This completes a small portion of my plan to optimize the animal room. More to come, but I'm really excited to have this portion done... and in case you didn't put two and two together, I now have two empty plywood tanks. What should I do with them? Also, which one of these vivariums is your favorite? I probably like Henry's the best (the one on the right).
Love these builds. The middle one is the best. The color pop from the bromeliad is very striking in the 3rd vivarium. The background came out great too. I am taking away some inspiration from here for a project of mine. Thanks!!!
Absolutely adore your designs! And I love how you show how you did it, you're the Bob Ross of animal enclosures, lol. I wish I had a workshop, I don't own many of the tools you use.
I love your videos so much. Was watching aquarium co op live the other day and he was talking about you. Nice to see others showing you the respect you deserve
I’ve had so much trouble with the coco husk on foam and am at the starting point of a huge rebuild/upgrade. Thank you so much for sharing this process! This gives me a lot to think about. Surprised to see you didn’t include cork hides but there’s so much coverage- these are great!
I did that background technique for my brother's bearded dragons enclosure I made and it came out amazing. He can climb up both sides and the back and he loves it! It's a 4x2x2 wood enclosure. It is super time consuming, but the end result is perfect and looks so realistic to their natural environment! Okay, back to the video!
I love how Serpa didn't just try to make beautiful tanks for UA-cam clout and views, first and foremost he wanted to make sure the geckos were safe and could use the enclosure however they wanted. I respect that.
I love how balance beauty with the needs of your animals, you always think of their needs first and manage to make something so beautiful that is pleasing and functional for both you and them. ❤️ Thank you!
i find myself watching your videos right before i go to sleep abs end up falling asleep 5 minutes in… i go back and finish the video when i wake up… subscribed!
Your work is so inspiring. It's so much fun to watch your builds come to life. Your cresties and gargoyle gecko will absolutely love the new homes you've built for them!!
I can’t express enough how relaxing and fun your videos are. It brings me back to how much I loved when the science teacher would wheel in the cart and we’d watch some kind of educational something or other, and how fun it was to learn about biology and the world. Just pure joy. Thanks, man.
Hey there buddy. I’m actually about to build something similar to this in a week or so. How often do you mist the plants? Have you come up with a way to automate that task?
I find myself frequently Inspired by your work as I know so many others are, you're a true artist. As someone who works within the industry, I'd definitely recommend offering all of these guys uvb, or at least doing further research into the benefits. Great scapes as always.
Luke is right, please do more research, unfortunately it's a common misconception that crestys dont need uvb or have no benefit from it, but show major health and behavior benefits such as activity with a UVB light providing about 5% uvb I recommend a Repti-Sun 5.0
Got my first Crested gecko. Already want to give her a bigger set up. Thank you for the detailed build. I am not as talented as you but it does help to see you do it. Background was what I was struggling with.
Its so easy to watch these videos and forget how many labor intensive hours it takes to creste such incredible enclosures. They are beautiful and your talent is uneivaled in the hobby for naturalistic enclosures.
Tanner, it's like you're reading my mind all the time - I'll be thinking about making a purple foam/concrete viv background, haven't even started searching, and BOOM, you show up in my YT notifications building something similar. Nice work, as always.
Wondering: Has Tanner ever tried making a hexagonical or oddshaped terrarium? Mostly curious in how to cut the glass for that and what he'd stock it with
*By Your Side* is Awesome Music @ the ending! I love it! 🎶 Thanks for the Exposure to it! And I love these builds for your pets! Anymore functional Paludariums or Waterfall Features in stocked Vivariums coming?
Absolutely love the background on these!! So doable for me! The silicone/coco fibre looked really messy and involved, carving ALL of the dried expanding foam for the silicon to stick etc, your enclosures are stunning, as usual Tanner, lucky lucky geckos, I’m learning everything I can from you about vivarium builds before I make my own and go pick my new gecko up from the breeder
I have two golden geckos that recently laid eggs and I have a hard time optimizing humidity within the terrarium. I'm keeping up on misting them but they're currently in a small, 10 gallon high basic kit that I got when I picked them up from a friend's rescue. So, I intend to make a similar terrarium setup to yours so they have more space, better humidity and a more natural environment as opposed to the plastic plants and low lying perch areas. Already subbed, have been for some time and I really appreciate the in depth step by step because it means I can get an idea of how long it'll take. Thinking of asking my dad to assist and am looking forward to a fun project. Thanks for providing a basis for my next project!
Love the updated setups! Question: for those just starting on making vivariums but has to quarantine, do you have any prefered online stores to get supplies?
for quarantine? I haven't started yet, tho I'd probably prefer just to use fake plants, rocks and branches, as well as hides obviously. More just things that are simple enough to clean, the fake plants can be reused in the next upgrade if it's like another temp enclosure, or if the owner doesn't want to go bio, plus rocks and branches can be the same and you can get them from outdoors, just good to know your woods just in case in this situation, and imo I'd probably still sterilise any woods, rocks etc I buy anyway, as I am just paranoid. Sterilising via baking, boiling or soaking overnight or more in a diluted vinegar or bleach solution. Hope this helps, I think cheap stores, pound land and similar as well as possible some garden stores have some fake plants/vines etc.
Well done. Next time I build one, I'll be using the foam insulation board. Couple of tips...make sure to use food grade silicone. I forget which GE "version" it is, but it will say on the back of the tube. Personally, I would have put a bead around the edges to prevent any moisture from collecting behind the background.
This gives me a ton of inspiration for my gargoyle gecko!! I want her to have a good amount of enrichment and fun in her enclosure. Your builds are always amazing, thank you for sharing them!
I loved this video. I appreciated how you painted the background with dry lock. I’m going to have to try that with my next scape. Up till now I’ve just glued moss to cover my expanding foam. I like having more option.
These look great! I got an idea you might find interesting by looking at this setup. What if you made it so there were tunnels that connected 2-3 tanks for an animal that likes a variety of environments? Idk if it would work but it seems like a fun set up and build project
This is exactly what I wanted ♡ yup have a few schefflerras ...they just keep growing forever... I enjoyed this throughly. Your tanks and geckos are beautiful!
Man, you’re so damn good at scaping the terriums! They look amazing and naturalistic. You make it seem so easy. If you ever will travel to Sweden (where I live) you must come and visit and help me scaping a terrarium. Take care my friend! John
I don't own reptiles, but i do find them interesting. The other reason i love this channel is the way you take so much time to make the habitats good for the animals, but really attractive. Great job.
I only just finished my crested gecko enclosure, I was following your original video of Henry's enclosure as a guide (But inside an Exoterra)and it turned out amazingly! but I agree with the background, it was very messy, time consuming and the gecko slips on it, Ill definitely be using the technique you used here in future projects!
Wow amazing video! I really want to make my own DIY vivariums sometime in the future! 🔥 watching your videos inspires me. My favorite tank has to be the one with the flower, something about the red in there makes it stand out more 🔥
I love watching your videos, some of the names of the plants really make me smile. I swear you make some of the funnier ones up to see who's paying attention but you say them with such a straight voice its hard to tell :P

Tanner....can I send you some lighting?
Long time subscriber. 🙏🦎
I’d love to see a smooth green snake enclosure with a bit of grass or low lying vegetation. Love your videos!
The bromeliad one was my favorite
Maybe some newts or a bearded dragon
Oh boy! I was wondering what the fate of those two empty vivariums would be!! Cuban anoles (false chameleons) would be super cool in those set-ups!
I see Cresties, I click. Simple as that.
Love your "handle". I too remember Boaty McBoatface. When I've eaten beans, I call myself? F4rty McF4rta$$.
@@frogpalpeeper4249 hah thank you, I was directly inspired by the boaty mcboatface fiasco
I'm a simple man, cresties, click, smile
I'd like to be one of Tanner's animals, so I can be in a place where I can relax and see nice things.
It's simply beautiful.
Everyone should look up to your builds, they are truly amazing.
They are beautiful, arent they!
Yes!
could you create a spotify playlist with all the songs you listen to while scaping your tanks?
That would be very cool!
I think he listens to Viking metal/ war cries 😂
God I hope it's just like. Hardcore, hyper aggressive rap. That would be so funny 😂😂😂
@@millie-mayprice891 yeah he's so sweet imagining him listening to $uicideboy$ is hilarious

Really tho! Where is playsand tanner?

This is so exciting. I've been thinking of getting a Chahoua. Love the video, great inspiration!
They're pretty neat as well! I love all the NC geckos.
I love how much respect and care you have for your animals, you obviously love them. Your gecko's are beautiful.
He’s so creative have no idea how he thinks of these things.
I like the simplicity of this build. I mean I love the old builds, but this works for those still working out the kinks in the learning process.
So beautiful to watch someone do something so well and with so much respect. Joy to you and all who enjoy your work.
The detail put into these builds is insane
Out of all th geckos I've ever bred. Crested are by far my favorite. They're the most chill geckos.
The way you explained and put everything in together makes this one of your best videos.
Purfect they almost look like 1 continous scape if not for the walls inbetween. I really like it!
I love your videos so much.
Was watching aquarium co op live the other day and he was talking about you.
Nice to see others showing you the respect you deserve
What video I didn't see it?

I've been looking in to drylok backgrounds for a while. This looks like a much easier method than foaming and carving
I swear ...those geckos look truly happy in the homes you've made them.

Each enclosure is as beautiful and unique as their inhabitants
Beautiful! Love it T! Just saying Gecko makes me smile. Those geckos no doubt will love their new set up. 🦎💚
I'm going to try this with my crested geckos . I'm sure they would love something like this . Great job 👏👍. One of my favorite builds without a doubt.
Wondering: Has Tanner ever tried making a hexagonical or oddshaped terrarium? Mostly curious in how to cut the glass for that and what he'd stock it with
I think he's made smaller vivariums but im not sure if he's ever added any animals besides maybe small inverts
ive got a 10 gallon hex I'd love to use for frogs, was previously a betta home, but he passed after a freak weather storm popped the power for a week.
Wow, the geckos and your setups are so beautiful! Thanks for showing us 😍
So beautiful! Henry's is also my favorite, the red really makes it pop!

Wow you really nailed that outro sequence tanner. Impeccable filming/editing/lighting and the music was great.
Looking great man.
Wish we were allowed Crested Gecko's in Australia, they look super cool!
Yep me to
Velvet geckos are also very cool. Here they are quite rare, but they are in the same family as cresteds.
I love how every single sett up is different.
