That's a technique called a slide or power slide. It takes advantage of the fact that sometimes the game still thinks you're in mid air, having the player simply slide down the hill even at max falling speed at times, making this run super fast.
The best it can do is tie our other option in terms of how fast it is, and it's harder in some ways. I used it here because at the time, the warp was known, but the most modern way to do the normal route was not yet known. That modern way just about renders the warp too hard for not enough payoff, if not completely obsolete
There are some video tutorials by Daggy898 and Rithek. Some more tutorials are also planned in the future, and general text descriptions of some tech is on the speedrun.com/ssx3 "Resources" tab.
@NorthWestPvPlolrektnoob I played this, but with assistance. I can redo every section as many times as I want or slow down the game for each try until I get the outcome I want, one after another until i get a "best take". The emulator remembers all of my best takes, and can play them back as a sequence of controller inputs, basically "replaying" the best possible run! hopefully that made everything clear
finishing an ubertrick right before you land just allows you to bounce off your head and get the points for the trick. i have no idea WHY it works, it just does, and i love it
When Atomika's hard-feelin on two songs
I'm so confused and super amazed by the ground gliding 😂😂😂😂😂😂
The satisfaction of locking onto a grind… 💓 amazing feat here mate. When the entire thing looks lucky, you know it’s skill
The moment I think "surprisingly no monster tricks to show off yet" is when you shove in an Alpine Star between tracks. Perfect timing.

Question, how are you able to ride on your back or head and not crash. Example: 1:37 . Also what a fantastic run.

12:48 is that valid in NMG? Why don't we do this in our NMG runs?
