being done on this one, I'm sure tons of people are curious as to how it actually plays.
Enjoyed the video! Great game that doesn't make it to the table often enough.
New big box is out, great value
A very nice game! Happy to see HansaT played through with 5 players, and I wonder if you'd really make a future episode of Glory to Rome?
Thanks for the video. it was very helpful
I haven't played HT, got into the hobby too late. Waiting for a reprint :)

It is old! And I just got a copy myself in the last month. Haven't got to play it yet :)
Never too late!! Reprint is online at a very large company starting with a, or, even better yet, ask your local board game store! Happy gaming!!
Opened the window in the studio? How many people were flocking around the window listening the show?
Great game guys
Not that it terribly matters, but that city in the bottom right is Köln (or Cologne), not Co-Ellen

Yes!
be nice if the roads that got you the power ups were color coded, rather than the cities.
Big box is available
It looks so boring, physically and gameplay wise. Ugh.
