I built Fynn i while back and my build came out very similar to this one. One card i’d recommend adding to the creatures though is Hornet Nest. It essentially creates a board state where your opponent’s can’t attack you with any creature bigger than a 4/4 without killing themselves on the crackback. Worst case scenario they waste valuable single target removal on a 3 cmc defender. Best case scenario they don’t recognize the consequence of swinging into it and you win the game by being attacked.
I got this card in my starter collection from foundations and immediately wanted to make a green/ black phyrexian deck that revolves around using the toxic trait and proliferation.
i''ve beat all 5 of my friend's decks, and he didnt have an answer for fynn, the creatures are cheap to put out and its just beautiful....my question though to you mitch, where would you rank the fynn deck in terms of power level ( for tournaments use or just an all around game night use ) ?
I know this is budget friendly but you gotta try concordant crossroads with fynn its soooo much fun swing in immediately. Fynn is top 5 in my commander lists and I've had the most fun when I put concordant crossroads in the deck sure all creatures have haste but your life total doesn't matter much by the time they drop a creature you've already started the party before them lol!
This was my first home-built commander deck. I made many upset. We ended up with a house rule of if anyone is playing infect/poision decks, the ammount would be 20 instead of 10.
I built a $40 Fynn deck a week ago and am waiting for the rest of the cards to show. Im pretty excited to play him. ($38 and some change on TCG player)
I like this build for the most part. Fynn is the engine of this deck and is likely going to get bodied by removal. I feel like it definitely needs more options for protection. Some snake skin vale-like cards would make a huge difference and not break the budget.
Do you use any sort of specific program for making your videos? I'm starting a channel and I'm wondering the best way to create deck overviews like this
Because people are prone to fear infect. Also, the theme is deathtouch. Every creature on the deck that has deathtouch is a potential removal spell and a deterrent against attacks. With Fynn on the field they actually become removal spells, as people will have to block, unless they want to get poison counters.
anyone who builds this should consider including the enchantment “bonds of mortality” its 1g, when it enters draw a card. g: creatures loose hexproof and indestructible until end of turn. great way to ensure you can hit the things that are troublesome.
Funny enough fynn is my deck I bring out to remind people that you don’t take the 4 player commander game too seriously otherwise you’re dead to poison on turn 3 and I’m dead in 2 turns since I used all my gas killing you.
Viridian Longbow is an auto include in this deck imo. All your deathtouchers are now lethal plinkers. Fynn is fun, but its tough to get all 3 opponents, st least in my experience.
I’ve killed the whole table by like my turn 6 with this one commander because all I needed was for them to get hit once to give them poison counters and then I proceeded to proliferate. Fynn is my favorite mono green edh deck
It’s pretty bad to make a deck that is so reliant on it’s commander to function and do just the one thing it wants to do. 2-3 targeted removals are almost guaranteed to hit Fynn early as you won’t have any other actual scary targets. I had a Fynn deck, it sucked :-/. It’s a flavor win for sure, but it’s gonna be rough playing this kind of deck at almost any table.

Yeah, budget or not, this commander is guaranteed to test-if not end-friendships.
Leyline axe, brass knuckles, and similar ways to give double strike are highly effective in this deck.

My secret lair Westley, the Dread Pirate Roberts just arrived today for my Fynn deck. What timing!
I already have a Finn deck, but I love some of these strategies. Just ordered 5 new cards after watching this. ❤
I love these kinds of builds. I'm going to make this deck and give it to my friend for holidays. This will be his second deck.

This is my commander for my most powerful pauper commander deck
i love this vid, i have a fynn deck now i'm going to upgrade! thanks!
I built a 60 card meme deck around this. TMNT forever!

Why not add in the infect creatures too?
Because people are prone to fear infect.

Infect takes away from the deck. They’re both poison but different mechanics. Finn hits harder
by fynn deck has the "evasion+" equipments package evasion + protection like whispersilk cloak and evasion + card selection like key to the city
anyone who builds this should consider including the enchantment “bonds of mortality” its 1g,
when it enters draw a card.
g: creatures loose hexproof and indestructible until end of turn.
great way to ensure you can hit the things that are troublesome.
I built a Fynn deck. I very rarely play it because it is a relationship ender.
i play a version of fynn he is an amazing commander your deck looks great
This is a sweet little deck. lol. Sad that old classics like Basilisk and Cockatrice haven't held up. lol.
Funny enough fynn is my deck I bring out to remind people that you don’t take the 4 player commander game too seriously otherwise you’re dead to poison on turn 3 and I’m dead in 2 turns since I used all my gas killing you.
I find this funny, because my friend and I were talking about building this commander deck
I run a viridian long bow to put on my death touchers to snipe down things pretty spicy❤
I like predatory focus and sylvan anthem in a fynn deck
Viridian Longbow is an auto include in this deck imo. All your deathtouchers are now lethal plinkers. Fynn is fun, but its tough to get all 3 opponents, st least in my experience.
Also, Planewide Celebration is great late game. Proliferate 4 times lol.
For a few more dollars could add in toski, ohran frostfang, and evolution sage to help with ending the game and card advantage
I found it hilarious that my buddy says I rely on a mechanic to win.. while he has a poison deck 😂
Ooo I opened a lot of All will be 1 this will be very cool with some cards I gottttt
Full steam ahead will literally kill a player if you have enough deathtouchers. Great OTJ card
An awesome deck for a 10-20 dollar challenge.
Well I wanna build this now lol
I got two words for people who run this deck: Player Removal
I’ve killed the whole table by like my turn 6 with this one commander because all I needed was for them to get hit once to give them poison counters and then I proceeded to proliferate. Fynn is my favorite mono green edh deck
U are foul my friend, diabolical 😢
@ context: all their decks were basically cedh. They’ve never seen or heard of Fynn before so I wanted to bring my spice lol
First of all here‘s wayfarers bauble
I'd probably add a Karn's bastion
Poison green hell yeah
"Make me Archenemy" you'll kill one person, after that u gone!
bro i am building this deck.
Yeah fynn is pretty broken, had to tear it down
why didn't they just give this guy "Creatures with deathtouch you control have Poisonous/toxic 2" and save on space?
LMAOO this is HILARIOUS lol omg so much hate towards this deck!
It’s pretty bad to make a deck that is so reliant on it’s commander to function and do just the one thing it wants to do.

You're playing infect... you're dead
This is worse than Kalia ans Slivers. Nah bruh . This is buget build for cedh!
