And to think Figma is still releasing tiny anime girl figures for quite nearly the same price as this big ass robot. It's ridiculous, lol. Awesome review, was very curious how this thing looked in person.
To think I could get an Anime Girl from a series I've never heard of for $30 cheaper than this thing is quite wild lol

I think the one and Only missed opportunity in this thing is the lower leg joint, I get why the knee-like point of articulation could not be made invertible/reversible without spoiling the piston articulation aspect, but if the long bar that connects to the middle leg portion was just a little shorter in the back... Or could slide up and down like the game model can... then it would open up an option for some even crazier leg positioning shenanigans for people like me who wants to make the emmi pull off some general grevious style feet grappling moves or reach up and scratch the back of its own head or other such things.
It's hardly a damning flaw but given all the effort they put in taking this figure up past 11 it does count against it juuuust a little in my book. Only a little though.

Mine arrived earlier today and it seems to be making a worrying rattle sound right out of the box... Does yours do that?
That rattle is from the leg pistons, if you hold them in place you'll hear a difference. I think that's just them being loose so the knee bend isn't a risky breakage point.

In the game, I really hate this robot.
Yeah, they really knew how to grind your gears with these things.
But after a couple playthroughs... it got a bit easier. Only a bit.
Yeah, almost a foot of pure figma.
I didn't get the samus one (now is expensive as hell, of plz help, i what her) but man, this one is almost perfect.
Loved Metroid dread.
Start to finish, great little game.

It does feel overly and unnecessarily large, but the more I think about it, it feels more like a good thing than a bad thing.

120 usd? you need to start buying from japanese websites. as rule of thumb, avoid buying directñy from GSC shop lol
It was much better than where I usually shop, to be honest. Base price was a bit lower. But shipping would’ve only come out to around the same or more.
I also just kinda jumped at first listing, because I missed Samus by a few hours for the Japanese release lol
