Cena was NEVER the same after tht match, he did win his 16th World Title but we all knew he was not the same again!! But he was startin to lose more matches years after, getting squashed by KO, losin to seth the nex year, and losing to Roman twice #WETHEONES. But Cena still hasnt recovered from tht match Wrestlingwise

Him coming back to the cheers even though the “John Cena Sucks” tune was still happening reminds me of Kurt Angle. Even when Kurt was loved, the you suck tune was there as that appreciation and love from the fans to the superstar. I think thats the similar part to John now, and its kinda ironic that Kurt was the first televised match that Cena had

I got into wrestling late in 2009 at a young age. Cena was my favorite & I remember him fondly, but I got lucky because Super Cena died around the time I started getting sick of it. I was happy to see KO beat him clean in 2015 & AJ in 2016.
The only other time I’ve seen Cena eviscerated this much was when he was in that Funhouse match & Bray sent him thru an acid trip breaking down his character & doing a visual pipe bomb on his career & WWE’s backstage politics when it comes to other talent.

I love Cena and Roman just because I said him gettin squashed was entertaining doesn’t mean I’m one of the anti Cena fans. If it was guys like Roman, Rock, Austin or even Brock it wouldn’t make a difference because they could take a loss like that and still look strong because they’re megastars. And i disagree on that comment of him putting over ppl throughout his whole career, majority of the matches he won he didn’t need to win. He could’ve put over Bray Wyatt at Wrestlemania, he could’ve put over The Nexus back at SummerSlam, and no I didn’t “bitch” about him winning but you wanna know what’s not fair? is that WWE fails to build new stars and end up letting them go because they rather go to the same well and use the same part timers when it should’ve been new stars in that opportunity. So I think you need to calm down my guy.

Brock and SummerSlams are a scary sight together. He only lost 2 of them his whole career (Kurt Angle in 2003 and Taker due to a low blow that led to the Hell’s Gate submission in 2015).
Lesnar beat The Rock, Cena, Orton (nasty work), Triple H, Punk, Roman, Strowman, and Samoa Joe.
    Mr. SummerSlam?

    80s had Hogan
    90s had Austin
    2000s had Cena

Cena was Our Generations Hulk Hogan. I would say more sane, but similar concept.

To be even more accurate, Cena was Vision

I dont care how the older fans felt, cena was my superman as a child, and an inspiration. I literally would not have grown into the same man I am today if it wasnt for "super cena", he was the ultimate role model, so the loud minority of hardcore wrestling fans mean nothing, more people loved him than hated him

I didn't have no problem with super Cena being born in the early 2000's more specifically late 2001 there wasn't many people that was my favorite wrestler Stone cold he was a evil heel and around 2003 where I started getting into wwe he already retired from in ring wrestling and somehow idk how but John Cena he became my favorite wrestler for a very long time all the way up until 2011.

John Cena is my favorite wrestler of all time because I was a kid during the Super Cena Era ever since late 2009😂

I don't think my brain really processed the level to which Cena got massacred until several weeks later tbh 😅
BTW, it's definitely a blessing in disguise that this wasn't Bryan because one of two things would have happened. Either he would have gotten the Kofi Special (IYKYK)... or they would have had *this* match with the suplexes - keep in mind Daniel Bryan's brain was already sizzling like freshly cooked fajitas 😬😬😬

Hey same can be said about Brock Lesnar. Man just pops up with a F5 and wins a match he gets “injured” in

That was supposed to be Daniel Bryan until he got hurt. Can you imagine how bad the reaction would have been.

And just to think it was supposed to be Daniel Bryan that got destroyed by Lesnar, there would have been riots in the arena!!!

Crazy to think this probably wouldn't have happened had Daniel Bryan not gotten injured post Mania 30 and was forced to relinquish the titles, because seemingly he was the one booked to face Lesnar and lose this way at Summerslam.

The only reason Cena never went heel after 2009 was because of the toy and merch deals
