@@smoketinytom totally agree, quad jets made things more interesting. Everything is a twin now and while the tech is impressive, and the economics better, something about a quad just makes it feel mighty. Economics aside the a340 looked so sleek. Especially the later a345 & a346
Nicely said as always. It is really fascinating to see that Virgin Atlantic is transforming its fleet into one of the youngest, modern and efficient fleets.
I love the A-330 She has the best Economy Class layout 2-4-2 A-330 25% Seated in the Middle Seat B-787/ A-350 33,3% Seated in the Middle Seat B-777/ A-380 40% Seated in the Middle Seat
Do you know why Thai Airways is buying such old gen planes? Considering they operate a good number of 787 and A350 aircrafts… I understand that with 13 years of lifetime the A333‘s are still good to go but how do they serve Thai Airways?
@@Bryan-nx8zt they didn’t buy the old planes just interim leasing between waiting the new aircrafts. Thai just ordered the 45 B787-9s in Singapore Airshow
You mentioned them purchasing another seven A330s at Farnborough. Ruby Rebel was there. I thought you might have mentioned the 40th anniversary of their first flight which occurred on 10 June . G - VSRB Ruby Rebel was named in celebration of this event. Named after Sir Richard Branson. An important milestone in Virgin Atlantic history. Definitely worth a mention if you’re doing a video about Virgin Atlantic. It’s easy to forget with the passage of time that Virgin Atlantic were the rebels when they started - taking on the might of British Airways at the time.
I do hope Virgin updates their upper class product on the Airbus A330-300 & Boeing 787-9. It has not aged well and privacy is a major trend with business class products. The seat offers no privacy and looks awkward.
The 330-300 are showing their age at the minute , constantly having things inop and the cargo floor never works on them , must be costing them a fortune
Not a chance from Virgin Atlantic. However, Qantas will do with the A350-1000ULRs starting in 2026 when they start taking delivery of it (they have 12 of the special type on order. They also have an additional 12 A350-1000s that will act to supplement their 787-9 operations for other ultra-long haul flights and gradually replace the A380s)
i think turkish airlines may consider the a330neo from their older a330ceos, particularly their -200 variants, although they may just stick to the a350s?? ❤❤
Modernized yes, but also a shrinking airline. V Australia now is only domestic, Virgin America is now Alaska, Virgin Atlantic ended 1/4 of its routes. It’s a great airline but…..
I still remember when their fleet was exclusively quad jets, 747s and a340s. "4 Engines 4 Longhaul"

I love the A330neo, I really hope to see more European carriers purchasing this model
Handsome fleet.
it feels wild being this early. But here I am so let’s buckle up and get going
Where do you guys get the footage, very impressive.
Could you please do the Air France fleet next
I miss the 747 though
2 of the A330-300 from Virgin Atlantic will join with Thai Airways soon.

I wish more carriers were widebody-only. I really hate flying on narrow-bodies.
Unfortunately most routes don't have enough demand for larger planes, but even then I feel like LCCs would make widebodies uncomfortable anyway
That's amazing
Could you imagine if Virgin America ordered all three variants of the A320neo family lol ahh such a shame it’s gone😢
Do
These new Boeing models feature any issues?
They really should order the XLR could open up a lot of interesting routes for them.
The 330-300 are showing their age at the minute , constantly having things inop and the cargo floor never works on them , must be costing them a fortune
Wish they could have maintained “little red”
I hope they fly the ‘35K into aus soon

"Virgin is UK's other major carrier" - Easyjet puts BA, Virgin to shame.
Still wouldn't set foot on another one of their aircraft. Awful airline.
Virgin Atlantic is a joke , a shadow of its former self. The nearly all Airbus fleet is not surprising…the 787s will likely be offloaded soon
So what if they have an Airbus heavy fleet? They should get all nightmareliners to please all you americans?
Shut up Wade. You're on an American website. And plenty of US carriers use Airbus airplanes. Don't act like US carriers are just biased for Boeing.
Upper class this and Upper class that FFS.
