Thanks for the video, im able to perform 3 point turns fine prior to watching this video but i havent driven in a while and im just trying to get back into driving and im revising the basics before getting back onto the road, im on my Ls and i need to try and get the required hours . Your videos have been very helpful for me, i've just watched your steering wheel guide video aswell as this video and also the video on requirements for your car when doing the driving test, thank you for making it so easy for me to follow these guides.
You're welcome Julian. These kinds of feedbacks makes me keep doing what I am doing. I'm glad to hear these videos help some people and that's the whole purpose of them. Thank you for your comment and I wish you get back on the roads soon :)
Dear Teacher, I am living in Canberra and I am learning driving with my Teacher in daily. Thanks Teacher so much for the useful lesson with Three Point Turn and some mistakes of the students when they attended the Driving Test in Australia. Thanks Teacher so much.
Hi Luule, you're welcome. Thank you for your feedback. I'm glad you found this video helpful. It's great that you are also taking some driving lessons. I'm sure your driving instructor will help you master these skills as well🙂
I passed my test today (big thank you to your videos). The only NCDE I got was not indicating for the last movement of the 3 point turn. (The note reads: failing to reapply indicator during 3 point turn) Have the rules changed since this video or did he just give me a celebratory mark down?
Congrats and you're welcome. No, the rules have not changed. Not sure why he gave you a mark down for that, because there is no need to indicate when finishing the manoeuvre. The only thing I can think of is that maybe you were in a perpendicular position to the road, and not obvious for other people where you're heading to unless you indicate
I don’t do to many 3 points turns. I can do it no problem. I remembered that I asked the DMV instructor in how to do it. That was the first test that I took with the instructor. I failed the first test by 2 points. I passed the 2nd test. I did a 3 point turn about 3 or 4 years ago in my 2015 Ford Escape on a dirt road. I don’t do it that much. I do it when there is no cars around that I can do it.
The examiners don't usually take you to very narrow road where you can't give way to other cars. But if that happens, other drivers wait for you to finish the manoeuvre and get out of their way; and the examiners see these things and understand the situation. Just make an eye contact with other drivers and make sure they are really waiting for you
Crossing arms is a driving error, whereas 'hand over hand' is a steering technique: watch this video to see the difference: ua-cam.com/users/shortszHE-4USJMxQ?feature=share
In real life a lot of people do that, but in a driving test we are not allowed to do this. Having said that, even in real life, it's best to avoid this to prevent possible collisions

@@drivingtestaustralia Ah that would make sense, it was done in Digby St so I took advantage of the width getting myself a bit perpendicular. Thanks!

3 point turns are one of the most easiest things to do
What if the street is narrow how to give way to the cars ?
The examiners don't usually take you to very narrow road where you can't give way to other cars. Good video very help
Thank you. Glad you found this helpful
Where to indicare when reversing to the left ?
No indicator needed when reversing
Shouldn't we turn the steering wheel using the push and pull method?
Not necessarily. Either push and pull or hand over hand technique. Watch this video for details: ua-cam.com/video/AUx_XkFd3FQ/v-deo.html
at various times when you are doing the maneuver, you cross your arms holding the steering wheel. can i or can't i do this?
Crossing arms is a driving error, whereas 'hand over hand' is a steering technique: watch this video to see the difference:

its a helpful video. But please do not make video near the school zone. 😅 too much notification for " you have entered the school zone😂
😅 yeah, since then, I have turned off all warning notifications
Not allowed to go into peoples driveway at all when doing a 3 point turn?
In real life a lot of people do that, but in a driving test we are not allowed to do this. Having said that, even in real life, it's best to avoid this to prevent possible collisions
❤❤❤
Why did you steel the wheel to straight position before you stop the car?
Sorry didn't get you. Which part are you talking about? minute?
"for one second they go back to their own country" 💀💀💀💀
