Bird sounds?? BIRD SOUNDS. I AM SO READY FOR BIRD SOUNDS.
Squawk
birbs 🥰
Anytime you see a flying raptor in a movie, you hear a redtail. Heck, I've seen a TV flying in a show with a redtail call.
@Rocco B. Sorry, Turkey Vulture.
Sometimes it's the closely related European buzzard's call though.
@@westelaudio943 no doubt
Crows and Ravens are mostly in some sort of Haunted or scary looking scene in movies although they live everywhere
Very true!
My cat legit just came out under the bed looking wide eyed up at me like, "Lunch?"
Nobody:
The beginning of scenes in American movies:
The screaming Piha was what I have been searching for, thank you 👍🏾
It eluded me for many years too
I heard some of these bird sounds in some movies before.
I was looking for the Screaming Piha everywhere!!! Thanks so much. The Common Loon is a favourite one I didn't know the name too.
Glad it helped!
2:23 It took me so long to figure out that trill song when i was younger.
kookaburra used in every creepy swamp scene. Always thought it was strange.
Other birds: normal bird sounds
Australian bird: demonic laughter
Thank u so much for this! I've been searching for that mysterious sound for so long! now I know it's a common loon.
Fantastic. I'm glad it helped with your ID quest.
Literally, same. I used to call this unknown bird a moose bird cus their call would always be heard in movies or commercials where there was moose nearby
A common loon? So you heard me talking then. :D
Love the video! One minor thing though, the picture in the background for the Indian peafowl is of Angkor Wat, Cambodia, a country Indian peafowls aren't native to.
Good spot. The background images were used more to represent the movie visuals, rather than actual range. But I should have made it more accurate in that respect.
Very well put together. Love me some birds
Many thanks!
There's one you get almost without fail that you hear in Japanese films and anime, whether in urban or rural environments. Love to know what it is.
Think I know what you mean, try Jungle Crow. Otherwise, you might be thinking of cicadas, which aren't birds
You might be thinking of the Brown eared Bulbul. I recently found out what they sound like and now I hear them in almost every anime that takes place in Japan.
Wait, so blue jays don't actually say "OOOOOOOHHH"???? Can't believe it
Peregrine falcon sounds like a miniature MotoGP bike accelerating haha 8:58
I nominate Hermit Thrush. The theme song for any commercial or TV show episode taking place in the woods, haha.
This is so wonderful, all of your way with life, songs and everything. Thank you so very much.
Awesome footage, Thanks for your sharing, Best Regards..
Many thanks for your comment.
Amazingly beautiful. Thank you for such an unexpected start to my day!
African Turtle Dove is heard in every documentary about Africa, it's in the background constantly.
So lucky to have some of these birds for neighbors
Kind of like being Mr. Rogers...
Loved it!
Love these icons of sound
I just heard the Screaming Piha sound used in a scene at a baseball game in a movie. Like a person was making that call or something???
Bald Eagle, expressed through a literary perspective from the book called Peckish for Poems on UA-cam.
3:30 damn I finally found it!!! Thank you so much for this!!!! :D
You're welcome. Classic sound of the savannah
Was looking for the screaming piha for so long, hear it in so many jungle/tropical soundscapes in video games and movies
Great video to hear in the early part of the morning!! Thanks
Not the most relaxing of our videos I must say!
Hearing a European robin always makes me smile. We get them here. I used to hear tawny owls every night.
Vibes (or films the calls are featured in) I picture the bird calls being in:
Red-tailed Hawk: Stereotypical American commercial.
“AMERICA! OH YEAH! BBQ! BALD EAGLE!”
(Insert Hawk screech)
or
A desert movie. I heard the call in the movie “Rango”. A hawk tried to eat the main character twice!
Common Swift: I never heard their call before. However, when I heard it in this video, I thought that their calls could be used for some small demonic creatures with wings.
Northern Raven: “In their tongue, he is Dovahkiin. Dragonborn!”
“FUS RO DAH!”
or in some boreal forest.
Herring Gull: Some piece of media that takes place in New York, like “Newsies: The Musical”
“SANTA FE, MY OLD FRIEND!”
or
Some film that takes place at or near the sea or an ocean. I heard the herring gull calls in the National Geographic documentary “Killer Whales: Wolves of the Sea”, when an orca/killer whale was breaching twice.
Common Loon (also called Great Northern Diver): Some film that takes place in a dark forest. I heard the calls of a common loon in the episode “The Eel Effect” from “Dreamworks Dragons: Defenders of Berk”, when Toothless the Night Fury dragon was freaking out after eating a bloodbane eel.
Screaming Piha: Some film that takes place in a rainforest.
Cape Turtle Dove/Ring-necked Dove: NANTS INGOYAMA BAGITHI BABA!! Some film that takes place in the savanna or mopane woodland of Africa
or
Some documentary by National Geographic or BBC. I heard this call many times in the painted wolf (also called African wild dogs) episode of “Dynasties”.
Great Horned Owl: Some spooky and scary Halloween movie scene
or
Whenever an owl is on screen in a film that’s usually meant for children.
American Crow: “They’re creepy and they’re kooky! Mysterious and spooky! They’re altogether ooky! The Addams Family!” The call of an American Crow played several times in a few episodes of “The Addams Family”.
Laughing Kookaburra: Some old movie that takes place in a jungle or rainforest. The 1960’s film of “The Jungle Book” had a scene where the calls of a Laughing Kookaburra rang out.
Bald Eagle: I heard that call many times in “Brother Bear”.
European Robin: Several cartoons and films.
Tawny Owl: Many horror movies with a forest scene at night.
Shirley: Benny, I’m scared of the dark!
Benny: Don’t worry, baby. Yours truly is here to protect you.
Benny: Oh, my knight in shining armor!
(werewolf jumps out from behind a tree)
Benny: Ight, imma head out.
(A stereotypical low-key horror movie scene I made)
Indian Peafowl: Their call always makes me think of India or of a tiger prowling through the jungle.
American Robin: Some suburban neighborhood.
Blue Jay: Always makes me think of my home state where I live, South Carolina.
Peregrine Falcon: Never heard their call used in a movie before.
Spot on. Thank you for this!
Bird Kind you’re welcome
Wonderful video. Beautiful sounds.
Thank you!
Awesome!
Loved it vary much thank you for sharing this
You are very welcome!
0:17)
The bald eagle's voice actor
OMG THE TAWNY OWL!! I'VE BEEN TRYING TO IDEBNTIFY THIS CALL FOR YEARS!!! THANK YOU!!
By the way, you could've mentioned the Eurasian wren, too.
2:48 oh I remember this one from angry birds
4:28 cameraman has been apotted
Translation at 1:39)
MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE
Finally! Found it! It's the bloody common loon ahah xD it's the big mushroom sound effect from dark souls and used in loads of horror stuff.
The one I was looking for wasn't here. It's like a kookaburra call, but slower and lower pitched. It's usually used to show that a jungle or forest is creepy.
Could be Green Woodhoopoe? See xeno-canto.org/301399
2:54 Hey watch it there birdie I’m taken!!!
you forgot when somewhone or something gets thrown and you hear a crashing sound and a chicken squacking or sometimes a cat
When the Common Loon starts you hear this "laughing" call before the wolfy sound. Is that also the Common Loon? If not, what?
It is part of the loon call, they make a bubbling laughing sound, then the longer eerie drawn out call
And a couple more making relevance these days are Black-Capped Chickadees and House Sparrows I find!
8:36 Dude that’s the Munsters house
3:31 ive heard that sound in every documentary about Africa now i know what it is its a dove
2:58 The beginning of Raiders of the Lost Ark
What is that last call during the credits at 9'22"?
Red-tailed Hawk
I heard this bird as a kid I have no idea what it is but it like goes from a medium pitch to a high pitch then a medium to a high pitch then a high pitched trill then a high pitch to a low pitch and then a high pitch to a low pitch
Ok so it kinda sounds like jets brid call from atla and I can't tell if i made up the bird call but I swear I remember hearing a bird that's kinda like jets call but different
there is one mor bird i hear in movies, is missing here ;)
I’m sorry that is not a ringneck dove. It is a cape dove 5:54
I hear the hawk at the beginning in London for the last few weeks about midday. Weird
Remember the opening of 3:10 to Yuma?
The American robins... I don't really have feelings about them one way or another most of the year, but come spring, I hate them with a passion. I'm a light sleeper. Once I'm up, I'm up and they begin singing before dawn. They throw off my sleeping schedule every year. They are EVERYWHERE at my house and and just after 4 am, they're singing and I'm awake.
Of course, I would never do anything to them because they're just doing what birds do, but I absolutely do lay there and hate them quietly to myself.
Their singing is beautiful when it’s not 3 or 4 in the fucking morning
You forgot the call of the Cactus Wren, used in every desert scene ever, even in the Middle East, despite the fact that it is confined exclusively to the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. 🤣😮😮😮
3:33 I heard this in Far Cry 2 WTF
It’s awesome that they went to that length of research. Back when they cared about games.
Should add house wren. That's almost as iconic as American robin for suburban scenes
The crows are the ones waking me up randomly when I already didn’t get enough sleep. Ugh that sound instinctually makes me feel irritated.
2:54 I've been looking for you 😈🐦
I think the Indian peafowl is what they used for up
Bald Eagle sounded like that????
I’m looking for the er er from up
3:50, political borders, animals don't respect it, unless the borders are marked by major natural obstacles (mountains, rivers, etc)
Absolutely. Unfortunately we are quite restricted by the distribution maps available for free use.
@@birdkind ok
It always irritates me when the scene on the screen is clearly a barren desert and they plug in a loon call... yeah, they sound ethereal and beautiful, but don't insult the viewers!
Uhhhh canary ??? I cant believe u forgot canaries.. Just kidding thanks
