40+ videos later and you are the only one that has explained how to use the code plug in the radio. They explain what DMR is and show you how to make a code plug then say your all set, have fun. Thank you for taking the time to help out those new to DMR. 73. WJ0NF
Great video! thanks! how do you disconnect from a talk group however i'm using an open spot, and if i key up another talk group on the radio the original talk group still comes through. doh! I've tried to manually key in "4000" but that didn't un-link. :( LOL - change talk groups and hit the PTT button changes it over. figured it out. this video got me on my way! :)
When I change talk groups, say from TG3100 to TG3101 I see that it changes on my display and if I key the mic I'm transmitting on TG3101, BUT, I keep hearing TG3100 when they key up and talk. Someone mentioned to me about having to use 4000 to disconnect when switching talk groups. Can you explain this, please? I'm using an MD-2017 with a DVmega hotspot. Thanks.
PMR 446 DMR. well ecoflex 15 has 5.8 db of attenuation at 432mhz per 100meters wich is 328 feet. so depending on how long your run is hopefully its under 100ft so u are losing roughly 2 db in the cable with the diamond 510 u should be fine on 440 my MD 2017 works great on 440 just a good as my other 440 rigs check, your swr on 440 and make sure all is well if its flat I would test with other radios and see if its a radio issue if it is try to get a replacement from your seller
AirWavZ KG4VDZ I figured out that if you put a channel in DMR and you put the monitor on!! it will unsquelch for any talk group and color code that is active on that Channel just the timeslot has to be right!! it will on squelch for Any talk group and CC if you are interested it’s scanning your local trucking and conventional DMR networks

Thanks for the Video.
Where about are you located
I’m next to Bluefield Wv and have a Uniden home patrol one and was wondering your setup
Another great video for the beginner on DMR.
Thanks. This video really helped me and explained some things.
Turning the channel knob on my MD-UV390 doesn't change talkgroups, it changes channels (frequency).
Good information for those of us new to DMR and the MD2017 - Thanks you and 73 ... K4FZH
i've got a CS580 with two programmable buttons. i made one programmable button a "group call 4000" button to unlink. does that make sense?

Does it have simultaneous receive on 2m and 70cm?
No. It is a "dual watch" system, not a "dual receive" system.
What is an Open Spot?
TYT MD380
Made in China
This is all wrong and only screwed me up more! The top is your Channel NOT Talkgroup! bottom is zone. you failed at this video big time!
