We definitely need to ‘practice’ just sitting and enjoying our garden, if we sit down, we generally jump up again two minutes later as there is always something pressing that needs done. But we do enjoy the process of achieving goals and know exactly what we want to do, perhaps one day when it’s all done we can chill out a bit in it! 🤣 Until then, so much to do!

Aways interesting at the end of the various seasons to sit n appraise what did well n what didn't. Other than the real obvious planting in heavy shade etc. Most of it falls down to the weather. This year we've had a great growing season (great for growth - not so good for blooms) But a different season & new challenges.

In SE Pennsylvania in US Zone 6B. I also noticed less butterflies this year also as did my gardener friends. Early in the season, there were none but thankfully, in late summer, they appeared. But certainly not like other years. Usually the buddleia is covered in them. Hopefully they come back next year. Thanks for the tour! Beautiful and inspiring!
I live in NYC and saw a lot of butterflies in my garden this year. Maybe that's because my perennials finally matured into sizeable specimens that can support the life cycle of insects and small mammals and birds. It was nice to see my efforts at urban wilding pay off.
