Is this KO better than Leon on Usman?
This is the thing, what criteria do you use to judge the best KO? Under the circumstances i think Leon on Usman was the best because Leon was 4-0 down in rounds and he came back to KO Usman to win the belt. Recency bias is why People say Max won, Yes it was risky for him to point to the ground in round 5 being way up but that was only when 10 seconds were left and max knew he had Gaethje was hurt, not discrediting Max because only a warrior like him would do that and KO Gathje with 2 seconds to go. Also the BMF is not regarded as highly as the lightweght ufc belt. Furthermore, you could argue Head kicking someone out cold is harder skill wise than over right KO somebody. Both were vicious knockouts but I have to give it to Leon due to everything i have mentioned and i'm not even a Leon fan.

He had more damaging shots in that both rounds

Yes it was speacial. A couple years ago we was talking about and hoping for a Izzy vs Bones fight. An now after UFC 300 I can’t help but foresee who actually is the biggest threat to Bones. If Reyes can unofficially beat Bones which he definitely won that fight against Bones; imagine what Poatan can potentially do. That’s the fight, if Poatan wins his Heavyweight debut. If Max regains his title he should fight Conor and Nate next and maybe try an redeem his Poirier loss then go to Hollywood because he is a legend now 100%
