speedrun of ssx untracked fast awesome snowboard tricks wowza bowza tough urn. finish line is finicky, and some better movement through slow sections ultimately brought this down another full second. it took: 1 '43.10 1 '43.00 16 '42.94's 2 '42.92's 1 '42.87, and 1 '42.85 until i finally got my first 41. got unlucky and had to get ANOTHER 41 because my audio didn't get captured during that firs...

achieved on may 17th (wow) the head bounce at 0:52 can be done by finishing any uber trick around the time your head would hit the ground, without pressing any buttons to interrupt the trick early. it's clean as far as the rules are concerned, and honestly it's not really known if it's better or worse than landing normally. i've got a few videos still waiting to be published, as well as a curre...

Tricky Madness! it's an indie spiritual successor to SSX as a whole, with similar tricks, boost, and speed. today is the first day i got to try the demo on Steam, and it's great so far. the game currently features a single map with both a "freestyle" and a "time trial" mode available! this route was developed by me, though i'm not the first to have thought of it. on older demos, the optimal rac...

this is an unedited session of me getting this score... connecting my controller to my display at the start and everything. voila - i can do competitive tricky showoff too! this track is my strongest track in competitive showoff, followed by Aloha Ice Jam (maybe AIJ video soon?) i technically wiped out like four times in this run, but they really weren't consequential for score. i got really sh...

big-time improvement thanks to a much better jump at 1:34. i never improved this past a 1:50 earlier because I was bad at the strat and always got WAY too nervous after hitting it. in this session, i had a much better focus. thx to @AverageTreyVG for inspiration, see his PB that got me to try this category again: ua-cam.com/video/3OPE1YgzHIU/v-deo.html

lowkey volume warning for the weird fireworks noises *"IR" STANDS FOR INITIAL RECORD.* uses the newly-found wormhole discovered by Julia, once again she's given this game a breath of life. @Juliaqt this was also speculated to work due to the shape of the course - it's shaped like a C, and this wormhole goes roughly into the middle of it. Kele, what's your best map in Tricky??
@@crazytechguy5735 for non-TAS race, I think Garibaldi or Merqury City for TAS race, Untracked for non-TAS showoff, Mesablanca with Aloha Ice Jam not far behind for TAS showoff, Elysium Alps if you just want my favorites, I really like casually riding Merqury and Untracked!
@@kelecat7094 Good Choice, man.
How come I go to the ramp straight and still manage to get bumped when my dude just makes the ramp out of a vertical wall?? I never get enough of his videos. It's so much fun to watch.
I absolutely love this game and have played it extensively for the past 20 years. I've watched 20 minutes of this video and I feel like we're playing two completely different games lmao. Nice man
1:43 I can't do this YET!!! Pissing me OFF!
My brother Kele seems to really hate L1 square trick. I never see him pull that trick in any of his videos, lol.
@@crazytechguy5735 Kele doesn't like it cause it's two buttons on GC! it's just easier for their brain to process the single buttons during the making of a TAS. importantly, it requires both hands on a shoulder button (imagine L2+R2 square). it's also equal in points and (roughly) duration to Scooter, the R2 + square one
respekt bro!
Man, no other maps were as pain as Merqury city. Everywhere I went, I just stumbled like hell.
Bro understands physics
how do you get credits screen?
@KrisVickers-wn6dd Credits are accessible in the main menu, under the "Options" submenu you get to Options with Y on Gamecube, and it's similarly easy on the other versions since reaching the credits doesn't involve truly PLAYING the game, we made the "All Mountain" section of the Transport menu our end screen for speedruns like this
zoooooooooooom

yo, the WR tie is real!! 😭😭
haters will say it's fake
That's a lot of windburn
My question is : how do you play in 1080p to those games ? my emulator (Romstation) only allow 480p...
@justeunfrancais I'm using Dolphin Emulator. it includes a feature which lets you increase the resolution - my "upscaling" is set to 1440p nowadays. naturally, you need a strong system to support playing at such a resolution

Dude! Amazing!
That was TRICKAAAAYYYY 🤣😂🤣! So epic!
Gotta be an Asian kid that did this run.
This is the closest thing to an SSX game we will ever get again. Absolutely buying it.
2:05 insane
The way you delayed that finish is mad insane 🎉🎉
some league guy told me to play nasus and watch this
wtf that's kinda cool but what or why either way i hope it was a nice combo
I used to play this. Nostalgia 😊
that fall down the waterfall was siiick
i knew a 1: 21 wasn't fast.. but damn man, killed it
This game still holds up today as a great game. I love this game so much 😂
1:20 - Who TF giving massages for an hour? I'm down!
imagine living in that city lmao
I got to know a lot of people because of this game. the memories... 😞
Where can I find the wr list for show off from all the videos I have seen online this is the highest score
Amazing run. How do you have multiple head accesories on your character? Any time I try to equip the headphones with other stuff like goggles it doesn't work.
@Lkymn watch the bar labeled "2" on the right. there's a strange "accessory weight" mechanic that will prevent you from stacking too many things at once. if the bar turns red, there's too much "weight", and you need to remove some accessories (turntable, disc player, etc) to make room for the goggles + headphones. some accessories simply clash with one another so that adding one will replace the other. even so, goggles/headphones shouldn't do that. I've never really known what purpose it serves to limit the accessories like that, and it's not clear what it is that adds to weight or where the limit is. it also never seems to dip below "half-full," so it's even more confusing.
@@kelecat7094 That is really weird. Thanks for the info!
I often wonder how it is some of the 2x, 3x, and 5x can be collected from such a distance when there's times you could be inches from the center and you don't get them!
basically, multipliers suck in this game, and that's all we know, sometimes they're forgiving and sometimes the dead center of them just dont work
That was fucking insane man, woah. Just got a ps2 after not playing one for nearly 20 years, and this game is top of the list! I used to play it incessantly as a kid
theres no way you can hit anything without losing points wtfffffff
@AzellaGardens you can hit any "prop" type object from rocks to signs as long as your impact is soft enough! you'll have extra tolerance for the impact if you hit it with your board first, and you can bounce higher if the tail or nose of your board make the impact. what's more, if you hit the object too rapidly (think several tiny bounces in a row), you'll get reset by the game. it's a tight balance you have to hit, which is why these bounces are generally reserved for these special showcase runs!
Bro you play ssx tricky showoff using ps2
@@EchoMacahig-q9b I play that using GC
why am I just now learning that untracked is in SSX 2000 lmao
yea, it's unlocked from master ranking iirc tricky owes a lot to this game, so i respect it heaps... no matter how much the jank makes me want to rip my hair out
@@kelecat7094 Untracked is unlocked by earning a gold medal in both Aloha Ice Jam (Race) and Pipedream (Showoff) in World Circuit
Wake up honey, new kelecat video.. oh wait they already finished
Just curious, which SSX game is your favorite, and what are your favorite things about each of the games?
@teguh.hofstee my favorite is always a tossup between tricky and 3... right now, I would say 3. first game: laying the groundwork for the series, fun to speedrun once you learn how to work around some of the engine's silliness, great music tricky: vastly more refined version of the first, ubertricks, attitude, character interactions & voice lines, good music (also my introduction to the series) 3: the SSX formula at its best, a continuous mountain, extremely appealing snow visuals, and lots of subtle ways to improve your riding (movement tech, I guess?), and great music on tour: sense of speed, good music blur: the fact that i've never played it xddd 2012: completely unique take on the franchise and realistic mountains (the bottomless pits that come from this kind of ruin it, but this approach to track design is one of the biggest reasons 2012 is so unique)
@@kelecat7094 I’ve started playing tricky for the first time after putting probably hundreds if not thousands of hours into 3 (and the first game) as a kid and seeing how packed merqury city meltdown is with shortcuts and easter eggs, as well as a lot of the tighter execution shortcuts in elysium alps and aloha ice jam, has really stuck out to me as something I feel like those games did in a way that I didn’t feel as obviously in 3. I still really love 3 for the continuous mountain and the career mode that made me feel like I was really a part of the mountain instead of something more like an arcade cabinet.
Aww man good times
beaaauutiful
air royaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaale
snowboarding games done quick
gone moderately fast

Okeay, so i completed SSX today and all I can say is WHATDAFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!!!
0.1 seconds left holy shit
Do you know how to do flying squirrel on GameCube?(ssx tricky)
@@flowzqz37 Use the "All Grabs" cheat. it changes Y and X to grab buttons, and I believe Z to warp. The button combos vary depending on the character, but Flying Squirrel should only be two buttons. On the title screen, hold L+R and press Z, Z, Z, Z, A, A, A, A, Z, Z, Z, Z, and then let go of L+R
@@kelecat7094 Appreciate you!
