Great to see the number of times you see Clint Eastwood smiling or laughing. I would imagine he creates a very relaxed set which is so beneficial to all involved.
One the best movies I've seen- very emotional being an ex- Air Hostess (Flight Attendant) in Australia in the 1970's, thankfully never endured this sort of emergency- lost an engine once on a B727 but we still had two running but at the Captains request we implemented the appropriate emergency procedures- the Captain dumped most of the fuel and we headed back to Brisbane Airport and landed normally 👍🏿🇦🇺

He was a qualified Captain at the time of the crash. He was a first officer by choice as he had his own company to run. As a first officer he could choose his hours. As a captain you don't have that luxury.
@@ericcaires6423 Where in my comment do you think I'm not aware that it was a forced landing? I was just stating how lucky the plane was to have Jeff Skiles in the second chair.
While Clint Eastwood looks frail, he obviously still has “all the right stuff” to be making excellent movies! He sure knows the great scripts to produce and direct. Scully is a great movie. The whole cast delivers thanks to a great production team headed up by Clint! Keep them coming, Mr Eastwood. We need good films with real life heroes to look up to and not all those comic book superheroes with heroic powers that only exist in the imagination.
It's crazy how actors can immerse themselves so well even with all these cameras and crew right around them. The setting is so incredibly unnatural, especially like the cockpit scene which in reality was them just sitting on 2 chairs surrounded by multiple camera guys.
I fly quite a bit and Sully, his co-pilot and air traffic control guys saved over 145 people. Still unreal and Hanks was perfect in the role. These folks along with so many don't have to wear hats telling people to Make America Great, THEY DID!!!
I just finished watching the movie Sully, and my god i can't believe that he still had to go through all that bullshit even after he saved all those on board. The man is a hero, and a true master pilot. He knew his plane better than any engineer, and correctly assessed the situation on the spot and made the best choice. Hats off to you, captain!
No he did not. NTSB did a routine investigation and confirmed Sully did everything right. Eastwood added conflict for Hollywood purposes (and probably also because of his ideology - portraying federal agency as bad warms the heart of any libertarian republican)
The next time you watch a Hollywood movie that was based on real people or historical events, do yourself a favor and read up on the actual people and events.
I know this comment is old lol but it wouldn't play well in a film showing no emotion at all. I think he did a great job of externalising the internal juuust enough so the audience could feel the stakes, but not so much it was OOC for Sully.
@@chocolatcats That is true. HOWEVER, if your video is supposed to show "behind the scenes," it helps to actually SHOW those scenes. 3-4 second clips are practically worthless.
