we bought the Bose 900 on offer at €699 for our cinema room which is average size a couple of weeks ago and love the sound very immersive for the size of our room. My partner has a hearing problem that means excessive bass is very painful to him, so the standalone sound bar with adjustable internal bass was ideal. the shop demonstrated the bar with and without both bose subwoofers and to us the bar alone was ideal.
The average UK home has a much smaller living room than the US. This is a UK channel, and to be honest, all of these sound bars are probably overkill. The likes of the Dragon or separate AV setups are great if you have a larger room or home cinema, but the vast majority of us don't. This is why we like a simple sound bar of which these chosen ones are ideal. Good choice and good video for most Uk buyers.
Meh possibly. It would he good to compare. A system with a superior crossover and sound separation but less power (wattage) would still sound better than a system with garbage crossover, eq, crossover but higher wattage. So knowing if these brands which sell in the UK actually compare in the various other evaluating metrics would be beneficial to know of the U.K. Market is comparable or just getting over charged with less quality offerings.
I recently got both Bose (900 SB + 700 BM) and Samsung 990 (SB, BM & 2 speakers) to try out for my home theater. I’d seen reviews saying the Samsung is as good as, or better than the Bose and I was attracted to the much lower cost of the Samsung set up plus the fact that I was pairing it with a Samsung TV. However, I ended up keeping the Bose and returning the Samsung because the Bose hands down had better, richer, more immersive sound that hit you from everywhere. Maybe it’s the size of the room - it is a pretty large, 2-story room with 4 ceiling fans - but the difference was so profound, I honestly don’t see how anyone could’ve put the 2 systems in the same class. Maybe the Samsung performs better in smaller spaces, I don’t know, but I’ve chosen the Bose and I’ll get the Bose speakers to complete my setup although it already out-performs the Samsung by far, without the extra speakers. I can’t speak for the other brands but I’m totally happy with my Bose.
Sony HTA7000 was my choice. I love the 2 HDMI 2.1 inputs and I completed the system with the sub and R5 atmos rear surround speakers. The soundfield is incredible and calibrating is super easy. Now, I just power on Apple TV 4K+ and the whole system activates thru HDMI 1 and my Panasonic 820 4K Blu-Ray is thru HDMI 2. LOVE IT !!!
The Sony Bravia OLED TV Center channel feature with the HT-A7000, SA-SW5 sub, and SA-RS5 surrounds makes it an unbeatable combo… The dialogue literally sounds like it’s coming from the character on the screen. It cant be beat with that feature.
Recently bought the Q990C for €919 ( 795 GBP or 990 Dollar ) on a sale, which is a steal! It replaced my AV Receiver and speakers, so that's saying alot IMHO!. Very good sound and immersion!
@HalalFoodTherapy There are alot of legit sellers on Ebay selling it for less than $1,000 brand new. That's how I always buy my new electronics and save money
I went for the Sony A7000 because it just sounds incredible. Do whatever you can to avoid getting sucked in to the horrible Sonos ecosystem. The connectivity has always been garbage and forget about connecting to a third party unless you want to pony up $1000+
Once a Sonos soundbar is connected to your TV via HDMI no Wi-Fi of connectivity is required for TV audio to play. I presume this must be music streaming issues.
I just bought the Bose smart ultra and the Bose bass module 700 and omg it’s absolutely incredible and the bass is only at 50% and it’s shaking everything….ive had other soundbars and subs, but the Bose is by far the best ive had and its build is high quality and it looks very classy as well
You seem like the best at this I live in an apartment and only want to be a standalone soundbar without having to purchase any extra speakers 🔊 or subwoofers etc. What is the best standalone soundbar for a brand new LG OLED G4 television in 2024? Any assistance you can bring is greatly appreciated!
@@attilab.2818 I happen to like the sound of the Sonos better it's a bit more open than the Bose. I had the Bose system. I've never had the San Heiser system.
I considered Sony and Sonos Arc. Went with Sony because of a discount when buying Sony TV. But I did like the Sonos Arc. Good review. I like Sony as it suites my room, not open concept, sound is great. I wonder is Sonos better in larger room?
I tried the Q900C… and it completely blew the Arc+Sub Gen 3 in comparison. I ordered the Q990C today for $600. I can’t justify spending $2400 for the Sonos “Ultimate” setup for similar or even slightly worse sound and no DTS support
@@SemanticDream it was for $800 for anyone with an AAA membership or student status last week. I got an extra $200 off due to a targeted financing offer. It’s definitely back up again because the student discount was also temporary and now it’s $1260 again!
The samsung does get significantly louder than the Arc, there are more drivers i the bar itself and the big price jump on the sonos cant be justified unless you wanna pay more for less or NEED to bring it into the Sonos ecosystem in the rest of the house. With double price you would at lease expect the same capability, but youre getting less. Im really not sure how the managed to sell well.
@amarcellus1714 Finally, one smart answer, all others afraid to say it loudly😂 Typical iPhone zombies always choose sonos, thinking 101% it's the best😂😂
I LOVE my Samsung Q990C. Great big sound, the subwoofer is very well built with thumping sound. Big soundstage and clear audio both with effects and voices. An absolute beast imo.
Brother can you tell me the best sound setting for woofer and bass , my q990c woofer was always producing booming sound , please tell me the best settings

I will go with Sonos all the way. Currently have the Sonos Arc with the original Sonos base and Sonos SL for the rears. Eventually I will upgrade the subwoofer to the newest.
I setup 2 Sonos systems with double subs. One of my setups has the rear, the arc and double subs, and the other has the arc double subs, the amplifier and ceiling speakers.

The Sennheiser Ambeo Plus is currently on sale for £899. I have taken a punt on an ex-display unit for £799. The description omits pointing out on the diagram the two upward firing 4 inch woofers.
@@ednewmy Hi, I have been very pleased with the performance of the Ambeo Plus. Additionally, I bought a refurbished Sub ,from Sennheiser UK, which looked as new. The Ambeo Plus is well worth an audition.
@@ednewmy Don't buy it as there is a manufacture's fault. The soundbar heats up loosing its function. Sennheiser are keeping quiet about it. The product should never have been launched. Having said that when it is working properly, it has amazing sound.
@@zaak__1312 Interesting. I’ve owned my Ambeo Plus for a year and not experienced this issue. Fingers crossed since the unit sounds fantastic. I hope they make some rear surrounds soon.
I’ve got the Arc with Sub gen.3 and One SL’ for rears.. and it still costs the same as it did 2 years ago. Even though the SL’ are slowly facing out, its still one of the best setups out there. I know a few that bought the Samsung options with their complete package, just to find out in 7-8 months it has dropped in value massively. The Sonos ecosystem just dont do that. And for that reason its actually good value for money..
Samsung Q990C does not drop in "value", just drop in "price". Currently in Canada, I can get it for about $1500ca which is about 40% less than the price of your Sonos system. And for that saving, I can actually buy another Samsung TV.
@@benjaminwitt1762 100% true, as long as the product get improved over time , and for the same money you can get better performing systems . I think that really make positive impact to the market.
How ling ago was that, because hamdon kardon now make the speakers samsung, amd they also make JBL and do the hamdon kardon speakers in the newer BMW cars
Great video! Sidebar: the Bose soundbar also works well with the considerably cheaper Bass Module 500 (rather than the 700 shown here), which gives more than sufficient oomph unless you have a very big TV room or want the windows to literally rattle.
Glad to read confirmation for it! That’s the setup I went for (haven’t gotten it yet). I’m sure for a relatively average living room, the 500 will largely suffice!
So, I was going to for the Sonos system but then the TV started playing up so went for the Samsung S95C and Q990C combo through Smart Homes Sounds. For the price of the two with the amazing discounts - just couldn’t refuse that.
I’ve been rocking the Bose 900 soundbar with the 700 subwoofer and 700 surrounds. I had the Bose 500 subwoofer but it just didn’t perform the way I thought it should. It struggled with low bass notes and distorted when I turned the system up. I can’t wait to get my second Bose 700 subwoofer hooked up. I went with the Bose over other soundbars because of it AdaptIQ calibration system. It’s probably the best in the industry far as room calibration for a soundbar. I upgraded from the Bose Lifestyle system and couldn’t be more happy.
I have the hta7000, I really wanted Bose for their signature sound and to compliment all the rest of the Bose speakers we have in each room, but we went for the ht, and recently found the setting on how to adjust literally every single speaker on the sound bar, rear and even make the sub louder. I fine tuned it probably 20 times and it now sounds even better then Bose or Sonos, I’ve tinker with my friends Sonos. And it the ht7000 is way better. I definitely advise discovering the adjustments for all speaker levels and adjust them all manually for best sound. I’m blown away by this greyed out feature I found 2 years later. lol
Current best sound bar on the market? I want an Apple Homepod, but I don’t think it’s even needed if I’m getting a sound bar. Please help. I want the best of the best Solution that offers HomePod features, but the best sound bar quality. I am really confused on what to buy.
Paying 3000+ for a soundbar you would expect it to blow away a system you can get for 800dollars or less. Whats insane is that Sonos charges 2/3 of the Dragon price and still performs worse than the samsung hahaha
I've had several sound bars and a surround sound package but it was only when I purchased an AVR with stereo speakers I realised what I had been missing (stereo imaging, thumping bass, enveloping sound stage etc) besides going down this route one could always add overtime.. surround speakers, subwoofers. One could even purchase height speakers to have the full NON-VIRTUAL Dolby Atmos experience. If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right! Our ears follow our eyes to where the story lives.
You get slightly better atmos for 5 Times more money. Been there, done that. The latest soundbars like the samsung q990b is like a samsung s23 ultra camera. It is very good compared to a traditional camera (avr) but in a modern and compackt package. Wont replace a cinema room for 10 Times less money, but will sound 80% similar to a 5 Times more expensive avr dolby truehd atmos setup in an average room... you just need to place the speakers slightly above ear level. You cant even buy a truehd atmos receiver from the price of the 11.1.4 channel soundbar. So it is destroying any avr that is not atmos, because it can reproduce the bubble effect for so cheap.
Yeah agree with you! I've also had several soundbars but finally settled for a pair of active speakers with hdmi arc compatibility and added an active sub to them. The sound is just so much wider and much more dynamic
It all depends on one's listening habits. If one's listening habits are all coming from the TV. Maybe the sound bar might be good enough. However if one enjoys listening to stereo music. That's where sound bars imo tend to falter. Listen to the first 30 seconds of this and you might get a better understanding... ua-cam.com/video/uPi6R54Mdx4/v-deo.htmlsi=rwpkfC9UFxrnsluY
@@Antibackgroundnoise soundbars like the q990b are meant to simulate cinema, atmos surround. Listening to music on them is like having a disco party in a cinema...
Jus bought the Bose ultra soundbar, 700 sub and 300 series surround speaker since they were going for a super good deal. Paid $1,600 for the whole setup. I gotta say it sounds insanely good. For anyone using Bose surround speakers. Make sure you cover the surround speakers with a few socks before you AI cali rate your system. This tricks the calibration system which pushes the surround speakers to its full potential. You can always personally make fine adjustments after calibration which I highly suggest. Trust me it’s an insane system if you’re not a die hard audiophile. I like really good clear sound with a nice bass punch and when you put the whole system together it comes alive.
I love the Sonos ARC for one reason: I can transfer the sound from the soundbar to my headphones, and that's amazing for me. I don’t know if any other soundbar can do that, and besides, it’s an excellent soundbar.
With only one soundbar offering full 4k/120 Hz Pass-through, the HT-A7000 would be my winner (I currently use the A5000 which for my living room provides more than enough room filling sound by itself), and with a recent firmware update now also supports VRR (variable refresh rate) and ALLM (auto-low latency mode) capabilities making it and the A5000 the most versatile soundbars for every entertainment need.
I get confused when people say the soundbat has passthrough. So, do you go from say PS5 or apple 4k tv box into soundboard and into the tv from there???
@@jb7753 Yes, that’s how it works. The soundbar also has to be set to its own HDMI input for video to be displayed onto the TV/monitor along with the audio signal. If it’s set to its TV mode, it will only play audio and video from the other HDMI input(s) on the display that are not connected to the eARC HDMI port.
@@jb7753 The main benefit with going through the soundbar is you don’t lose an HDMI port on the TV to the soundbar itself if the soundbar has even 1 additional input (with some having 2-4 additional inputs even).
I have the Sony HT-A7000. A few reasons to really like this unit, dialog is SUPER clear. I have had ZERO issues with being able to clearly hear dialog, having watched a wide variety of content on this unit, this fact has impressed me. Surround effects are not so good, even with the higher end rears with the upfiring speakers (which I have), but then again, I have always felt atmos to be somewhat gimmicky. As to having a full range of sound, this is another aspect I really like. I do not feel like I need the sub and this was the primary reason I purchased this soundbar. I didnt want to shake pictures off the wall, I just wanted to have enough low end to hear things like low brass, percussion, etc and this soundbar exceeds my expectations in this regard, by a huge margin. At some point, I will pick up the sub, just to complete the system, but I dont feel like I need it, the sound is full and rich, providing bass in what I would consider to be the equivalent of good quality 8-10 inch drivers you would expect from good quality bookshelf speakers, without it being boomy and shaking windows. 4K passthru is another huge plus, considering how many soundbars are listed in this video without it, and that this is one of the only with it, this is a big deal to me.
I guess I'm biased because I've not had the opportunity to listen to other soundbar setups, but I absolutely love my Sonos setup. I have the Arc, two ERA 300's and Sub Gen 3. I love the ecosystem and the whole home aspect of adding additional speakers in other rooms or being able to upgrade to newer products as Sonos releases them without having to buy a whole new setup. Dolby Atmos content is always hit or miss for me especially with music. I still feel like its a new toy that has not fully matured in the consumer space yet. It can sometimes sound bad or gimmicky if not used correctly. I can't wait to see what Sonos does with there next major Soundbar release.
Have the Bose 900 W/Bose Bass 700 & Bose 700 surround rear speakers. With the EQ setup with placement headphones for the soundbar to adjust the sound to where your setting. Very Cool! Plus multiple seating speakers adjustments to add to listening pleasure.. rear speakers our host wasn’t impressed.. my experience provides a full listening environment . So in closing, Bose fan sense their 301 loud speakers came out in the 70’s.. yup older fan!
How do these compare to the new Cambridge sound works evo one(the one with 700watt) $1500, and want to use it for streaming and the tv as a sound bar in my living room. Thank you
Good video , but my question is why no one talks about different sound bars apart from the one mentioned above in the video. There are plenty other sound bars out there. Like JBL bar 800, 1000, 1300 , klipsch, etc? Obviously, I don’t know if they are better or worse because no one talks about them. I’m pretty sure they are not too far apart
It's great for very small spaces like a bedroom. In a living room space, you will be very highly disappointed as I was. I ended up returning for that reason as I needed a big sound in the living room.
That is correct. If you're a gamer and have a ps5 or Xbox series x, then that's the soundbar you want. That's assuming you have a 120hrz tv. I have 3 LG oleds. The cx,c1, and c2. All 4 HDMI inputs are 2.1, and the hdmi 2 port is e(arc). In my bedroom, I have the LG c2 hooked up to a Samsung 990c. I'm probably going to get the 990d for my living room.
Soundbars are limited when it comes to spaciousness unless you add rear speakers. HT-A9+ SW-5 kills the competition in this regard. And Sony's 360SSM works like magic if your ceilings are below 15ft.
JBL has a great soundbar for music, but for dialog it's too much bass. I'm getting the BOSE ultra so I can move our JBL soundbar to our kitchen setup where dialog is less important and music is.
Question : if the Bose is incompatible with DTS but I'm watching a DTS movie, to which format will the sound be converted? Will it affect quality a lot? Thanks in advance for your help.
Hey why does everyone skip Harman Kardon 1100??? Its best of all this I heard most of them in person minus (sony, bose, sonos and samsung) but hk1100 is a beast
Or the Beosound Stage… we are pretty happy with the Stage as a all in one solution, we do listen to a lot of music, and in my opinion that is where the Stage does really well!
I own the entire Sonos Eco System, Arc, 2xSub Gen 3s, 2x Sonos Ones. There is Pros and Cons to both. As for overall quality of sound, it is an absolute beast. I used to own the Bose 900, and Sonos handle the Atmos much better. On the Sonos, dialogue is VERY clear with music and atmosperic sounds clearly differenciated, bullets flying and helicopters, you feel like you're in the middle of a warzone in a war movie such as Dune or Avengers. On Bose 900, it struggled to handle the bass and dialogue. The Sonos however has one downside. If you are not techy, you're doomed. It is App controlled only and if your internet resets, or power goes out, you need to set it up again all over again. BIG HEADACHE! So be aware of that.
I don't with my Sonos system, I recently changed router on virgin media (I'm on 1gb) and the app moved the entire house system over for me, no repairing at all?
@@thak594 Depends on the size of the room, network connectivity, and what you're looking to do. Sonos is superior in terms of functionality. I don't even need a remote control. It has built in Assistant Alexa, Sonos, Google, and etc. It is basically a built in smart system. In terms of sound, they are similar, but Sonos handles spartial audio better and more well tuned voice seperation. Bose system has very high Bass, and lacks treble control. When watching movie during atmos, it has a hard time controlling voice with music on primary channel. Until they fix that issue on driver, I would have to say Sonos is the superior system in almost aspect with weakness being too heavily dependent on connectivity. If you have bad internet, get Bose.
An update for anyone shopping in early 2024. Some of these are on sale but in my opinion the biggest to note would be the Samsung Q990c coming in at $1069 on Amazon. That is huge sound for the value!
I really enjoy mine. I can’t speak to the quality of it being better than Sony. However my friend has a Bose 700 and mine is louder however his feels like a better sound with more bass. As for pairing it with a Sony tv you would lose Q symphony, but I never use mine. The tv speakers bring down the quality of the sound.
Great video! Any reason why Harman/Kardon is not in the list? Not good enough? I have the opportunity to pick up a new multibeam 1100 for 350usd which feels like an amazing deal no?
Louis@SHS - Your review of the Sennheiser Ambeo Plus is incorrect. There is a major defect with this soundbar where the top panel stops working and heats up. Also the Ambeo feature gets disabled. Sennheiser are aware of this... This is a defective product that Sennheiser have launched and are keeping quite about it... I have now had 4 units in the space of 15 months and all suffer the same. Sennheiser should be doing a product recall to fix the problem... The soundbar is not fit for its purpose.
I need Help! For the bars lacking the 4k 2.1 pass through, can I just plug the PS5 and cable box and TV into the TV instead? Or will I lose a feature this way? Goal is to have a unified single remote that can control all vis CEC eARC as I hate two remotes and have my 2.1 4k full performance of the PS5 , TV etc
You won't lose any features, the biggest issue that might occur (and I see it a lot) is mainly for Atmos gaming as you can get audio sync issues that may not be an issue with HDMI 2.1. Blu-ray players and cable TV don't need HDMI 2.1. It's primarily for gaming. All you need is to make sure the soundbar and TV both have eARC, but when gaming, I cannot say whether you'll have audio delay issues. I've heard PS5 is less or not prone to it whereas Xbox is.
Sound is really subjective. I believe that all the A brands have very good products and sound. What I love about Sonos is the flexibility to expand, or replace components without having to replace your complete Home Theater set in whole. So can’t wait to replace my Arc with the new Arc Ultra. Should give a better balance with the Era 300 as I miss some high tones details sometimes with the current Arc.
i have the arc , the sub ( wooden base ) and 2 times the era 300 and i love this set up with the dolby atmos in it , i no it is a lot of money , but every one has his on set up and every 1 like different brands , if you like a brand and you can pay for it then do it , on you tube a lot of people talk about brands and they want a lot of reviews , so people make your own decision .
You've just missed out though on so much more it offers if you didn't go and sample it. I know Atmos isn't for everyone however it handles 2.0 and 5.1 (a lot of movies are still in this category) in incredible quality. 2 x gen 3 subs and it's game over for cinema sound from a soundbar as good as can be expected without amps and separates etc....
I purchased the Samsung Q990c soundbar system, but feel its leans to much towards the bass and overpowers everything else. voices are very clear and atmos on the right film is very good. Overall a good system, but doesn't compete with a amplifier and separate speakers.
Hey...Luv your vids, very informative and I highly rate your recommendations. I'm interested in the Hisense AX5125H and I'd like to know your thoughts on this sound bar, so if you can do a review would be appreciated....thanks.
I have a connection question I have a epson projector with 2 hdmi ports neither are ARC or EARC I bought the Bose 900 any suggestions on connecting them? Would taking optic from 900 converting it to hdmi to go in hdmi port of projector work?
If there's an optical out on your projector then just connect both using a Toslink cable. Otherwise, you can look into a HDMI audio extractor to extract the audio from your source and passthrough the video signal to your projector.
I don't have a soundbar yet, but the main reason I would go for the Bose would be the TrueSpace feature. If it works as advertised, then only the Bose soundbar would be an option for me. Does anyone know if the other soundbars offer a similar feature? A lot of content is still offered in stereo. A soundbar that converts stereo to dolby Atmos would be a very strong selling point for me.
I have bose full set. 900 soundbar, 700 woofer and 700 surround speakers. I recommend you try different things, because I just keep getting feels these atmos stuff is overrated and overpriced. Ofcourse it’s a great thing when the content is great but most of the”atmos” contents out there(at least what I experienced) are not that sound devoted contents. It’s just like a sprinkle over your donut, but not the whole donut. So is it great? Yeah. But I don’t expect too much anymore.
I've got a big family room 30'x18' with an LG C2 77" mounted on a wall. The room has cathedral ceilings about 15 feet high, with the high point directly above where the TV is mounted. I want to spend 1000.00 or less for a sound bar system, dialogue clarity is important, and I would like Dolby Atmos and Dolby Volume. I'm thinking about the Nakamichi - Shockwafe 7.1.4Ch 850W Soundbar System with 10” Wireless Subwoofer, does anyone have any other recommendations?
I have basically the same room but my tv is the C3 77” and I went with the Bose 900 with 700 subwoofer and 700 surrounds. I couldn’t be anymore happy with my choice. The AdaptIQ is what really sold me because of how it calibrates everything. I’m also in the process of getting another sub for even more bass. The one 700 subwoofer is really enough but I want another for aesthetics really
Why is there a Sony PlayStation 5 blocking the left side channel of the Sonos Arc? (My winner is the Arc/Sub3/Era300’s, but I’m eager to see your Nakamichi-review
Question the white sonos arc you have mounted in one of the clips at the end is basically contained between book shelves. I have the same setup at home. Am I losing the effect of a left and right front speaker basically because of that? Not something I can change since the shelves are built into the wall, but curious.
I don’t understand why Polk, Vizio and Nakamichi aren’t ever mentioned on these reviews. These 3 brands overwhelmingly represent what people are buying in soundbars.
I have the Bose ultra with the bass module 700. I’d give it a 9/10 for movies and 7/10 for music, depending on what type of music you like and how loud you like it.
Your the man I need to talk to so because I'm caught between the sony ht-a7000 and the BOSE ultra smart. Only thing that's catching me is the bose only supports dolby atmos and not DTS:X when the sony supports both. Also I've watched a few reviews of the sony and it says the sound can be disappointing especially when your using the satelite speakers and the soundbar just drowns them out.

Super happy with this beast
we bought the Bose 900 on offer at €699 for our cinema room which is average size a couple of weeks ago and love the sound very immersive for the size of our room.
The Bose costs way more also. Maybe you would be better with the ARC+sub+era 300 now that the price is lowered or an Ambeo Max.
did you add a sub or extra speakers to Bose?
Sony HTA7000 was my choice. I love the 2 HDMI 2.1 inputs and I completed the system with the sub and R5 atmos rear surround speakers. The soundfield is incredible and calibrating is super easy. Now, I just power on Apple TV 4K+ and the whole system activates thru HDMI 1 and my Panasonic 820 4K Blu-Ray is thru HDMI 2. LOVE IT !!!

How did you get it so cheap! any specific website?

Idk, I’m seeing it’s almsot as expensive as the other options here
I went for the Sony A7000 because it just sounds incredible.
Do whatever you can to avoid getting sucked in to the horrible Sonos ecosystem. The connectivity has always been garbage and forget about connecting to a third party unless you want to pony up $1000+
The Sony wasn’t bad but the Sonos is just incredible. I never even once had any issues.
Once a Sonos soundbar is connected to your TV via HDMI no Wi-Fi of connectivity is required for TV audio to play. I presume this must be music streaming issues.
I hated my Arc, plus no DTS support
I just bought the Bose smart ultra and the Bose bass module 700 and omg it’s absolutely incredible and the bass is only at 50% and it’s shaking everything….ive had other soundbars and subs, but the Bose is by far the best ive had and its build is high quality and it looks very classy as well

Sonos for me, complete system. I have had it for years and I just am so impressed with the sound and so is my company when we watch a movie.
Where'd you order it from? The cheapest I can find is $1400.
@Embre2000 it sold well because Sonos has created a cult following just like Apple.
@amarcellus1714 Finally, one smart answer, all others afraid to say it loudly😂 Typical iPhone zombies always choose sonos, thinking 101% it's the best😂😂

I just bought the 990c.
When he came round he said the sound of the 990c destroys the Arc
It does.
I LOVE my Samsung Q990C. Great big sound, the subwoofer is very well built with thumping sound. Big soundstage and clear audio both with effects and voices. An absolute beast imo.

I will go with Sonos all the way. Currently have the Sonos Arc with the original Sonos base and Sonos SL for the rears. Eventually I will upgrade the subwoofer to the newest.
Best move ever, I often turn my sub gen 3s off to remind myself of why I spent the extra a year after getting the bar

The Sennheiser Ambeo Plus is currently on sale for £899.

Hi there, just wondering if you kept the Ambeo Plus and what you make of it? Thanks.

If you get Q990C for $700 USD don’t think there is much room to drop, it’s cheaper than Sonos Arc by itself.
And a year later they make a new set maybe called Q1000C and so on..just like they bring a new TV on the market every 6 months..
I have the Q990B and absolutley love it. I've seen the C on sale for around £950 too.
Bought the Q990C yesterday for 989 usd 🤩
The B and C are almost identical as well, so getting that for even cheaper is a great option. Samsung is the best value soundbar package there is.
If you want a good affordable sound bar, Samsung 990c. If you have a 3k budget for SONOS, you might as well bump it up to 4k and buy the DRAGON.
I’m blown away by this greyed out feature I found 2 years later. lol
I managed to get the Samsung Q990C for €900 so I think it is a no-brainer
i was interested in Samsung, but whats is 4k passthrough/upscaling which it is lacking?
Current best sound bar on the market? I want an Apple Homepod, but I don’t think it’s even needed if I’m getting a sound bar. Please help. I want the best of the best Solution that offers HomePod features, but the best sound bar quality. I am really confused on what to buy.
Nakaimichi dragon is the winner. I have it and it blows away the Samsung 990 c which is very good 👍
Paying 3000+ for a soundbar you would expect it to blow away a system you can get for 800dollars or less. Whats insane is that Sonos charges 2/3 of the Dragon price and still performs worse than the samsung hahaha
what is 4k pass-through? Does it mean the Bose Ultra cannot play 4K movies?
Hey, great sumup!
Question: Could you also test Teufel soundbars in the future? It’s a well known brand here in Germany.

Love Ultimea S80, works for me. ❤
@@zgoaty9235 Any benefit doing through the soundbar instead of going through the tv and eArc out?
@@jb7753 The main benefit with going through the soundbar is you don’t lose an HDMI port on the TV to the soundbar itself if the soundbar has even 1 additional input (with some having 2-4 additional inputs even).
Not to mention, less cables connected to the TV makes a cleaner setup.
Hellooooo.........WHERE is the Nakamichi Dragon in this comparison??
The Samsung Q990c regularly goes on sale for about $700 with Employee Purchase Program. Awesome value for money!!!
This is one of the best setups curently.
Q990D vs JBL Bar 1300, which one u reckon deliver better sound quality for movie & music?
Have the Bose 900 W/Bose Bass 700 & Bose 700 surround rear speakers. With the EQ setup with placement headphones for the soundbar to adjust the sound to where your setting. Very Cool! Plus multiple seating speakers adjustments to add to listening pleasure.. rear speakers our host wasn’t impressed.. my experience provides a full listening environment . So in closing, Bose fan sense their 301 loud speakers came out in the 70’s.. yup older fan!
If I wanted a soundbar only and no extra subwoofer or speakers which one is better?
Well, Sonos Arc looks good but no DTS:X support. I can't speak of other sound bars as well.

How was the jbl bar 1300, it seems to be quite interesting.
It's great for very small spaces like a bedroom. In a living room space, you will be very highly disappointed as I was. I ended up returning for that reason as I needed a big sound in the living room.
The Samsung Q990D claims to have a 4K 120Hz passthrough. Is that right?
That is correct. If you're a gamer and have a ps5 or Xbox series x, then that's the soundbar you want. That's assuming you have a 120hrz tv. I have 3 LG oleds. The cx,c1, and c2. All 4 HDMI inputs are 2.1, and the hdmi 2 port is e(arc). In my bedroom, I have the LG c2 hooked up to a Samsung 990c. I'm probably going to get the 990d for my living room.
Then Where stand sony HT A9 with SW-5 when we compare with other sound bar ??
And Is That compare with nakamichi dragon ?????
Soundbars are limited when it comes to spaciousness unless you add rear speakers. HT-A9+ SW-5 kills the competition in this regard. And Sony's 360SSM works like magic if your ceilings are below 15ft.

Sonos sub gen 3 vs Bose bass module 700 Which is better ?

Thank you!!!!
The Bose does have side firing compressions drivers in plain sight (phase guides).
Ordered the Sonos Arc yesterday but quickly cancelled. It would be perfect with DTS-HD and DTS:X support but without them, I can't justify it.
No DTS is a no go.
What about the Nakamichi Dragon?
What about Beosound Stage?
Where is your tv stand and sideboard from please?

It should have also dolby atmos and my tv? Or the “job” done from the soundbar?
Thanks in advance
Your TV needs to support Dolby Atmos too, the signal is just used by your soundbar and not generated in it
I purchased the Samsung Q990c soundbar system, but feel its leans to much towards the bass and overpowers everything else. voices are very clear and atmos on the right film is very good. Overall a good system, but doesn't compete with a amplifier and separate speakers.

I wanted to get the nakamichi dragon but I don’t think it will come to the UK :(
I don't have a soundbar yet, but the main reason I would go for the Bose would be the TrueSpace feature.

What about AudioBeamer? Way cheaper than other ones in the market
Harman/Kardon Citation 1100 is the best
Sonos ARC + sub gen 3 and Beam +mini.
One in my family room the other one in the basement.😊
Why is there a Sony PlayStation 5 blocking the left side channel of the Sonos Arc? (My winner is the Arc/Sub3/Era300’s, but I’m eager to see your Nakamichi-review
Do the 3.0-channel AVR-powered speakers, such as the Elac 2.0 B6.2, offer decent performance compared to these soundbars?
