    Couldn't agree more. I've used a lot of this stuff. As you say, for folks who aren't ready for a full 9H coating, CanCoat is a terrific option. Easy to work with; very good durability, and a nice pop on white/silver/grey. With a burnish, killer gloss on red/black. It's self-cleaning abilities are also pretty impressive for this sort of product. I like it a lot, obviously.
    Edit: I want to add a few words about Gyeon. Had some questions about the product first time I used it and shot a quick note to Gyeon on Facebook - most convenient at the time. They got back to me within a half hour with a detailed response. Can't ask for more. Microfibertech/Autofiber is similarly costumer-driven, IME. Excellent companies to work with.

    I’m getting more than 12 months out of this so far. Rather than use the sprayer, I cut a small piece of microfibre towel (2”x3”) and wet it direct from the bottle, apply and buff. No issues with smearing or high spots.

    This is great, thanks Brian. I like how you incorporated waterless wash, as there are many people out there that want to keep their cars clean but have no water hose for a proper wash.
    On the flip-side, I've been looking for something that is easy to apply as Bead maker, but that does not need to be applied after every wash. So Gyeon Can Coat + Gyeon Cure is something I will definitely consider going forward.

    That is a really Great product! Amazing beading and Good durability. There is one thing I find rather difficult with the Can Coat. It feels sticky When Buffing it off with a Microfiber Towel. Something I’m doing wrong? I add just 2-3 sprays pr. panel, sprays directly into a Microfiber applicator, spread it out with the pad in 2 directions/overlapping motions and buff it off after 10-15 seconds. I always use 2 Towels When Buffing. One for Removing most of the «leftover» and one for the Perfect shine.

    Lasts for years if do two coats.
    Also good on flat white or red paint if there's no scope for correction.

    I’ve gotten about 12 months of crazy beading from can coat. I live in So Cal, so mostly warm and dry here, YMMV in other areas. Can coat is in a class by itself. Way more substantial than a typical SiO2 spray topper product, and easier to use than a full on liquid coating. Plus you can reapply it over itself after a few months without polishing surface clean again like you would have to with a true coating. Adding Gyeon Cure cut 1:1 with distilled water makes it pop even more and makes surface insanely slick.

    Great video Brian! If I did not have so many products this and Moonlight is in consideration.
    I have not used it yet but have bought a chemical resistant clay towel that you combo with either an iron remover like Gyeon Iron or if a more dirty panel with no loose dirt but imbedded contaminants Sonax Glass Cleaner. Gyeon clays is compatible with their iron remover Iron and also Britemax BDX and their clay is an option.
    What do you think of the use of both clay and iron remover before correction to save a step?
    I would use a tar remover first after a wash and then the clay and iron remover combo.

    What lasts longer Jescar powerlock plus sealant or gyeon can coat coating

  • @2jimmycrackcorn
    @2jimmycrackcorn 5 років тому +9

    One thing to note: Gyeon typically is very conservative on their coating lifetime estimations. MOHS, Skin, synchro are all underrated on lifetime.
    I have CanCoat on a panel of my vehicle as my daily is a test mule for customer offered coatings I install, it’s been 7 months now, And I have stretched the coating lifetime, with stuff as simple as WetCoat and Cure along side proper maintnence.
    At month 6, I washed my vehicle with Migliorie Citrus wash to strip the toppers from the panels, and after the next wash(1 week without toppers), it still retained its hydrophobic properties.
    I have also seen WaxModes video of the wet application, and I think you could stretch this entry level coating to well over a year, doing a wet application every 3/4 months after month 8 of the initial coat.
    Great product in my opinion. It’s actually my money maker in comparison to serious coatings as customers and clients who haven’t ever gotten into a coating are more comfortable with trying it as it’s less costly, easier on me and the results it brings get them to request for a serious standalone coating when the time for that comes to.

      I would have to agree probably the only detailing channel on UA-cam that is credible in my opinion. Big 👍 to Brian for the time and effort he puts into the making of his reviews.
      I'm surprised other so call detailing channels are so popular considering the nothing more than paid adds

    Hey Brian! Got a question! We just compound polished an 18 year old Volvo V70 Classic! The clearcoat seems in top condition coz cars been protected by Silver Seal coating ever since new ithink. The problem is car has stand under a tree for a long period & things like resin & branches n stuff have fallen onto the roof causing major dots n scratches all over roof. Im using CarPro's ClearCut. Iv done the roof 1 time with no improvment on scratches. Do you still think i should keep going with ClearCut, or are there any stronger chemicals for removing stuff falling from trees? Im using Wool pads on machine. Any good advices on those tricky hard core situations... ??

      Have you tried. Sonax CutMax, Cut and Finish...or 3D ACA 500 or even 3D AAT501?

    • @tredfxman
      @tredfxman 5 років тому

      @@apexdetail85 Nope havent tried. would you say Sonax CutMax cuts diffrently than ClearCut? Iwas also lookin at your video on Sonax scratch repair kit, but those only hides the scratches right? i assume if u want em gone forever polish is the only way? We were thinking of putting boiling hot water on a small area of roof to just see how the marks reacts. then later filling in with acual original carpaint from Volvo if nothing else would ahhem, Cut it so to speak..

    Excellent video and I appreciate your time and effort ✊I need spring weather on Long Island. I need to do my wheels off and change the brake pads to carbon ceramic because the brake dust is unreal. I will do a polish and coat my wheels again and then calipers.
