Great Video!!!!!!!!! This has help me out today at the Gym. Been working on some projects that for some reason. I can not do, but today I did all of them. Because of the tips I got from this Video.
I've always thought gastons were exactly as this video described. I recently heard from a very reliable climber that a true gaston is when the elbow and pushing force is directed upward. Can someone provide a bit of clarity on this? Much appreciated!
A gaston is a reverse sidepull, excactly as in this video. Never heard or read or saw it any other way. So, you mean if you grab a high undercling the other way? That would be gastoning the undercling ;) There is no "true" or "false" gaston. Probably the climber was just kidding or messing with you, or it is his or her personal opignion.
great video! something besides the "crimp, pinch, and sloper" most everyone else focuses on.
Great movie, REI! Well edited -> easy to understand. Thanks!
