I was (still kinda am) a poorass kid, we couldn't afford to get new games so I kept renting the crash games from the VideoEZ store over and over and over to the point where the dude running the shop just came over to me and said 'no one else is renting them, you can just have em'. I scored the first 3 games and Crash team racing. Best day ever.
It's not any harder than the original games, so that point is pretty unnecessary. It's not that the game is hard, it's that most modern games, save dark souls, have babied gamers and catered to impatience.
HARD? maybe crash bandicoot 1 with terrible save system. But 2,3 is easy (some levels are annoying but not hard.. crates diamond on plane levels were retarded idea.
Isn't it a little sad that as kids, you play the game and you're just like "whoa that's so cool" but now everyone has to nit-pick and look at all the negatives in every game. And we even insult people just cause of what games they like. Gaming was much simpler back then.
It felt weird completing 3 games in 4 days :D But it was the most fun and rage filled 4 days I've had in a long time :D Now I remember where it all went wrong for me, playing Crash Bandicoot as a kid will shorten your life spand with 10 years sure it's a kids game but some levels will give you a mental breakdown especially when you're one step from a Check Point and you screw up and you do the same mistake over and over or get killed by something else 17 times.
I'm only 15 years old, which means I was late to coming across the original play station, but when I was around 6 or 7 I went to this daycare in my neighborhood and they had a play station with only 4 games, the crash trilogy and spyro. I would play these games all the time and very much enjoyed them. Even though I was late to seeing crash in his prime it still makes me nostalgic hearing these sounds again.
Raymond Sipe i had A ummm. Oh shoot. it was a freakin Nintendo Wii. i did think about homebrewing it with crash but i never did. or was that mario 64. it was that or crash
I'm 16 lmao and I never really grew up on the original trilogy. I played Wrath of Cortex and Twinsanity first and I loved them. Years later when I was about 13 I purchased the original games on PS3 and I played and beat them all 100% and absolutely loved it. Naturally hearing that this collection wad coming, I was super excited and I pre ordered in a heartbeat. Playing it now, it's amazing and it really improved on the originals and is a must buy from me
I have so many memories about growing up with this game, being like 3 years old playing the original trilogy all day, loving the music, the enviromen and Crash himself This remaster feels like some kind of gift to me (cause i have to buy the game and a ps4 lol) so im getting this ASAP Good to know that it keeps most of the things that made it so memorable, hope to play it soon Greetings from Chile
I got the game today and I'm new to the games. I can say they are a lot of fun and I love how kooky it is. I really like it and can't wait to play more!
This is the first time I've ever played Crash and I can't help but love the difficulty of it. Not enough games do it anymore. It makes me feel more accomplished.
Cuphead, though not frustrating for me or even too hard (its hard, don't get me wrong), makes me feel satisfied after beating any boss in the game. Will crash do the same. Weird to be commenting 6 years later, but yeah
I grew up on Warped, I played it more than anything else as a kid and I LOVED it - but I never beat it. My parents didn't understand memory cards and so every time I hit the game over screen I had to start from the very beginning. I will _finally_ get to see the completion of a massive part of my childhood. I am very, very excited for this game.
themuffinlad lol I remember I was in your same situation when I was playing Crash Bandicoot 2. My parents finally bought me a memory card after about 6 hours of play and my PlayStation left switched on for one night. I managed to get to the warp room and refused to restart everything again. XD
I remember this, I woke up at 6:00 am to use the tv and the ps1 to play crash 2, like at 1pm i was finishing!, the desire of complete that game was huge! I love crash!
Oh my god lol you are bringing me back memories of my parents and I trying to figure out the memory cards on PsOne :') At first, I wasn't using it, I mean, why would I need a little piece of plastic. When I got to actually use it, I think I screwed up like, half of the time lol. I wasn't turning the game off all day to keep my progress because that was like the logical way for me ahahhaha good memories :')
themuffinlad my memory cards never worked for warped so every Saturday I wud finish the game and I still loved it after completing it hundreds of times
Made me sad when he said only the first game didn’t hold up well.. that’s my favorite one! Prob cuz it was my first and also the main one I played.. I played number 2 and yah it was better in some was more pleasing to look at but I played 2 like quick fast just burned threw it.. maybe played some of the good levels repeatedly but went threw it fast where was crash one I played frontwards backwards sideways and every way.. with friends by myself with my mom sometimes.. dam i miss my mom.. r.i.p
I remember waking up at 5 am in the morning when I was 4 or 5 years old just so I could play Crash Bandicoot, I was lucky enough to own all three games on my PS1 and I spent more hours than I could count playing these games, this Trilogy really brought back some of my fondest memories, that said, PS1 era games didn't fuck around, these games are hard as balls
Hahahah they are really hard. I remember as a kid my brother broke our big screen tv because he was so upset at falling off the ice bridge over and over🤣
Red Wizard Vicarious Visions has said they're very interested in doing Spyro, and Activision has said they are aware of the desire for it, so I can guarantee we'll get it in a couple years.
Crash Team Racing is my second favorite game of all time wish they would remaster that game to. And no it's not just a Mario Cart ripoff it's ten times better.
Arsen Garibyan Shit, I'd go even further and say remaster all of the good PS1 mascot platformers. Give me Spyro, but let's have Croc and Gex come back from the grave too. As a kid that had the PS1 and not the N64, I have way more nostalgia for those than I could ever have for Mario 64. Even if the jumping is ever so slightly off in Crash 1, I'm still having an amazing time with this set, and I'd love more of them.
My cousin had Crash Bandicoot 3 and we played it once on a trip to see family. My parents eventually got me a Playstation along with Crash Bandicoot 3 and ever since, I have been a Sony loyal fan.
The 360 received Crash rights after Naughty Dog sold them. This trilogy was Naughty Dog and was a PS1 exclusive, so you will not find the remake on any Xbox system.
This game came out when I was ten, than this awesome remake comes out now that I'm thirty and playing it with my kids! By the time I'm fifty, I'll be playing they remake of this remake with my grandkids, lol!😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
supahshadow9 as long as they don't mess with the movement. it might end up making 1 2 and 3 feel like they are like the later ones where you could fight and stuff. they could give all 3 spyro 2 movement that could be cool.
The Crash series holds a very special place in my heart. Before i actually played video games i used to watch my older sisters and cousins play video games. It was really fun just watching someone else play (which is why i totally understand the appeal of “let’s play” videos). But the time came when i played video games on my own. I was pretty young so there were games that were too complex or hard for me at the time. Crash bandicoot warped (the third game in the series) was the very first game i finished on my own. I then played the second game and then the first and finished those two. I then went on to playing spyro and other “deeper” games. I’m 26 years old now and i still play video games. I’ve played a lot of great games but the Crash series will always be the first game i ever finished on my own.
Douglas Ferrell Junior It's just annoying that I can't play the originals on ps4, I've still got crash 2-3 and a lot of other games like spyro gateway to glimmer but I don't have a working ps2 controller. Got a working ps1 controller but it lacks the analogue stick.
I'm glad they brought this back. Crash was thrown into the mud and the muck, hopeless and left to die. But it's like he picked himself up, dusted himself off and ran back to N sanity beach and relived his good old days. I have been Crash's fanboy since I was a kid, Wrath of Cortex was my last game before he started to fade in my eyes. But now Crash is back "Hey plumber boy, mustache man, your worst nightmare HAS RETURNED."
As a 21 year old I spent a notable amount of my childhood watching my neighbor's brother play through these games over and over again. Therefore I couldn't be more excited to be able to play them myself finally.
Whoever was at Gamestop simply didn't care for the trilogy in general, I don't know why they chose him to review it in the first place. I respect his opinion and Crash isn't for everyone, but I could still play the shit out of Cortex Strikes Back and Warped (the first game has aged terribly and I believe that's objective, but I still love it for nostalgia's sake).
Before I buy??! I would do, but it's fucking sold out everywhere 😑😑looks like they grossly underestimated just how much in demand these nostalgic gems would be.
Neo TricksterZero Thankfully I barely managed to pick up a physical copy the other day when I wasn't at work. The dude behind the counter told me that he only had a couple left, after RESTOCKING only a day or two earlier! It's absolutely ridiculous that the gaming retailers seemingly haven't stocked up on this game! Wtf did they think was going to happen? It's not like there wasn't any hype revolving around it prior to release.
Majority of customers are going digital (although considering the fact this game appeals mostly to older generations which would make sense to stock up on physical copies) so they probably figured a lot of people would just go to the console store/steam and get it there.
ok so my mom played the crap out of wrath of cortex before i was born and when i was about 5 it was raining outside and i said "mommy, is there anything for me to do inside?" and she went and pulled the old ps2 out of a closet. so now im like "what's this?" and she told me the about how that was all she used to do before i came along and she pulled out the wrath of cortex case and said i could play it. BOOM wrath of cortex was the first game i ever played and boy did i love it! about a year later i asked if there were any more games like that and she said yes, but they were on an older console. so for my birthday that year i asked for a ps1. just so happens my uncle had one and we got crash 1 and 2 off ebay or something i dont quite remember but the point is i had them and i still loved them 😂 so when i saw the N. sane trilogy was happening i pre ordered it so fast 😂
I use the directional buttons to play this game I find it much easier this way.. I feel like a child all over again playing this game always use to run home from school to play this game now I drive home from work to play it! Honestly will always be my favourite game franchise :)
Not a lot of platformers that kids play these days. People who were old enough to play crash when it first came out had a lot of platformer games, or games with levels that were designed in a similar aspect. Today its all about FPS, or RTS games, specially for esports for the modern gamers. Obviously there are other genres but you can meet a lot of gamers who dont do RPGs but play a game like LoL or call of duty all day, list goes on from there.
NehathSnauzbart You must have never played an old school platformer then. Try getting 100% completion in Crash 1. It will make your testicles explode in anger, that game was brutal in difficulty.
I love the fact there're few secrets throw around that 105% completion. When I discovered that I can jump back the cliff when done escaping boulder, or secret warp point in snowy or water ruin map, my childhood mind blown.
if they do they should add more maps, 17 is not enough. oh and make the bosses playable in adventure mode too. just replace whoever you're playing with with N. Tropy it works still and I just want to go through adventure mode with Pinstripe wildly firing his tommy gun into the air at every awards ceremony just like in the old country.
RxrGT Yup I said the same thing in my comment. Still excited but for $40 4 games would have been nice and CTR would have added a bit more variety also.
Yeah. Always liked it more than Mario Kart. Those shortcuts did need some skill to pull off. And there's no unfair blue shell. Instead, there's an electric ball that hits everyone ahead of the one who launches it.
No they don't everything that was made in the pass should stay there.... it would feel weird seeing the old games in hd, it's a such thing called just buying the original, why are ppl soo hooked on graphics
Technically this is a Remake. They didn't polish the old assets, they made new ones entirely on a new engine with the 1996 game as a ref to look back at.
I grew up playing Crash Bandicoot: Warped so when N.Sane Trilogy was announced, I was dead set on getting set the game. Never once doubted my choice, and always knew I'd feel happy playing it. Definitely the same thoughts with Jake on how the game might not appeal to modern gamers. If you grew up playing the later generation of games - late PS2, PS3/PS4 era, perhaps Crash Bandicoot is not a series that would evoke a sense excitement within you, unless your older siblings share them with you. In fact, Crash Bandicoot was like 17 years ago for me. I am now 24, I played it when I was 7, so you can really tell how way back this game goes. The game is designed to have a somewhat less fluid mechanic, everything has been polished but the gameplay is modernized instead of reworked. It's necessary in order to stay true to the game's nature of solving puzzles whilst creating that feeling of difficulty. Almost all Crash players will tell you the controls on racing/swimming/jet ski/ is clunky as fuck. The timing for each box jumps can sometimes put new players off but you'll be good if you stick around for a few tries. If you read reviews, Polygon is the only review that gave the remaster a 6/10 for reasons that the remaster didn't solve the old problems that the game has, particularly in its gameplay. While I agree the general fluidity could have been a bigger boon to drawing the younger crowd, giving it a 6/10 and and expecting the game be easier (or in their words - less frustrating) was just pure stupidity. We could probably expect a patch update in QoL fixing, but that the difficulty stays. Honestly though, playing this game just feels like the good old times. You don't buy N.Sane trilogy, download some massive file sizes and then feel like "Wait a minute, this is so different from the Crash Bandicoot I used to play!" The experience just feels like how you played it 17 years back, only with polished graphics and details. I will however say this, the remade BGM and voice effect upsets me. I still very much prefer the older version's BGM, and for those of you who know the game, you'll know how frustrated it is when you play Toad Village and deal with the knights who have trouble picking up their swords. Audio cues are a part of the game's puzzle solving elements, or at least overcoming obstacles. So I was definitely sad to see that Activision skimped on that part. But it's all good at the end of the day, the game is linear, its easy to pick up and easy to introduce to someone who doesn't have much gaming experience to begin with. This was the gateway console game for my sister now in her 30s when she was younger. She spent more hours playing Crash Bandicoot than I did and eventually moved on to Tomba 2. If nostalgia is what you seek, Activision doesn't disappoint. 8/10 is definitely a solid for this game.
This game was my 1st Crash Bandicoot game so I guess you can call me a "newbie" or whatever but the games were very enjoyable. I liked how to games got easier as they went on to make a more enjoyable experience but even the 1st game which was very hard I found very enjoyable and once I beat it, it felt very accomplishing. I'm definitely buying the 4th game.
I’m now in part one, won’t finish. Too frustrating. The controls are not on spot, lots of trial and error, and an outdated gemeover takes the fun out for me. Hope pt 2 and 3 have aged better.
I grew up on Crash Bandicoot. We lived in downtown Flint and it was to dangerous to go outside so I would sit and play this game on my ps1. This game literally shaped me into the geek I am today. When I found out that they were remastering, I sold my xbox one and bought a ps4.
I grew up on Crash Bandicoot I loved him and he made me become the fan of Naughty Dog that I am today but seeing this remastered I'm hyped to play it again
I've had fun watching my cousin who's never played them have a hard time and getting angry with the games and then I, the guy he beats in call of duty no mater how hard I try, picked up the controller and just walk through with only a dying once or twice. Now crossing my fingers for CTR and Spyro.
I grew up on crash. At my wedding one of the pictures was of me holding a PSone controller upside down while playing crash 1, it is my first game ever. Now I’m almost 30 and have a PC and am playing it because of game pass. And it absolutely feels off. I am still loving every minute of it!
I think I enjoyed Crash 1 the most when playing through N-Sane - Could just be that it's the one I've played least, but I love how coherent the story feels as you move across the islands instead of the boring level selectors of 2/3. It was also a fun challenge (~5 hours for me to finish the Crystals) that felt more like I needed skill to get through rather than just abusing powerups or the wider levels in 2/3. I love them all (I've played 30 hours and got the trilogy 2 weeks ago on steam), just felt surprised at the comment in the video of Crash 1 holding up the worst ^^.
Jacob Nelson I am betting it isn't exclusive because most PS4 exclusives have the "only on PlayStation" label on the game case, crash however is missing the label
I use to play Crash back when the PlayStation 1 came out. I was 4 years old but even remembering about it makes me feel old. my mum use to play with me as well, but now I get to sit back and watch the youth go through the original struggle I did. lol
I have been a crash fan since it came out. In fact, my PlayStation stopped working and I was sorely missing my Crash & Spyro, for our anniversary my man got me a ps1 & Ps2. Then I heard about the remaster and got ALL excited. Thank you for your post, I can't wait to dive in!
well they made a 3D Earthworm Jim after 2 and it failed so hard, so they never made an other sequal. There is a remake of 1 on ps3/360 i believe. You could even play it in multiplayer
+TheTommeke26 How did it fail?! I actually enjoyed playing this game back then, but I never played the first and the second game maybe that could be why I liked the 3D more?! Honestly, I'm not sure why people hate it. But you know what, I respect your opinion if you don't like it. I think it was one of the best platform games ever made!
I am really enjoying this remaster. My only complaint with it it, and it's not Vicarious' fault, they did a almost perfect job, is that the boss fights seem stupidly easy to me now. Unfortunately I believe the problem is that the boss fights were always this easy and they only used to be hard because I was just a little kid. Now I just need them to do the exact same thing with Spyro 1, 2, & 3.
I'm new to the series and I love this trilogy. Even for a young teen like me I still have fun trying to get all the gems and beating the clock to the end.
Game looks amazing, but plays almost exactly the same as I remember. Took me a while to get used to the feel of the controls again, but then I was in the swing of things. Also the loading times take me back to the PS1 days... lol. Still a great collection!
Sonic The Hedgehog 2 and Super Mario Bros was mainly what I grew with as a kid, so when I saw that they remastering Crash Bandicoot, I got excited. I haven't played the original three but I'm looking forward to it now. Keep up the good work!
While these games are really good Crash is not my actual childhood. Spyro holds the spot dear to my heart and if Sony would do a remaster/remake for the Spyro trilogy I would scream and throw all my money at them. Spyro also deserves to come back.
i barley remember being under the age of like 3 and id play crash on the GameCube and my mom loved the game and is the reason i bought the game, to relive old memories and almost started to cry seeing that i can play a game my mom loved today. makes me feel like im able to connect with her when shes no longer here anymore.
I'm an old piece of crap who had the first game, but my parents never bought me 2 or 3. So I just replayed the first one until I became obsessed with Spyro.
gabriel jimenez I've read somewhere that the developers were mostly fooling around and say complete gibberish and picked their favorite one 😂! WOODABOOGA *tututu*
A friend told me once that he says: "bodyguard" fast so it's more like "booodygard" but he could be wrong lol and the gents above me in the comment section are correct.
I’m a newcomer and I started playing a couple months ago and it’s awesome and addicting but some levels like road to nowhere makes it harder but I passed it!
Think your spot on with the review I'm 27 and played these as a kid and it's a great blast from the past nice to see they didn't destroy my memory of this game and spot on with the load screens a bit of a ball ache but you get used to it .. Just crack open a new beer every load screen 😁
Rhiannon Gray There is no jumping change. The jumping is the same, it's just that the engine is now 60fps or more, and that makes Crash either fall faster or not go further as before
now we just need ps4 version of the sly cooper trilogy....but only with original sucker punch games because in my opinion 4th game dont even deserve to get mentioned when talking about that franchise
Cereal - i played WOC recently - some levels took longer to load than the timetrial in them - and not the stopped time, the real time sued for that level. If you compare that to the other crash games that loaded levels withing seconds....
I bought a PS4 especially for this and I don’t regret it at all, reliving my childhood, I love it, just as challenging as I remember, so glad they didn’t mess with the difficulty
ive only played the wrath of cortex, twinsanity, tag team racing, and (i forgot the name but the one with the mutants😂... crash of the titans maybe?) so i can't wait to go back and try these out
Make Money Get Turnt I wish that we would get a Crash/Spyro/Ratchet and Clank/ Jax and Dexter game as the culmination of the best plataformers from the 90s/2000
Glad they took the time to do this right and with such heart and respect. Having missed this when it was current they are a blast to play now, tho warning some sections are hard and controlling cracking insane :). Ty for the spotlight on this title.
WOAH

Tatted up jay Jay Same here buddy! xD
Rinoa Heartilly wow you're gorgeous do u have IG????😍💚
You forgot to mention that, despite the game being simple, it's ridiculously HARD and gets frustrating.
It's not any harder than the original games, so that point is pretty unnecessary. It's not that the game is hard, it's that most modern games, save dark souls, have babied gamers and catered to impatience.

That's the fun
oREEEanna SOMEONE GETS IT OMG
Otaku Gamer I أوتاكو قيمر it's like the dark souls of platformers

Kev27RS yes please!! I used to looove Crash Bash. So many memories :)
I really hope that if it is successful, they potentially add on Crash Team Racing as a DLC or Standalone release. That was my Mario Kart as a kid haha
Samsquanch8716 same I have so many memories...
of my older brother beating my ass
Samsquanch8716 that's actually my favourite Crash game and Kart racing game.
Samsquanch8716 and hopefully after that they make new great crash games
Samsquanch8716 ikr❤
crash bash as well
this is how remasters/reboot should be done. it kept all the elements that kept it great with a visual facelift + extra stuff
Agreed.
mrfuzzyibrows true but again activision needs money and the rumor is they will release a PlayStation to other platform.
Raveen Bikha That would be like releasing a Mario game on the XBox or releasing a Halo game on the PS.
so hold up activision owns the first 3 crash even tho naughty dog made them?
mrfuzzyibrows AKA what robomodo didn't do when they made Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD
ffs I was mad this whole video because he didn't collect all the boxes
Gangsta ASMR IKR
Gangsta ASMR He also spinned some wumpa fruit away. I hated when I did that.
Gangsta ASMR I hate people like you
so can we say you were N.Sane
You cant really start collecting regular gems till the third island anyways. You gotta get the colores ones and then back track.
It felt weird completing 3 games in 4 days :D But it was the most fun and rage filled 4 days I've had in a long time :D Now I remember where it all went wrong for me, playing Crash Bandicoot as a kid will shorten your life spand with 10 years sure it's a kids game but some levels will give you a mental breakdown especially when you're one step from a Check Point and you screw up and you do the same mistake over and over or get killed by something else 17 times.
this and spyro were my shit when i was little. im getting this from amazon tomorrow and its good to know they did well with it
John O'Than if they Remake spyro to i buy a ps4...
John O'Than spyro was my life.
Fuckingg hell i loved sypro
They should remaster CTR and Crash Bash. That would be sick
Boosted
Yes, I played CB so much when I was young, I almost beat it and Crash games are almost impossible
I would love to see a ctr remastered from the ground up, with online play and achievements
I still have my CB saved in my memory card, me and my friend used to play it all the time and we've almost beat it
Boosted crash bash multiplayer would be amazing
Boosted 100% agreed!!!
"i had so many memories as a young shit playing it"
I read that at the same time he said it , WOAH
I'm only 15 years old, which means I was late to coming across the original play station, but when I was around 6 or 7 I went to this daycare in my neighborhood and they had a play station with only 4 games, the crash trilogy and spyro. Lucky mate! I had Smash Bros for the N64 and Ocarina of Time at my daycare!
Raymond Sipe i had A ummm. Oh shoot. it was a freakin Nintendo Wii. i did think about homebrewing it with crash but i never did. or was that mario 64. it was that or crash
Luke Rislove I have the EXACT same story as you 😂😂😂. Same age same everything 😂😂😂. Only 40 more mins to go till I can play
You're so damn lucky and I'm happy you get to experience such lovely feelings.
I'm 16 lmao and I never really grew up on the original trilogy. I played Wrath of Cortex and Twinsanity first and I loved them. Good to know that it keeps most of the things that made it so memorable, hope to play it soon
Greetings from Chile
I got the game today and I'm new to the games. I can say they are a lot of fun and I love how kooky it is. I really like it and can't wait to play more!
Man that makes me happy to hear! I have been wondering how people new to the series would like Crash
Just bought the game too but haven't played it yet so I'm hoping I feel the same way
Piplup just wait until you get stuck and spend hours of fustration on a section losing 30+ lives :). still fun

I only had warped but idc coz its the best
themuffinlad my memory cards never worked for warped so every Saturday I wud finish the game and I still loved it after completing it hundreds of times
Spyro remaster! Please! I will pay anything!
The levels look absolutely gorgeous.
Only crash game i played was Wrath of Cortex. Good graphics and i lived in that game. Probably gonna buy this now!
Wrath of cortex was so underrated
@@Skillica factual
Crash of the Titans gave me a lot of fun as a Child
Loved the Crash of Titans I hear it a lot of people did though?
I remember as a kid my brother broke our big screen tv because he was so upset at falling off the ice bridge over and over🤣
We need Spyro now.
Red Wizard; I heard we just might get it!
Red Wizard Vicarious Visions has said they're very interested in doing Spyro, and Activision has said they are aware of the desire for it, so I can guarantee we'll get it in a couple years.
The original Spyro ps1 games though
Red Wizard I would fucking explode if they remastered the original Spyro games. Oh my god I can't even imagine.
With wipeout collection this and the final fantasy VII remake, I think I'll have a nostalgia overload in my pants if that happens
Crash Team Racing is my second favorite game of all time wish they would remaster that game to.
And no it's not just a Mario Cart ripoff it's ten times better.
Kasper Haupt Truth.
Kasper Haupt SO MUCH YES
I would rather get a new game instead of a remake after another remake.
But would it be as good? But at least it would be fresh I guess
They said they would dependent on the success.
Spyro would be a badass remastered game and if you played crash then you definitely played spyro
Fuckin PREEEAACHHH!! Spyro baby!!!
The first Spyro was my favorite game as a kid
Missing ONE GEM is UNACCEPTABLE. xd Spyro is my boi.
The new Spyro game comes out September 2018 for Play Station Super awesome looking
My cousin had Crash Bandicoot 3 and we played it once on a trip to see family. My parents eventually got me a Playstation along with Crash Bandicoot 3 and ever since, I have been a Sony loyal fan.
jermster17 ME TOO HAHA!
they have crash bandicoot on the 360 tho too.
but.... wait wut?
The 360 received Crash rights after Naughty Dog sold them. This trilogy was Naughty Dog and was a PS1 exclusive, so you will not find the remake on any Xbox system.
Steven Kaiser wrong, the rights belong to Activision.
NOW BRING BACK SPYRO
Frb01 n Spyro 2 was the best!!
Frb01 n sry but they sold it 17 years ago :(
they better keep all the glitches and cheat codes too.
this before u buy was N. sanely useful imma pick this up tommrow
N. Sane pun there!
LakoTheCommenter
This is getting N. noyying now
lol same
BAtube is this N.oyying
u lame kid
This game came out when I was ten, than this awesome remake comes out now that I'm thirty and playing it with my kids! By the time I'm fifty, I'll be playing they remake of this remake with my grandkids, lol!😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
me 2
I mostly grew up on the PS2 games, but I did play the original trilogy multiple times
Brady Ward you and so many others (my self included) had an awesome time XD
It'sdatdude :3 I know right. I turned 18 this year and I completed the original trilogy when I was 5 back in 2004.
i had crash nitro kart but i never couldn't finish it,maybe because one of the reasons is i couldn't stop playing battlefront
Now we need Spyro.
supahshadow9 same here
I would love to see spyro trilogy remastered from the ground up. Spyro 3 especially as it's my personal favourite
Yes!
supahshadow9 as long as they don't mess with the movement. it might end up making 1 2 and 3 feel like they are like the later ones where you could fight and stuff. they could give all 3 spyro 2 movement that could be cool.
i highly doubt we will ever see a spyro remastered that license has been riped to shreds and then crewed up into a little ball and riped up again
Gameranx, you're N sanely awesome
I live for this
bless you
Papa bless
k
Alright, walk yourself out.
ok that's enough of that
The Crash series holds a very special place in my heart.
What sick and twisted psychopath would not break all the crates. I'm fucking N. Sanely triggered.
It disgusts me to my core
Ha ha ha Haqua
word
I'm glad I still have my original PlayStation and the Crash Bandicoot Games. My favorite is Crash Racing.
you are a cool person.
Same here. I'm thankful we took good care of our PS1 and PS1 games.
Douglas Ferrell Junior crash nitro kart
Yes.
But now Crash is back
"Hey plumber boy, mustache man, your worst nightmare HAS RETURNED."
Lakker94 that plumber better run because the king is back to reclaim his thrown
As a 21 year old I spent a notable amount of my childhood watching my neighbor's brother play through these games over and over again. Therefore I couldn't be more excited to be able to play them myself finally.
Way better than the gamespot review. Thanks.
Some people say it butchered some of the charm the ps1 CB games had.
I played the first game for the first time a few months ago and I liked it. I liked how it was simple and highly focused.
jerk store than*
jerk store and IGN
Before I buy??! I would do, but it's fucking sold out everywhere 😑😑looks like they grossly underestimated just how much in demand these nostalgic gems would be.
May just be your area. All my local stores game stores or not, still have copies left.
Emperor Reign buy digital
Emperor Reign I was working on release date, it's literally sold out everywhere In my town
BOOM wrath of cortex was the first game i ever played and boy did i love it! about a year later i asked if there were any more games like that and she said yes, but they were on an older console. so for my birthday that year i asked for a ps1. just so happens my uncle had one and we got crash 1 and 2 off ebay or something i dont quite remember but the point is i had them and i still loved them 😂 so when i saw the N. sane trilogy was happening i pre ordered it so fast 😂
needless to say, i need a Wrath of Cortex remaster
Bac0n_Pancake5 same bro, same
damn i love this story :D you have an awesome mom
Bac0n_Pancake5 ikr i loved woc
PorygonZ done, thanks for pointing that out 😂😂😂
I use the directional buttons to play this game I find it much easier this way.. I feel like a child all over again playing this game always use to run home from school to play this game now I drive home from work to play it! Honestly will always be my favourite game franchise :)
Ok now Spyro the Dragon needs the same treatment!
No Micro-transactions to obtain crystals or Lives?
Amazing.
If they add them i'm blaming you :P
CD Projekt Red, is using Trevor Something - Fade Away in their upcoming game CYBERPUNK 2077.
Oink ards welcome back to games from the 90's XD
Oink ards crystals? pfffttt
There shouldn't be Before you Buy for this 😑
please change the title to... You Must Buy 😃
Kelvin Seah True. The only reason I'm not is cause I suck at old games like this lol. I'm more of a modern day gamer.
Timothy 1395 i dont see how someone can suck at this
Ikr! I have it preordered on the store 2 months now. I'm hoping to play it tonight 😃
GIVE US SPYRO DAMN IT
I've been saying this for years!!
That would need some serious work to be remastered the controls would suck otherwise!
You don't need spyro
If you think Spyro is the worst you have objectively shit taste in games.
IIRC it's on it's way!
I love the fact there're few secrets throw around that 105% completion. When I discovered that I can jump back the cliff when done escaping boulder, or secret warp point in snowy or water ruin map, my childhood mind blown.
Now all I want is a CTR remastered to the ps4!
the real chill with friends in a couch game XD
if they do they should add more maps, 17 is not enough. oh and make the bosses playable in adventure mode too. just replace whoever you're playing with with N. Tropy it works still and I just want to go through adventure mode with Pinstripe wildly firing his tommy gun into the air at every awards ceremony just like in the old country.
CTR Online! That would compete to good with MK
I remember playing Crash only once unfortunately. But now Imma pick it up and play endlessly. Looks like a lot of fun!!!
TheTruth same
Crash 2 is something my little brother and dad were stuck on for a whole summer 😂
Me I’m stuck on the last warped room
They need to remake all the best original ps1 games
No they don't everything that was made in the pass should stay there.... it would feel weird seeing the old games in hd, it's a such thing called just buying the original, why are ppl soo hooked on graphics
Tashi it would not be weird seeing older games in hd
It's stupid tho, all u paying for is graphics, it's the same game and crash bandicoot is amazing as is
Tashi I want better graphics
U not a real gamer then
Now THIS is a REMASTER.
Technically this is a Remake.
They didn't polish the old assets, they made new ones entirely on a new engine with the 1996 game as a ref to look back at.
FromFame Well a lot of work was put into it to make it great compared to other remasters and remakes such as Assassins Creed the Ezio Collection
Graphic .J Now that's a supply drop.
Jason Emanuel Lee Crash Twinsanity was my first video game and I played the crap out of it
Jason Emanuel Lee I was jumping knowing Crash was returning
Jason Emanuel Lee
This game was my 1st Crash Bandicoot game so I guess you can call me a "newbie" or whatever but the games were very enjoyable. I liked how to games got easier as they went on to make a more enjoyable experience but even the 1st game which was very hard I found very enjoyable and once I beat it, it felt very accomplishing. I'm definitely buying the 4th game.
I’m now in part one, won’t finish. Too frustrating. The controls are not on spot, lots of trial and error, and an outdated gemeover takes the fun out for me. Hope pt 2 and 3 have aged better.
The spyro demo in crash 3 is missing...
:'(
rezaka116 I think they will add it, because if you add the Konami code under crash 3 the cursor disappears...
rezaka116 what do.you mean
chat noir in Crash 3 there was a demo for Spyro the Dragon
There was a cheat code like the konami code where you can play a demo of Spyro in Crash 3
Bruh this was my shit when I was lil!! Spyro, Crash, Ratchet and clank, jack and dexter were all my fav games growin up!!
mayhemlolz all of those games were amazing, I hope they remaster some spyro games also
mayhemlolz same except spyro
I didn't have it
I started gaming in the PS2 era playing Naruto, DBZ, Star wars Battlefront and Spiderman!
Tommy Wiseau me too
Can’t wait for this to come out. I grew up playing all the crash games on ps1. Watching this brings back so many memories. Finally a good remake
I grew up on Crash Bandicoot. We lived in downtown Flint and it was to dangerous to go outside so I would sit and play this game on my ps1. This game literally shaped me into the geek I am today. When I found out that they were remastering, I sold my xbox one and bought a ps4.
Ashton Lee really omg so much dedication 😀👍good job 👍
Dude you have a backstory. That's fucking adorable.
+Ashton Lee I respect you so much.
Ashton Lee amazing dude just amazing
+Ashton Lee, you must have had decent parents...I fucking ran all over Flint. Then I finally left and still haven't gone back. Never will.
Eggsnbaconbits same!
I grew up on crash. At my wedding one of the pictures was of me holding a PSone controller upside down while playing crash 1, it is my first game ever. Now I’m almost 30 and have a PC and am playing it because of game pass. And it absolutely feels off. I am still loving every minute of it!
The nostalgia made my game CRASH
I see what you did there ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Ellis B You already got one good comment don't push it
Ellis B lul
Lauri Ihalainen I'LL BREAK THE SYSTEM
Ellis B cringe
If an apple a day keeps the doctor away, then crash will live for eons.
Xbizzare but those aren't apples they are wumpa fruits
TheKNIGHTELFMOHAWK I've been living a lie my whole life
Don't worry, they fooled all of us. Some of us just found out earlier than others.
I used to think they were peaches. lol
it's ok i thought it was a mango my whole life until they announced the remasters and i had to doublecheck my facts : )))))
remake syphon filter next please! Using the taser 24/7 to set ppl on fire was....Lit
I_Need_Pants no
Syphon filter was killed of with later games, it ended at 3
never
You played the PSP games? those were awesome
yes, it was awesome fun. The franchise of my childhood.
Just watching the gameplay makes me happy. Nostalgia is the real opium of the people. Can't help it.
I'm sad they didn't bring CTR too. I can just hope they release it as DLC :(
They could bring Crash Bash too, it was such a fun Co-op game.
dlc lmfao
I've been playing since the beginning but some of the later games are my favorites honestly, like twinsanity and the wrath of cortex
Serg twinsanity was really good
Twinsanity was the shit back in the day! Me and my bro played the hell out of it
crash is my childhood ♡
Same ❤️
My childhood crashed
_"Before You Buy"_
too late
Yolodrol yep
Yolodrol S A M E
love long Yep
Same Same Same!
Bought about 23 seconds into the vid
Crash team racing next!
ow hell yeah that shit would rivals mario's
Ramuel Rosales and crash bash
Ramuel Rosales I prefer crash tag team racing, if they remade that with better visuals I would buy 10 of them
Ramuel Rosales nah crash nitro kart was 10x better
I really want to see Crash Team Racing but with some extra tracks added inspired by the series.
This really upsets me being a Xbox gamer, love Crash. These look awesome but the one they must remaster is Crash Team Racing. Best game ever!
I think Sony said this was a timed exclusive and a retailer recently listed this game for Xbox one in December
DrRosenburge
Sony said nothing
Activsion said nothing
These are only speculation
Criminal Potatoe it's true it is timed and it was recently leaked deal with it
Jacob Nelson I am betting it isn't exclusive because most PS4 exclusives have the "only on PlayStation" label on the game case, crash however is missing the label
Literally CTR stuck with me more than the trilogy.
I use to play Crash back when the PlayStation 1 came out. I was 4 years old but even remembering about it makes me feel old. my mum use to play with me as well, but now I get to sit back and watch the youth go through the original struggle I did. lol
loving this remastered. 96... damn.... over 20 years ago. memories :)
werthy is my name i diddnt came for such feels
*remake
before you buy: just buy it, it's Crash
+Horny Aleks First? I mean video games had been going strong for decades before Crash came out.
So the Aleks' have migrated away to other channels lmao
if I wanted it I'd go buy a ps1 again
Fear Kratos Or use an emulator...
Well no. I don't think anybody would think that with Crash Boom Bang , Titans or Mind over Mutant.
The crash is my favourite games of all time
I have been a crash fan since it came out. In fact, my PlayStation stopped working and I was sorely missing my Crash & Spyro, for our anniversary my man got me a ps1 & Ps2. Then I heard about the remaster and got ALL excited. Thank you for your post, I can't wait to dive in!
I wanna see this done with Earthworm Jim! What happend with that character?
Great Review! As a hardcore fan to, I'll buy a PS4 just for this...
Video KanjiClub same with me. well and war thunder
well they made a 3D Earthworm Jim after 2 and it failed so hard, so they never made an other sequal.
Video KanjiClub FUCK YEAH
Earthworm Jim 3...is what happened.
Oh! Oh! And call it: Spyro The Blazing Trilogy. :D
Fangirl97 Nope; instead they called it "Spyro: reignited trilogy."
Now if they bring Wrath of Cortex back on the PS4 store and remaster Crash Tag Team Racing then i'm all set.
Tag Team Racing, god I loved that game.
Although the Crash fanbase seemed to kind of dislike it.
Einamu エイナム honestly thought the platforming felt pointless. really loved the racing parts though.
i love that you can play as coco in the first two after you beat the first boss.
I'm new to the series and I love this trilogy. Even for a young teen like me I still have fun trying to get all the gems and beating the clock to the end.
crash bandicoot was one of the first games i beat ;( oh the memories
Game looks amazing, but plays almost exactly the same as I remember. Took me a while to get used to the feel of the controls again, but then I was in the swing of things. Also the loading times take me back to the PS1 days... lol. Still a great collection!
Andres Ulloa worth it
Sonic The Hedgehog 2 and Super Mario Bros was mainly what I grew with as a kid, so when I saw that they remastering Crash Bandicoot, I got excited.
Sir Lexion Yeaah I played Spyro with my friend 6 hours daily but his PS 1broke and that was the end :(
I played both
Destroying Productions pc ass switch back
Sir Lexion never played Spyro, so just like you it doesn't hold a place in my heart. unlike crash it holds a place in deep.
HdoggGaming No one asked
The day Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy comes out it’s going to be my birthday
Superstar2525 happy Birthday/happy birthday in advance (depending where you live) how old are you turning?
Happy Birthday
Superstar2525 That happened with Final Fantasy 15 for me😭
Francis Kalukal hi I am turning 11 and also can u subscribe to me for my bday
Superstar2525 you just got your self a new subscriber.
looks incredible. A great and well executed remaster :)
i barley remember being under the age of like 3 and id play crash on the GameCube and my mom loved the game and is the reason i bought the game, to relive old memories and almost started to cry seeing that i can play a game my mom loved today. makes me feel like im able to connect with her when shes no longer here anymore.
I'm an old piece of crap who had the first game, but my parents never bought me 2 or 3. So I just replayed the first one until I became obsessed with Spyro.
it's been 20 years and I still don't know what Aku says on pickup...
Oobidagah!
gabriel jimenez I've read somewhere that the developers were mostly fooling around and say complete gibberish and picked their favorite one 😂! WOODABOOGA *tututu*
A friend told me once that he says: "bodyguard" fast so it's more like "booodygard" but he could be wrong lol and the gents above me in the comment section are correct.
+ioi1989 sounds to me like "boogadub"
Burdiga
I’m a newcomer and I started playing a couple months ago and it’s awesome and addicting but some levels like road to nowhere makes it harder but I passed it!
Think your spot on with the review I'm 27 and played these as a kid and it's a great blast from the past nice to see they didn't destroy my memory of this game and spot on with the load screens a bit of a ball ache but you get used to it .. Just crack open a new beer every load screen 😁
I find the jumping change to be a pain in the ass but love the game. Used to play it on ps1 and played it on an emulator until this version came out
Rhiannon Gray There is no jumping change. The jumping is the same, it's just that the engine is now 60fps or more, and that makes Crash either fall faster or not go further as before
i cant even tell the difference maybe you just need to git good
now we just need ps4 version of the sly cooper trilogy....but only with original sucker punch games because in my opinion 4th game dont even deserve to get mentioned when talking about that franchise
LEGENDARY IceMan I agree, but bring in the 4th one as well, eh? It wasn't as bad as some people say.
Lauri Ihalainen i didnt like the ending....it should have been made by Sucker Punch
and Jak and Daxter, sly cooper and jak and daxter were my entire childhood.
LEGENDARY IceMan I loved sly 4
LEGENDARY IceMan true. the 4th is shitty asf
looking at the gameplay I just realized how many things from crash where put into Jak and Daxter :D
Twinsanity is decent.
Wrath of cortex is a loading-screen emulator.
Cereal - i played WOC recently - some levels took longer to load than the timetrial in them - and not the stopped time, the real time sued for that level.
If you compare that to the other crash games that loaded levels withing seconds....
I bought a PS4 especially for this and I don’t regret it at all, reliving my childhood, I love it, just as challenging as I remember, so glad they didn’t mess with the difficulty
ive only played the wrath of cortex, twinsanity, tag team racing, and (i forgot the name but the one with the mutants😂... crash of the titans maybe?) so i can't wait to go back and try these out
brad mcdonald I've played and completed the first 3 crash games and I guarantee that you are going to have a blast with these games.
This looks great, but if this does well, I'm hoping we'll get a new game instead of more remakes.
Make Money Get Turnt secreat agent clanck remake
Make Money Get Turnt I wish that we would get a Crash/Spyro/Ratchet and Clank/ Jax and Dexter game as the culmination of the best plataformers from the 90s/2000
Title: Before you buy
Me: *just gets the game in ps5 ps plus collection
Glad they took the time to do this right and with such heart and respect. Having missed this when it was current they are a blast to play now, tho warning some sections are hard and controlling cracking insane :). Ty for the spotlight on this title.
