Thank you for making this video 🎮👍🏻 very useful... specially for Beginners who are hesitant about whether or bot to buy the Oculus V.R. Kit. This allows anyone to first make a small demo, see if they like Unity V.R. GameDev, and then: decide to go for it! 😄
Hi and thanks for the lesson. I have a problem that my probes are not moving like you show. The front part of the red line moves with the back end in the game view. The line does not foreshorten and it rotates in one piece.
@@immersiveinsiders yes I did that as well. I followed everything exactly as mentioned in your video, but I am unable to grab because of which I am unable to complete with the rest of the video. I want to complete this project. Please help ☹️
@@EmpoweredLady if you followed it in the same way then it should have worked. Just make sure that the colliders on your controllers are big enough, check the radius parameter of the colliders. Also, I am talking about the colliders on the LeftHand and RightHand controllers and not the Sphere.
@@immersiveinsiders Figured it out! It's not mentioned in the video but I have now added XR DIRECT INTERACTOR component to both LeftHand & RightHand Controller. Now it's working.
Todo iba bien hasta 13:32 donde la flojera de no mover la superposicion de la camara tapo los detalles de la configuracion. Que aunque bien explicado, no se ve realmente que estas haciendo y de hecho no funciona al momento de agarrar objetos.
Maybe the key bindings have changed. You can refer to this document: docs.unity3d.com/Packages/com.unity.xr.interaction.toolkit@3.0/manual/xr-device-simulator-overview.html
At: 13:53 and 14:02, add the XR Direct Interactor component as well.
Thanks for tha blog as well bro.
I've been learning only with the simulator so far.
You are welcome :)

Yes, that's how I learnt and started with VR Development as well. Later on, I bought the headset.

is there a way to tell from code whether a headset is attached and dynamically enable/disable the device simulator?
Well explained! I was able to follow up exactly as you explained but I am unable to grab the objects, no matter how much I try. Please guide.
Hey! make sure you have the "Is Trigger" parameter checked on collider component of your Left and Right Controller.

did i do something worng?
Do i need to know c sharp for VR development
It would be really helpful if you know C#! If not you can learn visual scripting.
Its not working on Mac. What can i do for that?
Sadly it does not work on Mac. You'll have to wait till Unity fixes it.
have you fixed it? I also couldn't grab the sphere either. I'm sure that I followed all instructions of the video.
i couldnt move forward/backward
