Unfortunately the camera is way too close to really see the projects, we see mostly you (not meant unkind) but I’d like to see more of the full linen project. Also music is unnecessary and loud. On a brighter note, I love your channel and I’m a new subscriber. Thank you, Theresa
Using them for screens is so brilliant, love all your ideas. I’m guessing your Mom will love the sailboats made with driftwood and cut-up handkerchiefs.
Back in the 80’s while antique hunting on vacation in the desert, my husband and I were blessed to find several boxes filled with incredible vintage handmade quilts, doilies, linens of every kind, embroidered and crocheted dresser scarves and pillowcases. Huge score! I’ve displayed some of it, but sorry to say most has been stored in the linen closet all these years. I need more ideas! Can you do a follow-up please? Help! 💕
I love vintage linens! Doilies and hankeys are my favorite though. Oooo and pretty embroidered pillow cases are so fun!!! I like to use colorful sheets over the clothes line to make tents. I love all these ideas, especially the boat!
@@SheHoldsDearly my cousins would host lemonade and pickle parties in the summer under that clothesline tent ☺️ it was SO fun! Especially when the mulberry tree was full and we could have those too. Thank you for reminding me of fond memories today ❤️
So talented. So innovative. Such a great idea for window screens. I think you might have invented an entirely new way to decorate a window, and at the same time, offer daytime privacy. You are an amazing designer. That single idea in among all the other great ideas is truly a trend setter.
What a space of beauty you bring to this world. Lovely ideas, I especially love the lace screens! I may adapt to a wether proof version to use on our patio. 🧡 Thank you
Thoughtful design ideas for vintage linens. I have boxes full of all types of linens. My mother, my grandmother, my sisters all collected them, when they passed or downsized I got the lot. I have that exact bird, must have been a trend back in the day. Thanks for sharing. I gained an idea or two. I am enjoying your channel very much.
Discovered your site today.... really enjoyed it! You may want to consider taking pictures of projects/gifts you have completed and share these pictures with your viewers as you refer to them (e.g.. your niece's lace tent etc. )...sounds delightful.
Thank you for this educational and inspiring video. I love to repurpose elegant older cotton and linen damask tablecloths. You can pick them up for a song at Goodwill. I cut them in half the long way, which makes 2 very long strips. I cut the strips into sections to use as dishtowels! Then I finish the raw edges. Damask linen dishtowels would cost about $20 each at the high end kitchen stores. I iron them and give them for shower and birthday gifts. I made a UA-cam video about this. It's called, Goodwill's Best Kept Secret...from Grandma Bunny.
Hello! I just discovered your video. I really like how you upcycle pretty vintage linens. Please know that the music in this video was loud enough that I often had to really focus on your voice to hear what you were saying. Other than that, the video was great and you did a great job giving viewers a lot of cool ideas!
I have a hearing problem and the captions don't really make sense when I turn them on... the music is just too loud. I love what I see, but I just can't hear what you're saying unfortunately 😕
I'm sorry, Shell! We realized after the fact that this audio wasn't set correctly. You can read the post here: sheholdsdearly.com/10-ways-to-repurpose-vintage-linens/ if that is helpful!
Yeah music isnt even needed. Much too loud. But tgese are all great ideas and help me with the tons of my grandmother’s tatting, cut-work, and lace doilies she hand-made in the 1920s-1940s. Some advice on getting the yellowing & stains out would be appreciated!
You might find some good ideas here: sheholdsdearly.com/12-tips-for-cleaning-vintage-finds/, or you can try my all time favorite cleaning product for whites: ua-cam.com/video/Et6r0k57_Xk/v-deo.html
Great job except for the music. I love your ideas, but I was straining to hear you. I want to hear YOU, you have a good voice, a great presence. We don't need background music at all, but you are getting hit over the head with these comments, so let me just say thanks for the content of your video!
You can see dust ruffles on Amazon. Mine lays over the box spring and hangs to the floor on 3 sides of the bed. I got it bec the new comforter I bought didnt cover the boxspring and the side bedrails. People use them to prevent dust from gathering under the bed. The catch is, the dust ruffle itself gets dusty and should be washed at least twice a year. Also known as a bedskirt, it hides whatever you store under the bed. Hope this is helpful.
Hi Mary! We realized that after it was uploaded, it was an error! Here's the blog post if reading the information is helpful! sheholdsdearly.com/10-ways-to-repurpose-vintage-linens/
Sorry about that, it was a mix up that wasn't caught until too late. You can read all about the details here if that is less distracting! :) sheholdsdearly.com/10-ways-to-repurpose-vintage-linens/
These are the best tips I've ever seen for using vintage linens - and I have a Pinterest board for them. Thank you for sharing! (I will go to your blog article to add to my pins). My favorite is the beautiful doily you added to your skirt.
I could only listen to it until the music started. Then my hearing aid picked up the music & not what she was saying. Until the music started it was good.
I appreciate your ideas. I have my mother's hankercheifs that my dad brought back from Japan and the Philippines. I would never ever cut them. They mean too much. 😊
I love the screen idea and the chair!❤❤❤❤ I was hoping that you could show how you style them in a room. Such as that visual idea of the screen in place or the chair staged and etc. You have so many unique and wonderful ideas.
I just found your channel and love your ideas. Last summer my mom gave me a bunch of vintage linens. Some were a yellowish color (natural) but not very pretty- I think they are crochet . I was wondering how you'd incorporate them. Also some were kitchen towels and table cloths with the bright red blue and yellow colors (cherries, etc. ) Trying to figure out how to use them. Looking forward to more videos.
When I grew up, girls' twin beds usually had a pretty dust ruffle, and adults' beds had bedspreads, so that may be why you don't find larger lacy ones.
Hi, My sister in law . Was kind enough to sew my wedding dress. She used her grandmother's lace tablecloth as inlay on my dress. I loved it and Still have it.
Love this BUT your background music is way too loud and I'm straining to hear you.
That's what I am hearing, my apologies.
Music is very annoying@@SheHoldsDearly
You have a pleasant voice and lovely ideas. No need for the music as it distracts from your tutorial.
I agree
I could hardly hear her over the music. Too bad; she has some good ideas.
I think the charming bird crochet applique would look lovely as a pillow. If you get tired of the skirt, definitely reuse the applique for a pillow!!
Patricia Hall that’s a great idea! I was also thinking it would be pretty framed.
I totally agree!
Good idea, the skirt did not work.
I love the lace window screen!! Awesome!
Unfortunately the camera is way too close to really see the projects, we see mostly you (not meant unkind) but I’d like to see more of the full linen project. Also music is unnecessary and loud. On a brighter note, I love your channel and I’m a new subscriber. Thank you, Theresa
Please turn off the background music. I’m having a hard time hearing you over the music.
Great ideas! I love thinking out of the box! Thrifting is more fun when you've got a wide range of possibilities. Thanks!
Using them for screens is so brilliant, love all your ideas. I’m guessing your Mom will love the sailboats made with driftwood and cut-up handkerchiefs.
I hope so too!
Agree with others the music very loud and very distracting over powers your video.
Great ideas, It do skip the music. It’s lovely, but distracting.

You have made beautiful things from your linens. Thank you.
Glad you like them!
I made cafe curtains from matching pairs of embroidered pillow cases with a half of a table runner to create a three layer curtain for a cottage.
I love vintage linens! Doilies and hankeys are my favorite though. Oooo and pretty embroidered pillow cases are so fun!!! I like to use colorful sheets over the clothes line to make tents. I love all these ideas, especially the boat!
Oh, you sound like a girl after my own heart! Your ideas are awesome!

Frame the crochet bird!!! It is beautiful and unique!!!

STOP it!! I cannot believe you have the bird doily! That makes me so happy.

I love the driftwood sailboat and I think I have that hankie❤️❤️
I adore vintage linens of all kinds. 🤍
Wonderful ideas.
I'm from the UK and I have never heard of dust ruffles. I can't stop saying it now
For those in UK, a dust ruffle is a valance sheet.
Ah! Always interesting to know what they're called in other places! Here in the US they're also sometimes called "bed skirts". :)
Very girly and beautiful projects
Lovely ideas!! Thank you so much
Oh, I'm so glad you liked it!
I love the music. Could you tell me who or what it is? Would love to buy. I make baby bonnets out of hankies for newborns. Great ideas!
great ideas but music TOO loud
So sorry, will relay that to my editor.
Why not use the bird crochet on a pillow????
You are amazing! i hope your next video does not include music...
The audio for this video was accidentally set a bit too loud, usually not an issue! :)

WHERE TO FIND LINENS
Thrift stores and garage sales
Smusic is so loud in this video it ruins the subject, and I miss to much of it to use many of the hints
What the heck is a dust ruffle?

The music is a little loud it over powers your voice. You have a few things I liked
You talk way too much. You need talking points and stay focused. Took too long.
I am a newbie to your site. I thought you had some cute ideas, but the music is really annoying. So loud at points that I couldn’t hear you.
Left because music is too loud.

LOUD music, couldn't finish.
Will subscribe if you tone down or turn off the music.....
Please stop the music. Too loud and not necessary. Can't hear you about the hankies.
Sorry about that, it was a mix up that wasn't caught until too late.

Had to stop watching... Music was unbearable
I’m afraid I had to stop watching this half way through because the music was so distracting
Please lower the music or do without it at all my goodness!
WHAT!? I can barely hear the presenter because of the loud music.

Talk way too much! Get on with it.
Lose the music
Can’t focus on what you are saying with music...it has no reason to be present when you are explaining.
Please lose the music, I cant hear you.
Like others have said, please lower the volume of the music
Can’t hear you over music.
agree with Joe.....great ideas, I think, could not quite understand due to high volume music.
I love old liens! You gave me some great ideas.

My favorite is the beautiful doily you added to your skirt.
OH wow, I am so humbled. Thank you for your kind words!
And my favorite is little driftwood sailboat! Thank you for the idea.
I could only listen to it until the music started. Then my hearing aid picked up the music & not what she was saying. Until the music started it was good.
Patricia Elston I used the subtitles, which you can find under the three dots, top right of the screen.
I love your ideas. 😊 The drift wood sail boat is adorable 😍 The lace screen is so pretty as well. TFS
Kill the damn annoying music! Please. Let us see these ideas instead of telling us
Rude
I appreciate your ideas. I have my mother's hankercheifs that my dad brought back from Japan and the Philippines. I would never ever cut them. They mean too much. 😊
I saw a hanky quilt / no cutting
The music is overwhelming and ruins the video.
I love the screen idea and the chair!❤❤❤❤ I was hoping that you could show how you style them in a room. Such as that visual idea of the screen in place or the chair staged and etc. You have so many unique and wonderful ideas.
Hi Trudy, check out these YT videos to see them styled. xoxo

Music way to loud
terrible video
Not really a tutorial, less talk more showing of examples.

Oh that is so interesting! Good theory!
This would be much more pleasing without the music. Otherwise, the projects are great!
Wow! What a great video - chock full of information. I’m so happy I’ve found your channel. I’m planning on binge watching all your videos later today.
You are the sweetest, thank you so much for all your love and support.
Your videos are sweet and I will continue to watch but the background music is a bit loud. It is hard to hear you over it.
We are still learning, thanks for the feedback, though.
yes turn it down a titch otherwise lovely ideas!
