Unplugging the cable at the end and letting it hit the floor = Ambient guitar mic drop! (And: cool video, great sounds, great player.)
Prefect lol
Sarah's responsible for my pedal-lust and approach to writing music with the guitar. So cool to hear the process breakdown and exploration.
Yeah, she definitley hasn’t helped my addiction out over the passed few years, lol. Not complaining, mind you.
Been waiting for this one for a while! Her path through music reminds me of mine, being enrolled into piano, switching to drums, then going at guitar with no lessons
Same!
Big fan of Noveller!
great movie, I loved every minute...
yep you did it again,,outstanding
Sarah is so incredible. I saw Noveller open for St. Vincent a number of years ago and she blew my mind.
An ambient artist?
Wow 👍🏼👍🏼🙂🎸🎸🎸🎸 greetings from Olympus Guitars.🎸🌹
Warren Cuccurullo?
Oh cool, I went to middle school with her.
She should visit JHS and be like a kid in a candy store with all the pedals in their collection. 😊
who did the painting in the back?
This is so cool.
Almost like what minus the bear does with delays.
You know I've never seen Sarah use an Ebow. I'm not saying she hasn't, but if that's the case I have a feeling she would love an Ebow.
I've never seen her use an Ebow (singular) either!

😎👍 💗🎸🎼🔊Sarah ROCKS!!!
Is that a cello, violin or viola bow?
Seems like a violin or viola. Too long to be a cello bow.
I have a question. I tried calling Reverb today but of course couldn’t get a human being on the phone. I want to buy a guitar off Reverb which I’ve never done and the guy who’s selling it has no reviews because he claims it’s his first time. I’m very sceptical, I can’t afford to lose the money. How do the transactions normally work , him and I both have no clue , or so he claims. Please any advice or help would be great , from anyone. Thanks
If you have any questions or concerns or need assistance with the ordering process, please feel free to contact our Support Team via our live chat when on the Reverb website or by submitting a Help Request here : help.reverb.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
if it's in your area see if he has a kijiji/craiglist ad as well so check for authenticity!
@@DelScully great idea , thanks.
Very cool soundscape,
😎young lady....!
(...it's an art!)
Love listening to her play! She seriously needs to compose a sci-fi movie soundtrack or a coming of age sort of story!
Intro sounds like Stonehenge by Spinal Tap.
I found someone who is so similar to my approach guitar since i had a 4 track. I could use some help from people like her.
she's got really good taste in pedals for sure - the meris pedals, eventide, the pitch fork, the supa-puss... all top
Easily the most underrated talent in the music world! Go listen to some of her other stuff! ( A pink sunset for no one / Rubicon )
No one is the most anything
Honestly, I cannot stop thinking that those shoes cannot possibly be well suited for pedal work. But more power to her.
They’re perfect. Arched down with a pointy toe. What could be better?
I love the idea of composing music around effects and have never bought the "tone is in the fingers" crowd. Unfortunately tone is in the money and I'm poor af lol. While you can get tons of generic effects nowadays for quite little getting any of the unique stuff will set you back a lot. I wish Multi FX came with more "unique" effects. I keep my M5 around mostly for that reason even though it's pretty dated.
The only people who do not subscribe to the tone being in the fingers, are those who are either tone deaf, or those who just cant play and just do not get it. The tone is absolutely in the fingers! Suck it up princess.
The pop version of drone lol
Nah. This is post-rock.
Lessons are great to get a player started. But, if you’re born with an ear, the rest just comes naturally after a short time with a good teacher that gives you a guide to playing, rather than pushing mathematics on you. Theory should follow; not lead a beginner.
i took lessons for like 3-4 months to try and learn theory but gave up quickly as I just wanted to learn to play songs I liked.. Now 6 years in I truly wish I stuck with them as most of us hit that guitar limbo after a couple years and stay in that same spot forever.. I kind of learn new things the same was as her with pedals though, and experiment with sound more so than technique these days. Would love to learn how to read music one day though.
@@DelScully : I’ve been playing for 49 years now. The problem was with me was I had a natural ability so all I wanted to do was play. I had no interest in learning to read or write and unfortunately I never did. My ear was so good that I could just listen and go straight to where I needed to be, the play it. Unfortunately, I’ve never been able to put anything down on the paper; only tablature. I have to record to save something or remember it. That’s very limiting...
I had two teachers my first two years of learning. One year with each teacher. They taught me volumes on how to play but I never did get back around to learning the theory. If you ever do get in to theory there’s a lot of different ways to learn it and I hope you’re able to; just for the fact that you'd have the ability to write it down then be able to sight read it and play it at any time; even if you forget it years later. For the fact that I’ve never been able to write, I’ve had literally hundreds of arrangements disappear over time, which is kind of a shame. Good luck to you;)
Just look at Andy from reverb he is self taught and his style and playing is amazing
I make ambient soundscapes…
..not that hard to describe what you do. Also, the instrument you use doesn’t matter. It may seem odd to people that a guitar is involved, but it’s just a stringed instrument like any other string instrument. 😐
She specifically said that it's about the effects, not the guitar
Not all stringed instruments are the same. A bunch of tonal manipulation needs to be done to make a guitar sound like a violin or a violin like a hurdy-gurdy. Also, you are being a bit hopeful for the general populace by saying the average person understands what the hell "ambient soundscape" means.

These comments, I swear...
zzzz
Daeeeeng Alternative Jimmy Page
Lurch would froth this shit.
Clueless people will still believe all this amazing playing takes no talent cause pedals do it all for her...
Have heard the same thing from 13 year olds at Guitar center
@@arrowinstall like I said, clueless.
@@ileutur6863 To call her a musician/artist is like calling a person that throws paint at an empty canvas an artist.... Wow look how she throws the paint!! She's attractive but not an artist. Over using effect pedals is like trying to hide a pimple with make up....
If you strip away the pedals I can play that melody of hers on a window air-conditioner. Really need a circulating fan for the harmony and rhythm though.
@@arrowinstall you just keep digging yourself down dude. We get it, you don't know how pedals work, just like all the other stuck up boomers.
An effects player more than a guitar player.
Try to replicate what she does and you'll see how difficult that is, she is definitely more creative then most guitar players.
so?
@@mablo168 Welcome to the free world. You can have your own opinion on what you like.
@@arrowinstall Opinions are supported with arguments, and you have none to support what you said.
@@mablo168 LOL Reverb is a online effects/ musical instruments seller. Why does anyone think she's here?? To sell you pedals! duh
Hot but not an especially great music.
"I never took lessons". That's really obvious.
"The reason I love pedals" To cover up the fact that you never took lessons.
Oh no, I only have an extremely unique and innovative body of work that approaches guitar music in a whole new way, have inspired thousands, have a large and loyal fan base, soundtrack films and video games and tour the world, touching people with my music, but some nobody on the internet just insulted me cos I don’t make music like every single other guitarist, whatever will I do?
