Awesome inspirational video. I’ll be re-watching this one and hopefully get to my two bins of stuff from grandmas, aunts, great aunts mother and mother-in-law!❤
This is so interesting that when the algorithm suggested it again, I watched it again.

Hello from Kansas 🌻 - Kelly is awesome!
The best! Thank you. :)
Experience tells. I’ve just inherited my mum in laws vintage linens. They’re beautiful. I hope I can do them justice.
Love Kelly Cline!!! Fabulous lady, excellent teacher, wonderful friend!!!! I've learned so very much from her. She is my inspiration!!!!
Wow...what talent!!! I don't have a long arm quilter, but you have given me some ideas for the hundreds of vintage linens & handkerchiefs I've collected over the years. Nothing but time...
Thank you for the wealth of information.
Kelly, Thank you so much for the information on quilting heirloom hankies and doilies. At the end it made me cry as I’m picturing my grandmother’s hand work and what I would love to do.
I have never seen anything so beautiful 😍,I have quite a stash of linens some from family that have passed and some from second hand shops now we could be in lock down for sometime a new project thank you.😜🙏
Love this, it is so good to see these two lovely ladies showing and teaching us.
I collect antique linens too, particularly hankies. I use them rather than kleenex in my purse and they look so pretty when you take them out and other ladies have said they were going to use the hankies they have. Perhaps they were made by their moms, aunts and grandmas.
I tat, crochet and embroider and I treasure pieces I’ve found.
Thank you for rescuing these lovely pieces and turning them into works of art!❤️❤️❤️❤️
I have so much vintage and you gave me a solution. Thank you!
That was the best quilting I've seen, Thank you for sharing 🌸
I have never thought of making a mini quilt of the ones I give away. I am going to make one from now on - even if it's just one block to remind me of the pattern and fabric I used. Thanks for the great idea.
I really enjoyed your show. It was one of the best tutorials I have found. I even learned a few new things. God's blessing to you all and your family's.
All I can say is WOW! This is so beautiful - I am just blown away by your exquisite work. Thank you so much for sharing your talent!
This video is so inspirational for me! I love vintage linens and the thought that goes into making such beautiful pieces!
Awesome work. Now I know what to do with my mother's handkerchiefs 💕
this was wonderful ty ladies
oh my goodness ! Thank you so much !
Wow. This was so inspiring. I have a suitcase full of treasures crocheted by my grandmother, great grandmother and great Aunts. I'm going to have buy some practice pieces and then get those out of the suitcase. Thank you so much!
Thanks Lori! Hope you'll give it a try!
Lori Merjil wonderful!
Loved this show. Thank you Kelly for showing your process on the longarm, you've given me important tips and guidance to help me with my own longarm work. Very helpful. Love your work.
Thanks Lesley!
What a wonderful video. So inspiring, cant wait to go shopping at the local second hand stores. I think I am gonna have a new love.
Thanks Karen! Shopping is half the fun!
i love all the info on vintage quilting of hankies ,doilies, and quilt tops
Thanks Linda!
WOW, just so inspiring and so pretty!!! Loved it, thank you so much for making this available to view...
Thanks Bonnie!
Really enjoyed looking and drooling at all your work on your website .. So talented, just stunning work and no wonder you've won awards... WOW!!
Thank you Kelly! Your work is inspiring! I have a Sweet 16 and think the techniques would be very doable, at least I'm going to try. I also have a love for old textile and have collected old French crocheted lace. I am will have to find more now!
It is doable. I also teach on sit down machines. Of course, it's the same, but different :) You basically do the same things, but I spray baste almost everything or use Hobbs fusible batting.
I like the vintage patina of old linen. While I wash, the only time I soak is if there are stains.
In the small holes I have seen a small flower or design to cover the small hole
Wow, that was amazing. You really need to have a lot of patience to do that.
BTW did you ever fix the last month live program? The last section was not even with the audio.
Thanks!
Beautiful!! Do you have any suggestions for doing something with embroiderd pillowcases? Dresser scrafs?
Hi Linda, so many options!! Join my Facebook group, Quilting Vintage! and scroll through photos. You'll get some great ideas! Pillows, quilts, pincushions, placemats, you name it! Anything can be made from them!
JUST IM A 'COLLECTOR' AS WELL- I HAVE BOUGHT OLD EMBROIDERY AT OUR HOSPITAL THRIFT STORE;AND TURNED IT INTO BAGS FOR CHRISTMAS GIFTS!--
I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I wish you had gotten to the edge treatments especially the ones where you don't have a contrasting frame around them and no binding. How do you just end with the linen piece?
There are a variety of ways to finish these vintage pieces including framing them. You can add lace, a binding, or attach them to another fabric. Check Kelly's website to view pieces she has finished.
Hi Jean, so many possibilities! I frame many of them. Some get a binding, finish as a pillow, make into a tote bag, etc. Yes, follow me at Kelly Cline Quilting on FB or my website for lots of ideas!
Fantastic video and lots of wonderful ideas! One thing I'm wondering though is that I've heard so many people say that machine quilting a vintage item reduces the value; but, this looks like it would actually enhance it. What are your thoughts?
Thanks Sheila! Most pieces that I use do not have value. They can be readily found for just a few dollars at antique stores. Sadly, the market is soft for these types of linens. Not to say that there aren't some valuable pieces, but I wouldn't quilt those few. For the most part, I believe machine quilting enhances most things. That's completely my opinion, but if you are finishing something for your own use, do whatever strikes your fancy! It's the way I roll ;)
Where can I get a glide foot?
Your nearest Handi Quilter retailer will have them at their store or you can find them on our website. handiquilter.me/?s=glide+foot&post_type=product
Vintage fabrics: don't wash silk. Soaking solution: Biz is identical, and do use distilled water.
What is a pro-stitcher?
It is the computer portion of the long arm.

Lots of good tips but I wish the blond lady hadn't interrupted so much.
