- 2set, that + is not a pizz LOL
That + is in fact a trill....
The whole 6 Sonatas for 2 Violins are really nice, quite relaxing to me (???)
One of the movements even has a 5 bars grouping LOL
Hope you enjoy!
I just love how Twoset thought it was pizz, but it was just trills.
So true hahaha
which video did they play this in? haven’t kept up with two set in a couple months lol
Sight-reading Violin Duets, the excerpt in thumbnail already is this work w
Oh these might even be playable by me. And they’re so nice
He was a composer violinist. It was said that he was highly influenced by Vivaldi and French dance music( in fact, he is a dancer himself) , and has a good quality of musical materials. That earns him the name Corelley de la France. Anyways his efforts on music shouldn't be forgotten, and thanks for making a one hour score video!
Hehe
Leclair is a French violin master too, undoubtedly. His style, after influence of Locatelli and those composers who lived in Amsterdam, is also being influential to other French violinists (and composers) afterwards.
@@SisselOnline That is very true (I remember he spent most of his life in Amsterdam and Paris working as a court composer)
@@4j128 -- Beautiful extravagance.....BRAVO from Acapulco!
I listened to it in one go with emotion and fascination. It's amazing, thank you.

GR8 rendition, GR8 music, I absoutely love the duettos by Leclair, it's such a subtle music at the beginning of the Age of Enlightement or l’âge du sentiment. The main problem stays though and I'm very happy about your decision to post them with score: How can we separate the different lines of two similar instruments, it's music to hear AND to see, I mean. If I close my eyes I can't separate the voices anymore and I would have liked a recording which is a bit more stereo and two instruments which have more different colors than the violins they play. But this is high end critics :), it's adorable! And the intonation is absol. brilliant, I deeply admire all that for intonation is quite difficult here. This is why they decided to play it tempered, I guess. Many thanks for sharing! Chris
If I have that stereo recording, I definitely would use it LOL
@@SisselOnline haha, we should talk to their sound engineer 😂 but yes, an essential question so to speak, it makes me think 🤔

Leclar is one if my favourite baroque composers, it's a shame that he is not very known. Is it possible to download the pdf files of the music sheet ?
IMSLP has the score!
很高新认识你,Leclair。
谢谢你,Sissel,:)。
XDDDD it's fine to use English 🤣
Anyway, thanks w
@@SisselOnline Ha ha ha, it was an excuse to practise my Chinese, lol.
@@andresdaniel6711 lolol
Could you say please who plays that?
Forgot... Later check
Checked, Gwen Hoebig and Karl Stobbe.
Thank you!
It has always been agreat pleasure playing them. But who are the violinists here?
Gwen Hoebig and Karl Stobbe!
@@SisselOnline What a small world! I studied piano with Karl Stobbe's mother, and when I was a teenager I had a few violin lessons and masterclasses with Gwen Hoebig. I didn't know they had made this recording.
